Chapter 20 Biting Away the Black Mist

The gold-rimmed-glasses man expressionlessly dragged me into the room.

He warned me in a low voice not to get close to him or talk to him.

He did not go to bed to sleep.

Instead, he made do on the reading chair by the bed for the night.

Soon even breathing came from beside me.

I quietly got down from the bed and walked to him.

I reached out and took off his glasses. The Husband had a high nose bridge and deep eye sockets.

But between his furrowed brows was a thick black mist.

"Crunch, crunch." I straddled the Husband, hugging his head as I bit and chewed into that black mist.

The black mist gradually faded. The Husband's furrowed brows smoothed out, and he opened his eyes at the same time.

I looked at him with bright eyes as if seeking credit. "Husband."

The Husband was so mean to me tonight.

It must be because this black mist made him uncomfortable.

But it was okay. I almost finished solving it for him.

I thought the Husband would reward me.

But he only breathed unevenly for a few moments, then his expression turned cold and he said calmly to me, "Get off."
