Chapter 47
CHAPTER FORTY-SEVEN
KNOX
After everybody leaves, Raven and Bianca walk us out to the guesthouse. It’s dark, but there are lights in the yard illuminating a walking path and an expansive rose garden.
Heather places her hand over her chest and gasps in awe.
“So beautiful.”
Bianca rubs her large belly and turns to Heather with a smile.
“Feel free to come out here in the daylight. We want you to be comfortable here. There’s even a table in the garden if you want to eat out here.”
Taking my hand, her eyes meet mine, her gaze hopeful, as if she needs to beg me to go with her. This woman has me wrapped around her finger, and whatever she wants is hers. I don’t think she has figured it out yet, but she owns all three of us—body, mind, heart, and soul.
Heather stares at Raven as we step inside the guesthouse, her eyes questioning as she chews on her bottom lip, deciding whether she should ask her burning question or keep it to herself. I love this about her: that I can read her as well as my brothers.
“Raven, are you in the mafia?” She eventually blurts out. His lips lift into a smirk as he holds Bianca close to him, as if when he lets go she might disappear. It’s familiar.
“Yes. We are a mafia family.”
I remember Heather asking me before if we were mafia, and I said we weren’t and had no connection to these men. I truly believed that because our mother told us our father was the last Bonetti. We had no reason to believe otherwise—until now.
Holding her hands up, she grins back at him, her demeanor playful and fucking adorable.
“Please don’t make me swim with the fish. I wouldn’t look good in concrete, and I’m rather fond of my skin.”
Bianca laughs and pulls her into a warm hug, her belly getting in the way.
“I missed you so much, Heather.”
When they pull apart, she places her hand on her friend's stomach and looks at her with so much emotion. I’m not sure if it’s sadness that her friend is having a child when she never will, or if she’s simply happy for them until she speaks.
“I’m so happy for you. After everything you endured, you deserve this and you’re going to be such an amazing mom.”
Raven clears his throat, appearing uncomfortable with the emotional moment.
“You have everything you’ll need here, but please feel welcome to the main house. Bianca would love for you to join us for breakfast.”
After they leave, all three of us surround her, not touching her but close enough that we could.
“Clothing off, Little Heathen.”
She tilts her head defiantly and says, “Make me.”
A growl erupts from Killian's throat as we all step forward, and she moves back, her gaze taunting and sure.
“If you want me, catch me.”
I run my tongue over my lower lip, stepping closer to her and she backs away again, making me want her more.
“Tesoro.”
She stands in front of us, fucking delectable, a playful smile on her lips as she runs her fingers under the hemline of her skirt, lifting it to show off her thigh.
Taunting us, she lifts it further until we get a glimpse of her panties, making all three of us feral for her. Then she turns around and runs.
