Chapter 6 Signed and Explained

The second the Divorce Agreement was in my hands, it felt unreal.

Especially the complicated, almost regretful look on Song Jin Nian’s face.

I clutched the papers to my chest.

“Once it’s done, there’s no taking it back.”

He was already in a dark mood.

My words made it worse.

“Regret isn’t in my vocabulary.”

I bit back a smile.

“Of course. Even divorced, Song Jin Nian is still the man I respect most.”

He left with storm clouds around him.

The moment the door closed, I called out.

“System! System! We’re divorced. What’s next? You said once the task was complete I could go home.”

The System appeared, calm as ever.

It explained everything.

Song Jin Nian’s amnesia wasn’t random.

It was the world correcting its trajectory.

Erasing his obsession with me so he could properly fall for the real female lead.

“They’ve already arranged his first meeting with her,” the System said. “Host, just wait. I’ll submit the report. Once approved, you’re free to return.”

“Okay.”

I thought I’d be thrilled.

But a quiet ache settled in.

I’d lived with Song Jin Nian for so long.

His love had always been intense—twisted, possessive, overwhelming.

But pure in its own way.

The idea of never seeing him again...

It hurt more than I expected.

Then I remembered the astronomical settlement I’d just secured.

All of it coming with me.

I smiled.

New world, new money, new men—plenty to keep me from missing Song Jin Nian.
