7. New York

New York
As soon as the concert was over, bodyguards rushed us to a limo. It was the largest limo I’d ever seen. Gage, Quinn, and Dylan had a few groupies tagging along. Nikki and Bella were part of the in-crowd too. The band jumped in, still amped up and sweaty from the concert.
Theo rested his head in my lap during the drive, catching his breath in between laughter and reminiscing about some amazing impromptu stunts the band pulled. I smoothed his hair with my hand, my pulse rising with every mile. We couldn’t keep our hands off each other. It was like no one else existed.
We were driven to a nearby luxury hotel for a small after-party. Nikki, Bella, and I arrived at the party and sat at the bar while the band members took a quick shower. Theo walked into the room and headed straight for me. His hands were all over me right away. Quinn and Gage noticed. “Why are you guys even here? Get a room already.” They seemed genuinely happy that Theo had seemed to find love again.
“You don’t have to tell me twice.” Theo breathed huskily as he pulled me away. I gave the girls a thumbs-up, and they returned it. It was our secret communication. Theo yanked me along as we ran down the hallway to his room, laughing and touching.
He fumbled with the door key, finally opened the door, and pushed me into the dark room. My arm swiped a lamp accidentally. “Oops,” I said, laughing. His lips were immediately on mine, needing me as much as I needed him. My hand fumbled for a light switch without any luck. Not waiting for a comfy spot, our bodies flew into the wall next, this time bumping into a large picture. It swayed back and forth, bumping into my shoulder.
“God, where is the damn light switch?” Theo swore in between kisses. He stumbled over a coffee table. “Ow, shit,” he exclaimed. “Where is the fucking bedroom?” I laughed, kissing him and grabbing his shorts, putting my hand on his bare ass and leading him in the direction I hoped I’d find a bed.
“Commando?” I asked, my breath heavy.
“Um, yeah, a little present for you.” He scrambled to pull my shirt over my head as we walked more cautiously, our eyes finally adjusting.
I stopped us for a moment. “Were you commando on stage tonight?”
“Hell yeah. Just thinking about what I was going to do to you after the concert was hot.” His breath was warm on my neck as he pulled down my miniskirt. “You should try it sometime.” He groaned as his hand went between my legs. It was too much. The sensation between my thighs burned with need.
Eagerly, Theo pushed me back onto the bed, but it was too rough, and as we both bounced on the mattress, we lost another lamp off the end table. “Fuck,” Theo groaned, and I wasn’t sure if it was because we broke another lamp or because of the parts of our bodies that were finally coming together for the first time.

I woke in the morning, naked, covered by an expensive white down comforter. Theo’s hand draped over my body. He was not dressed either, and the mere sight of his nakedness astonished me. My body started the familiar ache all over again. Just looking at him was enough to get me off.
Memories of last night came to mind. It was the hottest sex in the world, and it was with this beautiful and very talented man. And when I say talented, I’m not just talking about his musical abilities. He was making me sing all night long.
As I lay in Theo’s arms in the swanky hotel room, I remembered the limo ride and how we were all over each other. And then…all night, over and over, he took me higher and farther than I had ever been. Convulsing in each other’s arms, time after time after time. I had never… My mind drifted, and I had to wake Theo up. “Theo,” I whispered. Luckily, he didn’t seem to mind.
“Babe,” he murmured as his eyes opened. He rolled his large body on top of mine, and I lost my breath.
After we finished, he ordered room service. While we waited, we couldn’t help but go for round two.
Room service arrived, and we went out to the family room. It was a disaster. “Wait, what happened?” I asked. Theo just gave me a devilish smile. “No, we didn’t do this, did we?” I whispered guiltily. There was a broken lamp and a broken picture frame! “No wonder rock stars and hotel rooms get a bad rap.” I laughed.
After we dreamily ate our breakfast in bed, he had a plan. “Since you have never been to New York, I am going to show you all of my favorite sights. First on the list is our own private showing of Hamilton . Next is a picnic in the park.”
The whole day, Theo wore a beanie and sunglasses, trying to blend in with the crowds. He did a decent job, considering. But he basically commanded people to notice him just by standing there, so tall and fit and handsome. It was hard for everyone not to take a second look. Luckily, when they did take that second look, they were deceived just enough by his hat and sunglasses keeping them from recognizing that he’s the famous rock star that played last night at Madison Square Garden.
“Now for the one thing everyone has to see when they come to New York.” He guided me down the sidewalk towards the river, eventually stopping at a dock and a medium-sized boat. “A private boat ride and tour of the Statue of Liberty.” I was stunned!
Right before we pulled up to the island, Theo asked the captain, “Just how private is this tour?”
“As private as you would like, sir.” Theo handed him a hundred dollars. “I’ll watch the boat. The stairs to the top are through that door.” The captain pointed to a small door.
“Thanks.” Theo helped me out of the boat and ran, holding my hand as we booked it toward the door.
Laughing, I asked, “Do you always get what you want?”
“Not always, but yeah, usually.” He winked at me, a twinkle in his eye.
We had barely made it through the door, and at that last word, I was his and he was mine. Together, we fell to the stairs in a passion, not looking for comfort but just looking to be a part of one another. I had never made love on stairs before, but the stairs were able to give us a great angle, and I came twice before he finally let go himself. We were laughing and kissing, and by the end, we both had ridiculous smiles plastered on our faces.

