Chapter 13

Kilian
It was a wonderfully sunny day, not too hot for early June. I strolled alongside Dominic through the botanical garden park, savoring every breath I took next to him.
I had no idea what was going on with me, but the more I got to know Dominic, the more I craved to know everything about him.
I felt like peeling him like an onion, digging through each layer to get to the heart of who he was.
Countless questions raced through my mind, but I did my best to hold back my urge to talk too much.
I usually wasn’t someone who tried to make a good impression.
I didn’t care what people thought of me.
The fact that Hector was already in his forties even had a calming effect on me.
He exuded the calm of a father, reminding me of my own.
My dad had always encouraged me to just be myself.
While that didn’t necessarily make my childhood easier, it also didn’t shake my confidence.
“You work in theater too?” Hector asked, clearly interested as we all walked along the wide path—Dominic and Nico on the outside, Hector and I in the middle.
“Yeah, I’m responsible for the stage lighting.”
“Ha! He’s the youngest department head the lighting department has ever had,” Dominic said, nudging me with his shoulder. “And now he’s being so modest.”
“Your light show in the gallery was amazing,” Nico added. “I didn’t know something like that was even possible. You totally took me on a trip.”
“I’m glad you liked it.”
“I’m working on finishing a play,” Nico continued. “And Hector’s roommate, Luca …”
“My subletter,” Hector corrected him with a smile.
“Sorry, his subletter,” Nico grinned and reached for Hector’s hand. “Anyway, he just graduated from film school. When we started discussing my play, he suddenly had all these crazy ideas about how we could incorporate video into it.”
“Collaboration between video and lighting is exciting and a really cool challenge. Let me know if you want to take it further.”
“Just like that?” Dominic turned to me, widening his eyes in surprise. “My roommate’s talking about an unfinished play and some video clips, and you’re already on board?”
“It’s my thing,” I said and shrugged. “I’m always open to new projects.”
“You just finished a 60-hour workweek. How are you going to juggle all of this?”
“I always find time,” I teased.
Dominic rolled his eyes and grinned. I was taken aback by how easygoing he was.
In my presence, especially at the theater, he always seemed so strict with himself.
Nico was obviously his trusted confidant, as I could practically see the tension melt away from Dominic when we met at the entrance gate.
While I continued chatting with Nico about the theater and potential performance spaces, Dominic and Hector soon walked ahead of us, and I overheard Dominic asking him about his upcoming divorce.
He’s clearly close to them, I thought absently as I stared at Dominic from behind.
He was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday. I’d suggested we stop by his place on the way here, but he insisted it wasn’t necessary.
“I have to stop by my place anyway before my shift and take care of a few things,” he’d said.
Something told me the idea of me snooping around his apartment made him uncomfortable—for some reason.
“He likes you,” Nico said next to me.
“Hmm …” I murmured, because the situation between Dominic and me was hard to put into words. Maybe I should just overlook his intentions and try to bring out this other side of him—the one who had blown me in the control room. Just thinking about it made my dick twitch.
“He’s been through some tough months,” Nico said in a reassuring voice—probably only because Dominic and Hector were deep in conversation.
“I’m aware,” I replied quietly. “About that situation.”
“Oh.” Nico studied me with a scrutinizing look, as if trying to figure out exactly what I knew.
“That he can’t get it up,” I said nonchalantly.
Nico nodded, though still suspicious. “He acts like it’s no big deal, like it doesn’t bother him, but it does.”
“Is this the best friend’s speech warning me to stay away from him?”
“Not at all. Quite the opposite. If you’re okay with it, I’m sure it’ll help his situation in the long run—at least, that’s what I’ve read somewhere.
Whether it’s true or not is up for debate.
” Nico’s smile appeared a bit forced. “No, seriously,” he continued.
“He does everything for the people he cares about. There aren’t many, but those who earn a place in his heart should appreciate it.
Dominic doesn’t even realize how selfless he is.
