Chapter 14 Betrayal
I was angry no angry was an understatement but my mother taught me not to take out my anger on people even if it's the person you're mad at.
"What do you want?"Venus snapped at Christopher making my train of thoughts stop.
He looked at me with pure kindness and at any time that would have made me swoon but all I could do was glare at him intensely.
"I'm sorry Venus.You could have everything if you want. I don't care anymore."He exclaimed clasping his hands together.
She shook her head looking at him,"I want your bitch of a wife to apologize."She stated, folding her arms.
He looked at her in confusion,"What.....why?"He asked, furrowing his eyes brows.
She gasped,"Don't play dumb with me!You know exactly why she needs to apologize."She exclaimed, glaring in Christopher's direction."I know nothing as stupid as that would escape your mouth without someone behind it."
Personally, I was surprised how was she so sure it wasn't his ass that's being plain old stupid.
"You have known Anna longer than I have, she's not going to apologize in any shape or form.She was made like that." He claimed, running his hands through his silky brown locks.
"You mean she was made a bitch."She scowled, placing her hand on her forehead.
He chuckled,"Yeah something like that."
She stood up,"Fine I forgive you but one more stunt like that and your ass is not related to me."She threatened, pointing her finger at him and then leaving.
He suddenly turned towards me and I saw this as my queue to leave.
"What the fuck Gina where the hell are you going?"He yelled, walking after me."Tell me what's wrong?"He ordered, stepping in front of me so I wouldn't escape him.
"Nothing,"I claimed, putting on a fake smile and he shook his head.
"Hey, man Christopher we haven't seen each other in so long." Drew his best friend exclaimed and I quickly took this as my escape but stopped when I saw Annabelle making out with Justin the Angelopoulos's family lawyers son.
I couldn't help but overhear what they were saying.
"I need you, Justin."She begged, placing kisses against his jawline.
"You promised you would be mine after you got what you wanted from that dumb ass."He claimed, pouting like a little kid who didn't get the ice cream flavor he wanted.
"I am your's baby, just a little patience and I promise you will have all a whole fortune to live off of."She cooed cupping his cheek softly.
He shook his head,"How much do you have so far?"
She smirked wider than Chucky himself right before a murder," Three hundred and fifty million dollars so far after my idiot of a husband claims whats his the money will double, then comes the divorce and finally my family's Will which leaves us at two billion dollars."She took a sharp intake." That should be enough for us to start a life far far away from New York."I couldn't help but feel sick I wanted to unhear every word, not for my sake but for Chris's.I know he would be heartbroken.
Justin smirked pinning her against the wall and I backed away slowly only to feel my heart pick up a pace when his breath hit my neck.I knew it was Chris by the smell of his own signature Dolce and Gabbana cologne yet I turned slowly hoping that for once I was wrong and to my dismay, I came face to face with him but there wasn't any emotion displayed on his face its as if he knew or had a feeling.
"Um, Chris maybe she has an explanation for what she's doing maybe we misheard or something," I stressed because for some reason I felt it was my fault we were standing here in the first place so it's my fault their marriage might end.
He turned away walking straight to the bar as I followed along with him.
He sat on a stool and I took a seat right next to him.
"Double shot of bourbon and ice tea without any alcohol for my girl overhear."He stated with a smirk on his face if it wasn't for the condition we were in I would have jumped for joy at his statement but I knew it wasn't the time nor place."We didn't hear wrong."He whispered, looking at me with his beautiful aqua blue eyes."I kind of suspected it from the beginning when she threatened to tell everyone that I took her virginity before marriage that she was after the money I just didn't have evidence to prove anything but now I do."He forced a smile as I shook my head.
"Well did you?"I asked just, out of curiosity.
He chuckled,"No." This for some odd reason sent a sense of relief over my body.
"So she was lying?"I coaxed, as the man handed us our drinks.
He downed the drink and ordered another"Is'nt she always."I frowned taking a sip of my ice tea.
I knew it was a stupid question to ask and I probably shouldn't have but I was eager to know.
"Did you love her?"He looked pained for a minute but then shook his head.
"No, but when I first met her two years ago I thought I felt something towards her but it was all demolished as I got to know her.Everything she did made me want to distance myself more and more and when I finally realized I don't want anything to do with a selfish bitch like her it was too late."He downed another cup and then motioned for another.
"So what are you going to do?"I asked, and his eyes brighten as if he just got a new idea.
He smiled, bending his head closer to mine as my heart beated louder and louder each second he got closer and his lips finally crashed into mine causing tingles to erupt within me.Apart from me was telling me how wrong this was yet the other side didn't care and was quick to respond to this kiss.
We were about a minute into a heated make-out session until something in me finally snapped.
As much as I didn't want to do this I pulled away.
"Chris no we can't do this your married and as much as I dislike your wife as a person no one deserves to be cheated on even though she did it before.Two wrongs don't make a right."I rambled and he shook his head giving me an amused look.
"Mark my words Gina Willis I will make you mine."

I glanced at my watch for what seemed like the millionth time.I quickly skimmed the document for the second time that day and signed off before grabbing my suit jacket and heading for the door but right when I was about to open it the door opened revealing Noami.
"Hello, darling.Did you miss me?"She asked, wrapping her long arms around my neck.
