Chapter 19 Fighting for the Night

When I came back in the evening, the atmosphere had turned gloomy.

The Husband tan had expired, and he no longer wore the sportswear.

He adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and asked, "No objections if I go tonight, right?"

"Yes." The two said in unison.

The gold-rimmed-glasses Husband coldly curled his lips. "Objections or not, hold it in. If we let her continue playing, our team can disband."

The wild black-skinned man raised his eyebrow slightly, wanting to retort.

But he only bit down on the cigarette in his mouth.

He fidgeted irritably with the lighter in his hand but could not light the cigarette no matter what.

The sportswear boy could not hold it in. "She's my wife. My wife."

The gold-rimmed-glasses man slapped him backhandedly.

He looked at the gold-rimmed-glasses man in disbelief.

The gold-rimmed-glasses man said coldly, "Calm now?"

The sportswear boy's face flushed red with defiance.

The gold-rimmed-glasses Husband suddenly looked at me and commanded, "Come here."

I obediently walked to his side.

The gold-rimmed-glasses Husband commanded again, "Kiss me."

I felt a bit embarrassed and fidgeted with my fingers.

His emotionless voice sounded again. "Kiss me."

I thought the Husband must also want to show off affection like others.

As his wife, I should give him some face in front of outsiders.

So I blushed and planted a kiss on his cheek.

After the kiss, I wanted to leave.

But the gold-rimmed-glasses Husband suddenly pinched my face, forcing me to face the two. "Look closely. She has no feelings. She's just a ghost anomaly. Whoever has the Work Badge, she recognizes as Husband. She does not love you at all, understand."

It hurt where he pinched me.

I did not know why the Husband suddenly roared.

I only heard the word "love."

I blankly pulled at his hand and innocently hugged his neck. "Husband, please don't be angry, okay."

"I swear I only love you, alright?"

The gold-rimmed-glasses Husband instantly fell silent and suddenly lowered his head to look at me.

"Damn." The black-skinned man with the cigarette cursed softly.

The sportswear boy's eyes showed a hint of madness. "...Then if I keep holding the Work Badge, will she always only love me?"