He helped me when I needed it, and I’ll be forever grateful for that. ”
“Let’s head to the café,” Hector suggested as he glanced back, pointing toward the terrace.
While Hector and Nico stepped inside to order something, Dominic and I sat down at the outdoor seating.
“You’re doing well,” Dominic said with a wink.
“Did you think I was going to mess it up?”
“No, you’re confident. But Nico can be a bit overprotective sometimes.”
“I noticed.”
“Oh no.”
“No big deal.” I leaned forward and took his hand in mine. “Looks like I passed the test.”
For a moment, Dominic gazed at me, then drifted his attention to my hand. “I … I don’t want you to get the wrong idea.” He let out a shaky breath as he nervously searched for the right words to say.
“Wasn’t that the big moment when you introduced me as your new boyfriend?”
Dominic snatched his hand back and hid it under the table. “Sorry if I gave the wrong signals …”
I burst out laughing. “It was a joke! Lighten up!”
“God, Kil, you really don’t make it easy.”
“I like it when you call me that.” I reclined in my chair, satisfied, and interlocked my hands behind my head. “So? How long have those two been together?”
“I’d say … officially … about a month?”
“They’re cute.”
“Yeah. I’m also getting along better with Corvo.”
“Corvo?”
“That’s his poker name.”
“You play poker?”
“Every now and then. Do you like poker?”
“What do you think?” I teased.
“I bet you like to play but hate losing. You’re not very good at keeping a poker face.”
“Your powers of observation are amazing. And what was your poker name?”
“Mick Jagger,” he replied with an incredibly sweet smile that turned a few switches in my head.
Feeling a bit intimidated under my gaze, he cleared his throat. “They take forever, though,” he said casually.
“Believe me,” I whispered. “We’re going to need more time.”
Our eyes locked, and Dominic swallowed hard, his Adam’s apple bobbing. That’s how I liked him—seeing the desire flicker in his eyes and watching his body tense up, trying to hide just how badly he wanted me.
At that moment, Nico and Hector joined us outside at the table, each with a coffee. “The drink selection is huge,” Nico said, ripping open a sugar packet.
Only then did Dominic manage to tear his eyes away from me. He cleared his throat again and got up from his chair. “Then let’s go and see the menu.”
I followed Dominic inside the café. But when he headed toward the counter, I grabbed him by the upper arm and guided him to the restroom.
“Kil,” he hissed, but made no attempt to break free of my grip.
I knew it. He enjoyed being dominated by me.
Oh, and I’m going to push his limits so hard.
I ushered Dominic past the women’s and men’s restrooms and into the accessible one, which offered more space. Once inside, I locked the door behind us.
“What’s this about?”
“You have no idea how much it turns me on to see you fighting your arousal,” I said, taking a step closer.
“I’m not aroused,” he declared, wanting me to believe otherwise.
“You don’t need a bulge in your pants for that. I can see it in your eyes.”
“Kil, please, let’s go back out. You know my resolution.”
With my hand on his chest, I guided him backwards until his back was against the wall. “I never said I supported you in this,” I whispered into his lips. “You picked the wrong person. And I’ve been thinking …”
His breath caught on my lips and his eyes widened. “About what?”
“You can’t get it up, but it’s so clear that you feel like it. That’s why I think we should give it a try.”
“What try? Seems like you skipped something important.”
“The back door,” I said, twitching an eyebrow.
His Adam’s apple throbbed again so I started to caress it. Dominic even stretched his neck for me and let out a strained moan.
“Do you like the back door?” I asked between two kisses.
“I … er … I’m top.”
“Then that’s a yes.”
“Kil!”
“Unless you were … well, I don’t want to offend you. But if you’ve suffered something like a childhood trauma, then of course I’ll hold back.” I brushed my lips over his and looked Dominic straight in the eyes. “Have you suffered a trauma?”
“No, but …”
I quickly pressed my lips to his and stopped him from saying any more unnecessary words.
Instead, I gained access to his mouth and entangled his tongue in a wild dance.
