I laugh listening as he tells me about the girl that he had to curve in the gym. “Me would’ affi deh pan molly fi entertain she when mi literally have wah gem,” his finger glides my skin. He was on a call briefly and for some reason it soared his mood. I don’t mind… I love it.
“So you curve har fi me?” I meet his eyes with the sweetest smile. I’m not even surprised.
“Yah,” he smirks. As he drives, I watch the moving houses and vehicles until I decide to find out a little more about him.
“What were you like at Kc?” I tilt my head and he looks at me briefly.
“Hmmm,” he hums, tugging at his beard. I turn a little in the seat, observinghim. I’m curious. Was he like Jordane? Like Mark? Or Jahmeel?
“I was bad, still bad,” he retorts.
“Oh yeah?” I smile. “Mi know you bad now but mi cya help it but wonder if it’s a case where you changed.”
He shakes his head no before he says, “Nickoi always was a nuisance.” I laugh along with him.
“Break it down to me, build an image and let me imagine,” I flutter my eyes shut and press my head against the headrest.
“Wah bout a picture?” he suggests.
“Just do what I say,” I press with my eyes close. Hey bwoy listen to Mami enuh! That crazy girl in my head exclaims. I’m happy he can’t hear her because she’s too embarrassing.
“Ah,” he says then the car comes to a stop. With my eyes still close, I focus on my breathing, getting myself ready for this brain exercise. Or may I say, getting ready to see through my mind’s eye?
“Ready?” he asks and I nod firmly.
“Ready,” I retort and feel the car accelerate on the paved road.
“So young Nickoi… mi nuh really look different now as in my physique. Mi did a rub, so mi did well white. Low cut, sharp fade. Regula school youth mi just never fit in KC uniform with such character and mi nah be negative a just the truth.”
I understand and I’m already picturing someone. I’m sure most people have at least one of these classmates. At least once in their life.
“What was your go to shoes?” I already have an idea of his answer.
“Clarks,” he answers, just as I expected. Desert to be exact.
“Desert?” I question and I can already hear the yes. I don’t know why rude pitney always love desert Clarks.
“Yeah, mi did have bank robber, Wallabee and Reebok, the Desert was always Monday.”
Imagine you own four school shoe in a school year. Due to how a one me did have for each school year. So I had to care it, regardless of my mother living in foreign.
“Oh so you was a hype bwoy? The one dem weh mi never like,” I say honestly. I couldn’t stand them, especially when them show off.
He laughs. “Mi nuh think you did like nobody.”
I smile. “I wasn’t that bad, I liked some people but based on your description you seem like Jordane. Or he’s like you. That’s the way he was at school.”
He chuckles.
“Always JanSport too though?” I assume and hear his laughter.
“But you know the things dem mon or yuh did know me, which one?”
“That night in the taxi was the first time I really saw you, the day at school I only saw your figure so that nuh really count,” I say answering his question.
“Ohh, first time me see you a yuh first day at the school, mi see you good,”his voice rough in all the right places.
“Yeah and you did a watch me,” I say before I get back to the first conversation.
“Wah bout yuh attitude, how was it?”
“Big ooman thing… a never the best,” he admits. He’s hesitating a bit, maybe worried I might judge him?
Lawd mi change now. Mi nuh so judgemental like one time.
“Mi nah judge you,” I promise.
“Ah so, mi barely used to in class mi spend more time in the principal’s office than I did in classrooms. Mi usually ask a nerd the topics, read up stuff at home and when mi do exam mi pass it.”
I’m impressed… bwoy smart.
Cya figet how him say him get 1 in a Maths enuh.
Yuh mad? That stuck in a my brain.
“Smart,” I smile and he chuckles.
“Always fighting and I was good in track and field, my attention was mostly there. The principal get nuff reason fi kick mi out of the school but we did role good, so him ignore the other staff requests and just give me advice and tell me say mi have nuff potential because my grades were high. The problem was that I was always getting in trouble.”
He was an intelligent gangster in school. That’s rare cause usually boys like him in high schools are dunce.
“Wah bout… gangs?” I inquire. I’m not judging but that’s the only thing missing from his description. Gangs. I’m seeing the young Nickoi clearly.
“Yah mi did have the gang a school, cas mi been the Don yuh zi mi, just that Junior would help since him older. Mi did mature as mi tell yuh mi never get the chance fi be a child. The principal feel say a just a school thing but him never know a real gang. Rick, Gutta and Keno were there too and some other man weh mi and them fall out now.” Wow.
I finally open my eyes and realize that we’re almost home.
“Bad man from long time,” I meet his stare. I hate how turned on that got me. God send help!
“Mhmm and mi feel like if mi did see you while yaw go St. Hugh’s the story would a be the same,” his confidence is unmatched.
