Chapter Eight #2
“I think you’re concentrating on the parts you like. We both know you’re not a fan of rules.”
“I like your rules.” Nix frowned. “Okay, that’s a lie. You right, I don’t like the rule of no sex before a game. But I do like that you care enough to make the rules. You’ll enforce them too?”
“I will,” Evan confirmed.
“With a spanking?” Nix asked. Just the thought of Evan’s hand on his bare ass had his cock hardening. That was the good stuff he was thinking about.
“And give you what you want?” Evan questioned. “No, boy, spankings can be for fun, not punishment.”
Nix pushed out his bottom lip and whined.
“I will be much more inventive with your real punishments,” Evan promised.
“Like…” Nix drawled.
“You seem intrigued with my ropes.”
“You did promise to tie me up. That isn’t something that I’ve done before. I want to try it.”
Evan grinned. “Good. By the way, the ropes are to keep you in one position for anything else I have planned for you.”
“Okay.” Nix bobbed his head up and down. He could be tied up for fun spankings and for real punishment. Nix saw a lot of that in his future. “Okay, I get it.”
“Do you?” Evan ran his hand down Nix’s chest and stomach until he cupped Nix’s dick. “Because I don’t want you doing anything or agreeing to do something with me just because you think it’s what I want. You will not agree just to make me happy. It has to be something that we both want to do.”
Nix gasped uncontrollably. “Who told you?”
“Nix,” Evan said softly. “I see you. I’ve been watching you since you first joined the team. I know when you are putting on an act. You do it a lot.”
Nix was relieved that neither brother had ratted on him but a little worried that Evan was already figuring out his little tricks.
“You are a people pleaser,” Evan continued. “Which isn’t always a bad thing unless you lose yourself because if it. I won’t allow that to happen. I want you, the real you, and until you trust me enough to show me that side we will proceed with caution.”
Nix didn’t know how cautious he could be. He was already falling hard and fast for Evan. “So, we won our game and don’t have another until the day after tomorrow. Which means sex, right? Please say that means we can have sex!”
“I thought you wanted to watch Aries’s game?”
“But sex!”
“And we still need dinner. As you pointed out earlier, I did have a shutout. I’m starving.” Evan began to crawl off the bed.
Nix reached for him, but Evan caught his wrists. “Food, hockey, and then you will stay the night in my bed.”
He was pretty sure that asking about sex again would be pushing it. Nix nodded like the good boy he was.
“Now I’m a little worried about how good of a boy you are going to be for me tonight,” Evan said.
“I’ll be good,” Nix promised. Especially if it got him that sex.
“I don’t know about that. It just might be too much for you.” This time Evan managed to get off the mattress and crossed the room away from Nix.
He really wanted to pout. Evan could have at least stayed on the bed with him!
“Get that look off your face,” Evan said without even looking at him. “I have a plan.”
“I get the feeling that you always have a plan,” Nix complained.
“I do.” Evan couched as he began to rifle through his bag.
“What are you doing?” Nix asked, watching him.
“Find the game if that’s what you want to watch,” Evan ordered.
“Fine.” Nix rolled over and grabbed the remote off the side table.
He had to give it to the Paranormal Hockey League.
They did spring for luxury hotels. The king bed was large and comfortable and the television had to be a good eighty inches.
A nice quiet night in with Evan, best way to celebrate a win. They should do this after every game.
Nix easily found the channel showing the Vegas Vikings game. He’d only missed about six minutes of it. Nix settled back on his stomach with his feet near the head of the bed.
Evan moved around the room but Nix only paid him half of the attention that Evan truly deserved. On the screen, Aries was flying down the ice with the puck on the edge of his stick.
“Go,” Nix murmured. “Go.”
The bed dipped beside him. Nix turned his head, but Evan stopped him.
“Focus on the game, not on what I’m doing,” Evan said. “Hands behind your back.”
“Okay.” Nix complied and Evan took his wrists.
“Daddy is going to tie his boy’s wrists so that I know that you’ll keep your hands right where I want them.”
“Aren’t you ordering dinner?” Nix asked.
“Daddy will just hand-feed his boy again,” Evan said. “You seemed to like that last time, if I remember correctly. Your cock sure stayed hard the entire time.”
“Because it’s sexy,” Nix told him.
“Then be a good boy for me.” Soft fabric started to be wrapped around his wrists. Nix tried to turn his head to see but Evan leaned more weight on his legs. “Eyes on the screen.”
On the television, Aries barely managed to escape being squashed like a bug.