I rubbed myself even harder against his body and devoured everything I could get from him.
His initial resistance gradually subsided and his hands slid over my flanks and even further down.
When he dug his claws into my ass cheeks and pressed my pelvis even tighter against him, I knew the other Dominic had awakened.
“You like forbidden things,” I said, breathing between kisses and trailing my fingers under his shirt. His warm skin sent a tingling sensation over my body, and I was about to lose myself completely. “I just can’t get enough of you, babe.”
“You are my downfall,” Dominic replied breathlessly.
“Oh fuck, I’ll make sure you melt with desire and break into a thousand pieces. You like it hard, baby. Then you’ll get it hard.”
“But not here.”
I felt his chest rise and fall heavily, but the wild Dominic had disappeared.
How did he do that?
“Why not?” I asked.
“This is a shitty toilet. That’s not who we are.”
A grin spread across my face. “You referred to us as “we.” I like that, babe.”
Dominic rolled his eyes. “Don’t make a big deal out of it.”
“Yes! We’re making progress. Just …” I thrusted my pelvis forward and rubbed my hard-on against his thigh. “What do I do with it now?”
Dominic couldn’t suppress his laughter. “You’ll be fine.”
“You’re just leaving me hanging?”
“You already jerked off this morning,” he reminded me, moving me away.
“That was different. You ruined my orgasm. Remember? Now I want to cum on you, because by the looks of things, you’re not about to burst into tears.”
“I’m sorry.” Dominic got up and walked to the sink. “Without me.”
“Does Nico know about your naughty side?”
The way his neck stiffened told me he hadn’t been prepared for such a question. He glared at me through the mirror.
“I mean … There’s the prudish and proper side, the spoilsport, so to speak, who wants to be a monk—Dr. Jekyll—and that beast inside you that, once turned on, is almost unstoppable.
” I approached him from behind and wrapped my arms around his middle.
Pressing my hard-on against his ass, I nibbled on his neck.
“Fuck! You have no idea how damn hot you are, Mr. Hyde.”
“The back door, eh?”
Surprised, I raised my head and caught his gaze in the mirror. “You won’t regret this,” I whispered next to his ear.
I couldn’t possibly interpret his look. I wasn’t even sure who was standing in front of me. Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde? Dominic appeared torn. The monk in him was probably cursing him for his weakness, while the animal was already dancing for joy.
“Oh baby, I’ll make sure it’s really forbidden. Only for you.”
“Please don’t,” he joked and turned on the water.
“Why are you washing your hands?” I asked, resting my chin on his shoulder with my arms still wrapped around his waist.
“Just like that,” he answered curtly, running his wet hands through his unruly hair.
“Ah, that’s why,” I commented, imagining him standing topless on the beach.
“Let’s go out again.”
“Do I have to let go of you for that?”
“Yep.”
“But I don’t want to. You’re so warm.”
“Your cock seems to be just as flaccid as mine, so it’s okay if you let go of me.”
“Hello!” I called out, waving my hands in surprise. “Where did that phrase come from all of a sudden?”
Dominic shook his head in disbelief. “God, I’m becoming like you.” Then he walked past me and opened the door. “Are you coming?”
With a broad grin, we headed back to the counter. “You’ve got it in you, babe. Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde, and a little da Silva.”
“Don’t call me babe.”
“Okay, baby.”
“Kil.”
Before we ordered, we reviewed the large drinks menu that hung above the coffee machine.
“Call me Kilian,” I said, without looking away. “Otherwise I’ll drag you back to the bathroom right away.”
Dominic grinned and approached the counter to place his order. I never got tired of looking at him from behind. And, God, what was it about the guy that turned me on so much? I had a difficult time keeping my hands off him.
The fact that he had considered my suggestion didn’t make my situation any easier. I could literally feel the greed growing inside me and the desire was almost impossible to control.
I’m going to give it to you, I thought as he peered over his shoulder and raised his eyebrows.
“I’ll buy you something” he asked. “What do you want?”
You.
“An espresso.”
