Chapter 11

Imperial Hotel, Presidential Suite

Harrison, dressed in a black suit and with his hair neatly groomed, exuded an air of nobility as he sat calmly at his desk listening to the report. Several middle-aged men stood in front of the desk, dressed in luxurious clothes. These were men who could command empires with a word, but in front of the young and infamously cold CEO, they all trembled like schoolboys caught cheating on a test.

On Harrison's desk was a laptop connected to his phone, and a remote video conference was being held. There were only a few high-level personnel in the suite, but in the Whitney Corporation's conference room in Willowbrook City, hundreds of shareholders and company executives sat up straight, staring at the cold face of Harrison on the big screen, trembling with fear.

Today was the shareholder meeting, where the business strategy plan for the next quarter was being formulated.

Harrison couldn't return to Willowbrook City, so he rented an entire floor of a hotel as his office to remotely handle business and hold video conferences. The executives present had all flown in on a private jet.

"Sir, here's the quarterly report," a trembling executive handed over the document. He was in charge of a project that had performed poorly, and with the CEO's tough attitude, he was sure to be fired on the spot.

Harrison took the report expressionlessly, and began to read it. Everyone in the Willowbrook conference room was also nervously staring at the screen.

Just then, his phone on the table buzzed twice. He glanced at it, then put down the report and picked up his phone.

The atmosphere in the room was tense, and suddenly a message popped up on the big screen -

Wife: "Harrison, can you stop by the supermarket on your way home and buy some green onions?"

In an instant, the room fell silent. The executives standing in front of the desk were all shocked.

Buy green onions? What did that mean?!!

Who dared to give orders to Young Master Whitney like this? Did someone send the wrong message?

But... the contact name was clearly written as "Wife"!

The crowd was puzzled.

The scene on the screen was broadcast live to hundreds of people in the conference room of the Whitney Corp in Willowbrook, and the whole room fell silent.

Just then, another message popped up on the screen

Harrison: Got it

The crowd was stunned.Somewhere in the room, a pencil broke. The CEO had actually agreed to buy vegetables for his wife?! The CEO had a wife?! When the heck did all that happen?? Everyone turned their heads and looked at Harrison as if he were a tiger in a pink apron.

Harrison was still responding to Harper's message and was unaware that he had become the center of attention. He looked at the high-level executive in front of him with a cold gaze, "How do you plan to explain your project to me?" That's when he noticed that the message Harper had sent him was on the big screen. He'd forgotten that he had his phone connected to his laptop! Still, he turned off his phone and his gaze on the high-level executive seemed to become even more intense.

The high-level executive's face turned pale and he began to sweat profusely, "Well sir,I..."

Just then, the screen flashed again and anothermessage popped up, "Honey, come home for dinner and remember to buy me a pretty nightgown. I'll wear it for you tonight. Love you!" It even had a little red heart emoji.

Harrison stared at the cheesy message on the screen for a few seconds without saying a word. The high-level executives dared not make a sound and quickly looked down at the ground.

Harrison's gaze darkened and he closed the message. He then raised his chin at the pale-faced high-level executive, "You may leave now."

He stood up and coolly instructed Clyde, "I'll be out for a moment. You'll take over the meeting."

The high ranking executive watched as Harrison left and felt grateful to Madam Whitney. He was saved! The CEO wouldn't fire him!

"Tina! What did you do?!" Harper stared at the message on her phone in horror and looked at her friend who kept bouncing all over the place. She wanted to make dinner and had left her phone with Tina for a while only to see the crazy message she had sent to Harrison. What was he going to think of her now?
