Harper realized what she has just blurted out and tried running away but it was too late. Harrison had already stretched out his long arms and locked her waist in a tight embrace while whispering in her ear "That's a good idea,what do you think about ten?" Harper had already come back to her senses and she pulled herself out of his embrace. She turned to look at him with a small frown "That's way too many kids!" "It's fine, just one is enough. I'll help take care of the baby"
Harper couldn't help but imagine the scene of Harrison changing the baby's diaper with a cold face. Hold up,if he took care of the baby, wouldn't the baby end up like him? She quickly shook her head in her mind. She didn't want an ice baby! "There's no need, I'll take care of the baby while you go out to earn money" Harrison smiled at his wife who was pouting and couldn't help but think 'She's so cute!' He pulled her into his embrace again and pecked her on the lips "Whatever you say my love. Now come on, let's go home" "Um can we go see mom first?" "Sure thing, let's go"
"What do you mean?!" Upon reaching home,Ruby received a call. The person who called actually told her that William and Catherine weren't her real parents! What in the world? "Miss, I'm telling you the truth. You're not a daughter of the Carson family. If you want to meet your real family,I can-" Ruby didn't let the person on the other end to finish before desicively ending the call.
She came out of the toilet and bumped into Catherine. Catherine who had red eyes that had swollen from crying glared at Ruby with hatred "You damn girl, if it weren't because of you,my poor Chloe wouldn't be in jail right now! I'm going to teach you a lesson you'll never forget!" Catherine pulled Ruby by the collar and raised her hand, about to hit her when someone suddenly stopped her. William stood beside Catherine and held her hand while glaring at her. "What are you trying to do?!"
"Well,I-" "That's enough! Were you trying to hit her? Don't you dare" "But she-" "That's enough, Chloe's now in jail, do you want to lose your other child as well?" "I-" "Get out of here" Catherine slowly left with tears in her eyes,but she made sure to bump into Ruby, almost causing her to fall down. William noticed this of course,but he refused to help her. He simply crossed his arms behind his back and gave a sly smile "You're fine right?" "Yes dad" "Don't be mad at your mom, she's just feeling down because of Chloe" "I understand" "Good kid! Oh by the way you have somewhere important to go tomorrow, Mal says he wants to see you" "Ok" William turned to leave and Ruby fell into a deep thought. Her mother always beat her up at the slightest opportunity and her father pretended to care about her but in reality,he only saw her as a way to make money. Ruby squeezed her hand tightly around her phone. Was that person right? Were William and Catherine really not her parents? Then who were her real parents and how did she get separated from them?
Chloe looked up at the beautiful young lady who was standing in front of her with confusion "Sorry but what did you just say?" "I said I'll help you get out of jail" "But I don't know you, why would you be willing to help me?" "Because we have a common enemy" "And who's that?" "Harper Carson" "How do you know her?" "She stole my man" "Uh?" "Harrison Whitney, he's my fiance" "Wait,what?!" Harrison Whitney was simply a lowly family bodyguard. This lady standing in front of her showed luxury from head to toe, so how is it that someone like Harrison happens to be her fiance?