“Asshole!” Nix hollered at the screen as Vin plowed into Greg Thompson, making him pay for targeting Aries. Nix wanted to pound a fist on the mattress. Not that he could do that with his hands efficiently tied behind his back.
“Calm down. Aries is fine.”
“Gem was right,” Nix said. “They are targeting us.”
“What?” Evan’s fingers grabbed him above the rope. “What are you talking about?”
Oops! Nix hadn’t meant to bring that up. “Uh…”
Evan leaned more weight on him as he sat forward placing his mouth by Nix’s ear. “Explain.”
Damn his big mouth!
“Phoenix,” Evan growled.
Oh, his full name. Evan must be very serious. Shit, now Nix was going to have to tell him. “Gem might have concerns that we are being targeted by some of the predator shifters in the league that don’t want us playing with them.”
“And you didn’t tell me this why?”
“He just called yesterday!”
“Yesterday,” Evan repeated. “When?”
“Right before you arrived and we…you know.”
“I sucked you off,” Evan said.
Nix groaned. With him on his stomach with his shoulders and arms drawn back, he couldn’t even reach his cock which now throbbed with need. The ropes that Evan had used were softer than he’d expected. “Don’t say that! I’m trying to be good! My cock is already hard!”
Evan rocked forward, digging his cock into Nix’s ass. “I know.”
“Not fair,” Nix whined.
“Oh, I’m not playing fair, boy. I never said that was in the rules,” Evan told him.
“Ugh.”
“Now tell me more about what Gem said,” Evan ordered.
And they were back on that. “He didn’t say much. Just that he’d heard some of the other players don’t want smaller shifters like us in the league. He was mad about the fight because he just found that out. He told me that we needed to be careful.”
“I’m going to order our dinner and make some calls,” Evan said. “Watch the game.”
“Like this?” Nix wiggled under Evan. “All tied up?”
“That’s how I like my boy.” Evan rose to his knees before smacking Nix’s ass.
Nix groaned again. “You’re going to make me come in my pants.”
“That would definitely get you punished,” Evan warned.
“Figured.”
“Be a good boy for Daddy.” This time when Evan patted his ass, Nix tried to push up but Evan climbed off the bed.
“Come back!” Nix cried.
“Dinner, boy. I saw pumpkin pie on the room service menu,” Evan warned.
“I’m just lying here watching the game.” Not trying to get pressure on his cock or anything like that. No, he’d never do that.

Evan
With their dinner ordered, Evan started to reach out to his friends in the league. He wasn’t surprised to learn that most had already heard from Vin. Evan added his own pressure to find out what was going on.
There were guys he trusted in the league and he had a good idea who might be a problem.
If needed, once he got home, Evan would reach out to Lithis as well.
His cousin was a warrior dragon and if anyone would be willing to come help Evan watch over Nix, it would be Lithis.
Evan just hoped that it wouldn’t come to that.
Targeting the triplets was not going to happen.
It was bullshit that anyone in the league even thought this way nowadays. Predator and prey. They should be past all that. If someone wanted to test Evan’s resolve then he would remind him what a dragon was capable of.
Dragons had been hunted for centuries for their abilities. When other paranormals figured out that dragons could not be forced, bartered, or made to do their bidding, the dragons had been killed.
Evan had watched for years as his family, his clan, had been hunted to nearly extinction.
Good strong people had been killed for pure greed. Because they believed something about his species, that they could be commanded, and had been wrong. Evan was tired of fighting paranormals that should be working together.
“Shoot the puck!” Nix yelled at the screen.
Evan snorted. Nix had a tendency of talking to the television. It didn’t matter if it was a game or a movie that he’d seen a dozen times. Nix just talked to the television like he could direct the characters. It amused Evan.
He sent one last text as a knock came on the door.
Evan slipped his cell into his back pocket as he went to get the food.
“Hey, thanks for bringing this up,” Evan greeted.
“No problem, sir. Would you like me to wheel this inside?”
“I’ve got it,” Evan replied. He hadn’t spoken to Nix about anyone knowing they were together although most of their team had to know something was happening. Evan had practically announced his claim on Nix on the plane earlier when he’d seated the boy beside himself.
“No problem, sir. Please sign here.”
Evan accepted the portfolio and added an additional tip and his signature. He passed it back over before grabbing the end of the cart. He wheeled in the cart with their plates that were covered by silver domes.
Still on the bed, Nix was wiggling around, trying to sit up.
The boy would get better as he learned to maneuver without using his hands and arms. In the meantime, Evan got to take care of his boy in a way that would please both his human and dragon sides.
