Chapter 24
Chapter Twenty-Four
A nna had to admit that so far, the Nantucket summer was both more relaxing and more fun than she’d expected. They’d had a great day on the beach. She even swam for a bit. They took a break for lunch and catering had left an assortment of sandwiches and creamy potato salad that was out of this world. She went back to the beach for an hour or so and then had enough by around two and called it a day. She spent the rest of the afternoon resting in her room, reading a book, with Smith curled up by her feet. She also spent an hour or so editing content that she’d filmed on the beach and broke it into several short videos to post on social media. It was just fun shots of everyone on the beach and playing volleyball.
Katy stayed longer on the beach and was yawning as she walked into the room.
“You were smart to come up earlier. I might need a mini-nap before dinner. It was fun, though.”
“Did Honey mention what she is making for dinner? I meant to ask her and forgot,” Anna said.
“I think she said something about oven roasted scallops. I guess the scallops here are supposed to be really good.”
“Great.” Anna loved scallops and knew they were local and super fresh on Nantucket. Her stomach rumbled thinking about it and she glanced at the time. She needed to get a move on and get dressed and downstairs in time for dinner.
