Epilogue
"Anna don't do that," I scolded her for the nth time as I pulled her away from a sleeping Angelo.
"But mommy the baby is cold," She whined, folding her arms over chest.
I rolled my eyes at her. Angelo has been in her life for eight whole months and she still insists on referring to him as the baby. Not my brother or Angelo but the baby.
"Just because he's cold it doesn't mean you should place the blanket on top of his head, Anna. You could suffocate him," I replied while kneeling down and looking into her brown eyes.
She nodded."Mommy, what does suffo....cate mean?"
I chuckled softly before getting back up." It means he could die from lack of air."
Her eyes widened before she quickly ran to Angelo's side and tapped him lightly on the head while saying." I'm sorry, baby."
"What are you sorry for, angel?"Antonio asked walking in through the doorway with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
Her gaze shifted from Angelo to the ground while saying."I put a blanket on the baby's head."
Antonio chuckled as he bent down and kissed Anna's forehead."Anna you know the consequences are very bad, yes?" He asked placing his finger on her chin so she would look at him.
"I know," She replied firmly this time matching Antonio's gaze.
He ruffled her brown hair before getting back up and handing me the flowers, a warm smile on his face."Congratulations on signing Roman Dontell."
"Thank you," I replied and then gave him a peck on the cheek."But um how did you hear about this?"
He rolled his eyes."The minute you signed him he called me personally to let me know."His jaw clenched and unclenched."If he wasn't Gina's half brother I would have kicked his a-"
"Antonio." I glared at him motioning at the kids.
He ran his hand through his hair."Anna is watching t.v and Angelo and Jayden are sleeping so we are in the clear."He smirked pulling me firmly into his hold.
"Gina will kill me if Jayden's first words are -"
"Come on you got to admit though there isn't a better word that describes him, Venus," He scoffed, his grip on my waist getting tighter."He likes you I can feel it. Why else would he leave the U.K where he was living the dream to come to move to New York."
I shook my head at his childish behavior."I don't know because his only sister lives here in New York."
"Oh, please that didn't get him to settle down here before," He shot back while rolling his eyes.
"Ok, fine he likes me and confessed he wants to do me on the conference room table," I said sarcastically as he sent a soul crunching glare my way.
"That's not helping, at all now all I can think about is you and him doing God knows what-"He cut himself off as his eyes darkened." Just the thought makes me want to behead him...no no no castrate him that way his filthy hands will never ever touch you."
"Who are you going to castrate, now Antonio?"Gina asked while grabbing Jayden from his playpen and placing him in his car seat.
"Your brother," He said, bluntly.
I slapped his shoulder lightly while glaring at him but he just shrugged it off."Antonio here is convinced that your brother likes me."
She chuckled lightly."If it makes you feel any better , Antonio he flirts with all women and is a little touchy too."
A sarcastic chuckle left Antonio's lips." Oh, that's really reassuring. I thank you for your unhelpful commentary, "He hissed glaring at Gina and then at me.
"So how's Chris?" I asked trying to change the subject.
She sighed."He's doing fine. Very busy lately but fine," She replied giving a half smile.
"That's good so when are you going to come over I haven't seen Brandon in a while because he's always busy with school."
Brandon was Christopher and Gina's adoptive son. They found him on the street outside a small pharmacy one night two years ago while coming from a charity event. At the orphanage, the head coordinator was always verbally and physically abusing Brandon so he ran away at the tender age of seven.
Her eyes sparkled as she spoke, "Yes, he always has his head stuck in a book. He never takes a break. I have to hide the books away from him just so he can get out of the house for a couple of hours."She laughed."Were actually going out to dinner as a family for the first time in months and I don't want to be late so i'll see you tomorrow."She waved and then exited the door with Jaden in her hands.
Antonio's eyes widened as he spoke."Have you noticed something odd?"His whole figure tensed as he ran to the living room.
I ran after him."Whats wrong?"
He sighed when he saw that Anna was sleeping on the sofa with her blanky."You know when we haven't heard from Anna for thirty minutes usually it's a very very bad sign, "He chuckled turning off the tv and then facing to look at me.
I rolled my eyes."Well theres a difference between those times and this time, "I told him as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"And what's that?"He winked a smirk forming on his face.
"Well the obvious reason, of course, is that she is older, now. Don't forget she just turned four a couple of months ago. Another reason could be is that she just started school or Angelos presence in her life made her as responsible as a four year old can be." His smirk deepened when I mentioned Angelo. My eyes widened when I realized what he was thinking."Oh no no no I know that look and I know it well. We are not having a another one Antonio at least not for a couple of years,"I whined.
His smirk grew even wider."I don't know what your talking about? I didn't say anything about having another child."His brown orbs grew a few shades darker as he spoke,"But if it's you who wants another one I can only impose,"He chuckled while leaning down to place a kiss on my neck.
"Antonio..... I'm be...ing serious, "I moaned while running my hands through his hair.
I could feel his smirk forming."I promise after the fifth one-"
My eyes widened."You want me to go through that again three more times?"I asked my voice becoming louder with each word I spoke.
He chuckled while looking at me."Well you know if we do things right it could only be two times, "He stated a matter factly.
I rolled my eyes."And what are the chances?"
He smirked."We'll never know unless we try."I couldn't help but chuckle.
I sighed."This better work or your gonna-"
"I'm very confident in performing abilities."He winked at me and I couldn't help but blush.
I bit my lip slighly."Okay."
"Really?"He asked surprised.
I nodded."Really. Now shut up and kiss me, "I demanded and Antonio instantly complied by placing his lips against mine.