“Maybe,” my cheeks are warm, I look away from his gaze.
“Wah would a mek it different?”
“Nothing just that I would probably tell you I can’t have boyfriends,” I joke.
His chuckle is literally the sexiest sound I’ve ever heard.
“That wouldn’t stop me, member yuh tell me couple times seh yuh have a man enuh and mi still try cas mi know yuh did a lie.”
“Really now?” I smile sweetly.
He nods. “Really now, cause me would a still find a way fi convince yuh all wen yuh say yuh cya have man. A that serious mi take you.”
I melt under his intense stare..“Okay sir,” I tuck my lips in my mouth, fighting my smile. Then I squeeze my thighs together and shift awkwardly in the seat. I feel his fingertips caressing my exposed skin.
“Calm down man, we just a talk,” his voice holds a tinge of egotism.
“Mi have a feeling yaw did a stush girl enuh especially when a mama grow yuh,”he reads me.
“I was,” I roll my eyes playfully.
“Yuh still would a fall fi the dutty boy, cas you would a still peak me interest and me would a look you and you would a push me away but because mi determine mi would a get you.” He bites his lip before he holds my chin.
I laugh out when he says that.
“And you still stush, you gimme a hard time though but in the end mi have you so I won,” he’s so cocky. He moves his hand up further and I start breathing heavily. I’m wearing a black biker tights that rolls up a bit. So easy him have yuh like idiot eeh?
I lick my lips, watching as he rubs me through the thin fabric. A finger slips in almost too quickly, dragging a sigh from me. We look up, our eyes spills with lust. I prop my leg up.
“You a the only woman weh ever reject me enuh and a that mek me did want you so much… the challenge, man did affi prove a point. But yuh make man sweat, affi give that to yuh, usually mi just snap.” He snaps his fingers before he laughs. “…and get gyal.” He’s so handsome and funny.
“Well, yuh did affi work fi this,” I brag and watch how quiet he gets, legs rocking.
He slowly pumps his finger, his right hand steering. I squirm, my glare on him. I knew I didn’t know him all my life but now that I do, I can’t imagine my life without him in it. He parks the car and we get out and my legs feel like jelly. When we get inside a note is on the table. I pick it up.
Mi call uno, couldn’t get you nor Zara phone. Mi deh up a yard a make Marsha braid mi hair. The babies dem good. Mi cook fish tea but mi mek some butter chicken fi Zara just incase.
I smile when I’m done reading before I dial her number. “Zara yuh see the note?” She doesn’t give me a chance to talk.
“Good evening and yessss I did, thanks for everything,” I see the butterchicken on the paper and don’t know how to act.
“Always mi baby,” she smiles.
“Me and Nickoi a go out so now me affi go get ready before it gets too late,”I tell her.
“As usual,” she giggles. “Enjoy unuh self.”
“Yeah.” I grin. I can see her friend smiling as she takes braid from her hand.
“Can I see my babies?” my voice sweet. She turns the camera on them playing on the porch.
My smile grows.
My heart.
“Kiss them for me,” I coo.
“I will, so weh the bwoy Nick?”
“He’s here,” I flip the camera on him. His on the sofa, that man spread is suh’m serious.
“Mommy.” His tone rumbles, rough edges easing as he speaks.
“Wah’m?” She’s happy.
“Mi want a spliff,” he drawls, pulling a laugh out of her.
“Manuel nuh link yuh?” She asks him.
He stretches. “Yah… mi have herbs mi just lazy fi build it, mi wish Zara could a dweet and build couple fimme.”
We laugh.
When I’m off the phone he gets up from the sofa. “You wah continue?”
“What?” I ask, feigning ignorance. He looks down before he meets my gaze.
“You wah continue?” he repeats. My yes might sound too ravenous. Betta yuh shut up.
“Member we affi leave early fi reach the place and I don’t do my makeup orfind a dress yet,” I really want to go on the date. It’s not even about thefood. I just want to go on a date with him, y’know and do what couples do.
“Ah,” he simply says and I climb up the stairs behind him. I’m only showering in the bathroom and I won’t allow temptation to get to me.
Who are you fooling?
As we reach the bathroom and face each other the sexual tension thickens. It worsens when he gets naked and I’m greeted by his rock hard erection. It’s definitely the definition of a ‘steel pipe.’
You’re staring sis..
I clear my throat when my eyes moves up to his.
He sinks his teeth in his lip.
“We just a go bathe?” he tugs at his beard with his head tilt back. I can feelmiss lady down there pooling. My clit jumps uncontrollably, making me cross my legs.
“Uh…” I don’t know. He steps forward and help me out of my clothes.
Throughout this, his eyes are fixed in mine. His fingertips gliding my skin. It feels like he’s setting my body on fire. I focus on my ragged breathing. Why is my heart racing like this?
