Chapter 38 Declan

The next morning, Xavier is awake before me. He is sitting beside me, staring at me.

“I can’t believe that I get to keep you.” He smiles brightly.

“Since I’m keeping you, I don’t think you have a choice.” I sit up and place a kiss on his lips.

“I’m glad. It works out for both of us.” He kisses me back. The kiss quickly heats up. My cock is hard as steel, and Xavier notices. He grinds his hips into me. I pull back slightly.

“How are you feeling this morning?”

“Much better. I still hurt, but not like before. Let me show you,” he puts his hand on my chest to push me back onto the bed.

As he kisses down my chest, I put my arm behind my head. I want to watch. He takes one of my nipples between his teeth and pulls. I hiss and have to close my eyes for a second. He repeats it on the other side. When he has to reposition himself so he can move farther down, he grunts. “Xavier.”

“It’s fine, Declan. I’m fine,” he says, but continues to my cock.

“God, I love your dick,” he says right before he takes the tip into his mouth. He runs his tongue around it before swallowing as much of my length as he can. He gags a little but doesn’t let up on the suction. Just the sight of him with my dick in his mouth is almost enough to have me cum already.

He cups my balls in his free hand and tugs them away from my body. “Fuck, Xavier. I’m going to fill you so full. Damn, you feel so good.”

He hums, and that does it. I erupt down his throat. Fuck yes, I needed that. I lay my head back and catch my breath.

“I love you, Declan.”

I reach down to his hips and help him straddle my chest. He didn’t put his sleep clothes on last night.

“Grip the headboard, A Ghrá.” As soon as he is over me, I suck his cock down my throat in one go.

I found out early on that I did not have a gag reflex.

He slowly rocks his hips back and forth fucking my mouth.

I reach between his ass crease and run my finger around his hole.

Gently at first, then I apply a little more pressure.

I want to fuck him with my fingers while I deep throat him, but I didn’t have a chance to grab the lube.

It doesn’t seem to matter, though, because he is shooting his load down my throat without warning. I drink down every drop.

“Fuck, you are so good at that,” he says as he carefully moves off me to lie back down beside me. “We need to get dressed. The doctor will be here any minute. Do you think we can go home soon?”

Home. It wasn’t that long ago that he complained that I had forced him into my apartment. Now it’s home to him.

“Yeah. Let’s see what the doctor says, and then we can go home.”

Getting home takes more out of Xavier than he thought it would. Since it is still hard for him to put pressure on his back, he has to ride in the backseat.

“Do you want to head to bed now?” I ask him.

“It’s still early. Do you mind if I hang out on the couch? It’s got that chaise section that would probably be comfortable for me.”

“You can rest wherever you want to. As long as you rest.”

“I promise I will. I’ve just been in bed for four days now. I need a change of scenery. I’ll put on a movie.”

I get him settled on the couch, hand him the remote, then go to the kitchen to make him some snacks.

He’s lost a lot of weight over the past week.

The phone on the counter starts to vibrate.

I pick it up. It’s his mother calling. She has been calling and texting nonstop.

Xavier tells me constantly not to get involved.

He’s been avoiding answering her, but I can see that it bothers him every time.

I pick up the phone and answer it.

“Xavier, it’s about time. How dare you ignore me!” she yells over the line.

“Shut the fuck up.” I grit out.

“Who is this? Put Xavier on the phone now.”

“Didn’t I just tell you to shut up?” I’m done letting Xavier put up with this. He has me now and doesn’t need this. “You will stop trying to get in touch with Xavier. He wants nothing to do with you. You will never take advantage of him again.”

“I don’t know who you think you are, but Xavier is my son, and I will speak with him.”

“No, you won’t. I’m Declan Murphy, by the way, and Xavier is mine. You’ll be hearing from my lawyers on Monday.”

“Oh, Mr. Murphy, let me explain.”

I don’t want to hear it, but some macabre part of me listens. “Go ahead.”

“Xavier helps support me after,” she pauses, “after what he did. It’s only right.”

“After what he did? You mean after he, a child, was involved in an accident that took his father and sister from him? An accident that you blame him for?”

“He took them from me and he should support me. I lost my husband.”

“You selfish fucking bitch. Don’t call this number again. If you do, the lawyers will be the least of your worries.” I hang up.

“Was that my mother?” Xavier asks quietly from behind me.

“Yes.”

“I told you I would deal with her.”

I step into his personal space. “And I told you I would take care of you. That includes handling your mother. No one is allowed to hurt you. My lawyers will have a restraining order in place by Monday.” I am expecting him to argue with me about it, but he only wraps his arms around me.

“Thank you.”

“Anything for you, A Ghrá.”

———-****———

“Xavier, let’s go. I don’t want to be late.”

It’s been five weeks since I got my A Ghrá back, and his back is mostly healed.

“We aren’t going to be late,” he grumbles as he walks into the foyer.

“If you don’t get a move on, we will. Aunt Alessia might excuse you, but I won’t be so lucky. Why are you dragging your feet?”

“I’m nervous. This is the first time I’m going to be included in your little ‘family of mayhem’ meeting. What if I can’t handle hearing about what you do to people? I don’t see you like that.”

“If it bothers you, then you don’t have to be there.”

“What if it bothers me that you do it at all?”

“Then I stop,” I say honestly. “I’d give up anything I had to in order to make you happy.”

“You would?” he asks shyly.

“I would.”

“I know what you do is part of you. I already came to that conclusion. It still makes me nervous, but I’m trying.”

“That’s all I can ask,” I say.

He smiles at me. I can’t help it; I take him in my arms and kiss him. I was right the first time I saw him. He’s mine, and I will never tire of him. He will always be my obsession.