I couldn’t wipe the grin off my face as I buttoned my jeans. Making Jane come twice like that felt incredible. Her body tightening and convulsing around mine was heaven on earth. I watched as she put her shirt back on her perfect model body and adjusted her clothing, not one bit ashamed. She worked out. “Come on, let’s do some sightseeing.” I grabbed for her hand again, anxious for our next adventure.
“You are all I want to see while in New York,” she giddily replied.
We made out on the top of the Statue of Liberty. I took a selfie of us and posted it to my Twitter account without thinking.
There was an energy when I was around her, the kind of energy I get at shows. Only more. It’s the most sexual energy I’ve ever experienced. “What is it about you?” I questioned.
“What is it about you?” she grilled back. “You’re oozing sexual energy right now.” She had read my mind.
We were speaking the same language, feeling the same vibrations. Crap. Vibrations. The word caused another dirty thought to shoot through my mind. God, all the things I wanted to do to this girl. If I retired right now and spent every day making love to her for the rest of my life, I still couldn’t get enough of her. “Shit, I know. Thank you for finally freeing up all my built-up passion.” I pulled her in tight.
“Trust me, I understand,” she assured me.
“It feels like I’ve been in prison the last few months.” I took a deep breath, releasing it to the universe. “Ever since the divorce, I’ve needed this, wanted this. I’m so glad you proposed to me in Colorado, Jane.” I licked my lips, unable to hide my feelings for her.
She laughed. “I hardly proposed. You know it was Bella’s sign. I was just holding it for her while she banged one of your groupies.”
I played hurt.
“Oh, now you’re an actor and a singer?” she teased. “Theo, I needed this too.” She sighed as her green eyes gazed into my soul. “After losing Mike, I thought I might never heal or find love again.” She was so intense; this connection was so intense. Both of us wondered if we could ever love again. We could.
I held her tightly, the spectacular sunset and view of New York city in the background then my vision narrowed to Jane alone. I only had eyes for her. “Jane,” I whispered.
“Yes, Theo?”
“I love you.”
“Theo?” she whispered back.
“Yes, Jane?”
“I love you too.”
Later that night, I was scheduled to do a late-night talk show. Everyone treated Jane and me like royalty. “I feel special following you around as you promote the band,” Jane whispered in my ear before I took the stage.
Of course, the host asked about the divorce. “So, are you moving on?” he questioned. “Now you can really live the rock star lifestyle. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll, right?” he teased with his big goofy smile. I looked directly at Jane sitting in the front row of the crowd and said, “Yeah, life is pretty great!”
When we got back to the hotel room that night, I hadn’t realized that my social media had blown up. My agent, Max, was waiting in the room for us, and he smiled as we walked in the door. “Having fun yet?” He grinned knowingly.
“Hey, Max, sorry.”
“No need to apologize. I’m just happy that you are happy.” He smiled at Jane. “Hi, I’m Max. Nice to meet you.” They shook hands, but Jane looked nervous. Max knew how I felt about Jane; most of my colleges knew. “No need to worry, honey. This is new territory for all of us. The divorce is final. No need to hide. We just need to remember that we aren’t the average Joe posting pictures of our new girlfriend.”
“Gotcha.” Point taken. “I was sort of caught up in the moment.” I smirked at Jane who had a beautiful blush washing across her cheeks.
“You kids have fun. We will talk about how to control the media on this once things settle.”
“Bye, Max.” I smirked at the hassle I had probably caused him with a single selfie.
“Nice to meet you,” Jane squeaked out before he disappeared.
Now I knew what the host had been alluding to, why he was so curious. I hadn’t realized it earlier; everyone had just seen my Twitter post of Jane and me, then possibly saw us on the late-night show together a few hours later.
I had simply posted a picture, no words to even go with it. It’s not like I told them I was in love with Jane. It was just a selfie of her and I on top of the Statue of Liberty. But it had apparently led to pandemonium. Wait? I was in love ? We had only admitted it to each other earlier today, and now people were going crazy to find out who my new girl was. “God, people have too much time on their hands nowadays,” I murmured. I was quickly distracted by Jane’s beautifully concerned lips. I was drawn to them. I pulled her close, needing to taste them.
Because of the chaos, we were forced to stay in the hotel room the next day. Too bad. Fortunately, we found something else to do. We explored one another to the very depths. She repeatedly drove me wild.
I ordered a special gift for her to be delivered to the hotel room. When it arrived, she blushed. Let’s just say I had a new hobby, and it involved making Jane scream my name nonstop. For about one second, I worried if my new hobby would interfere with my music. I concluded that thought with… who the fuck cares ? I sure as hell didn’t as I made her scream my name again.
