Chapter 3 #2

“We need anything. We know. Enjoy your night.” She nodded as I continued toward the door.

I was dead ass exhausted, but I wasn’t going to get sleep.

Instead, tonight I’d sit up and obsess about the night I allowed myself to have with Savior.

I didn’t mean to sleep with him, but he caught me at a weak moment, and it was what it was.

I made sure not to see him since, though.

Even though we lived in the same building, I purposely took the stairs every day, and I made sure to be quick whenever I was coming or going.

Lane said I was being ridiculous, but in that day and age, I was being rational.

Once I reached the parking lot, I clicked the automatic start on my key fob, but I didn’t hear my car.

My eyes immediately zoomed in on the empty space where I know I parked it that morning.

I blinked a few times in disbelief before fishing my phone from my purse.

I couldn’t figure out how the hell somebody had stolen my car from this crowded ass parking lot.

The more I stood there and thought about it, the angrier I got.

“You looking for something, shorty?” His voice made me pause and sent a shiver down my spine.

I turned around, and Savior was leaned against the open door of his truck. He wore a knowing smirk. It was one of those smirks like he had some slick shit on his mind.

“You good, mama?” he asked after I didn’t respond to him.

“My car wa—”

“It was parked on private property.” He crossed his arms as his eyes traveled my physique. I knew I looked like shit, but I didn’t give a damn, because I was beyond pissed off.

“Where is my car?” I walked toward him with a mug.

He chuckled. “That ain’t how you greet nobody.”

I shook my head and crossed my arms. “My c—”

He stood up straight, stepping into my space, temporarily rendering me speechless. Then he looked down into my eyes with a serious expression. “Get in the car.”

I threw my head back and looked from him to the waiting back seat. “No.”

“I didn’t ask you. I told you. Now get yo’ tough ass in the car, Regancy.”

He received no response from me, so what happened next caught me by total surprise. He leaned down and picked me up. Then he tossed me into his back seat as if I were a fucking feather.

Once we were in and he was seated next to me, he fixed his tie and tapped on the seat. In seconds, the car was moving, and he was focused on me. “Difficult ass.” He shifted his attention out of the window.

I cut my eyes in his direction after I sat up. I couldn’t say it didn’t feel good to have his hands on me, but I was curious and pissed. “Where is my car, Savior?”

“Parked. Be lucky I didn’t have that motherfucker impounded.” He cut his eyes in my direction.

“How can you have my car towed off my property? This shit is unbelievable.” I looked out of the window at the expressway while whoever was in the front drove.

“I told you I own this city. I don’t know why you refuse to hear me. I’m starting to believe yo’ ass needs a hearing test.”

“Where are you taking me? To a shallow grave? At least let me call and tell my daughter I love her.” I glanced over at him.

“Ain’t nobody finna kill yo’ ass. Speaking of, is lil’ mama’s pops in her life?”

“Why?” I questioned.

“Because I asked.” He turned and faced me.

I swallowed hard and answered his question. “Kale doesn’t have a father.” I glanced out of the window.

He nodded. “Didn’t end well? Divorce or—” He definitely wanted to know too much, but I was an open book, so I had no problem answering his questions. For some reason, I felt compelled to talk to the callous ass man.

“Nah. Kale is a product of rape.” The moment those words left my lips, I could feel his eyes on me. That was the usual response I got from people when they were nosy and kept asking questions about how I had a baby at seventeen. “Shit happens, and I don’t believe in abortion.”

“I didn—” He started to speak.

“It’s cool. I made peace with it the day she was born.” That was true. Looking at her for the first time the day she was born eased the turmoil that I had in me.

For the rest of the ride, we sat in silence while the local station played all of the jams. I got so caught up in the ride that didn’t realize that we’d pulled up to a boat dock until I felt the car coming to a stop. Then I looked out, and all I saw was open water.

“Where are we?” I asked. That was probably a dumb question, but I had to ask, hoping he’d lend some clarity as to why we were here.

“Just get out of the car, stubborn ass woman.” At the same time, the doors opened, and he climbed out of his side.

I sat there for a moment, debating with myself before I decided to just see what was going on. I climbed out of the car and stood there until he came around, and I felt his hand at the small of my back leading me toward the dock. I really wanted to know what the hell was going on.

“All I’ve ever known in this world is my paper, but it’s something to yo’ lil’ tough ass.

So gimme the chance to fuck this lil’ infatuation out of my system.

With that being said, I’m tryna fuck on you from now until this boat docks in Bois Blanc sometime tomorrow.

I’ll make sure you enjoy yo’self. I’on want shit serious.

All I’m asking for is this weekend. Can you gimme that? ”

I didn’t even know what to say. I mean, I was stuck because he was so honest that I couldn’t do anything but respect it.

Shocking myself, I nodded and allowed that brutally honest nigga to lead me onto his big ass two-story boat.

At that point, I was way past intrigued.

The moment I stepped on, I was literally in awe.

I mean, the thing was beautiful. He led me out onto the deck, where a single table and two chairs were set up for us.

“You hungry?” he questioned.

“No.” I walked out of his space and found myself at the balcony, overlooking the water and the sky. My phone started to ring, and I already knew it was my baby. She never went to sleep without talking to me, even though that was the third weekend in a row that she’d ditched me.

I answered the FaceTime request, smiling in the camera at my princess. “Good night, Kale.”

“Mommy, where are you?” she asked, attempting to be nosy.

“Out. What’s wrong?” I questioned.

“Nothing. I love you.” She smiled sheepishly into the camera. I could hear the sleepiness in her voice.

That brought a smile to my face. “I love you too. Now get some sleep.” Once we finished talking and she hung up, I slipped my phone into my back pocket and continued to look out at the water.

It was beautiful while the sun was attempting to set.

That was one of those views that definitely put you in a mental euphoria.

“Beautiful, ain’t it?” he questioned from behind me.

“Very.” I turned around, and he was walking toward me with two drinks. I took the drink from him and looked him over. He looked much more comfortable than he did earlier. “Do you do this sort of thing often?” I found myself asking, I guess my nosiness got the best of me.

He laughed and turned his face toward mine. “Nah. I don’t much like people in my space.” That was hard to believe, considering the fact that he was all in mine.

I nodded and looked away from him back toward the water, but I could still feel his eyes on me.

“Why do you always stare at me for so long like you have some deep ass question to ask?” I didn’t bother looking in his direction for an answer until I realized that he was quiet for too long.

When I finally did look at him, he was looking at me like I was a meal.

He had his teeth buried in his bottom lip.

“I just like looking at yo’ face, even though it pisses me off that yo’ smart ass mouth is attached to it.”

I set the glass of brown liquor down before just looking at him. Again, I didn’t know what to say, but that time, I didn’t have to, because before I could even form a smart remark. His lips had covered mine. See? This is what I meant about the space thing.

When he pulled back, he looked from my lips to my eyes before a smirk formed on his face.

“Maybe I do fancy your smart-ass mouth.” He tossed his drink back with ease before stepping in my space again.

That time, his hands found my hips and pulled me into him.

Within seconds, I was airborne, and he was carrying me off the deck of the boat.

Once he let me down, he fell back onto the bed and just peered at me. The way Savior looked at me had me wanting to be nasty. He had a way of looking at me that let me know he saw everything, and it had me hot.

“What you standing over there for?” he asked as he rested his head on his arms and just looked at me.

Instead of walking over and mounting him like I wanted to, I walked toward what I assumed was the washroom, and I turned the shower on.

I stripped from everything I was wearing and hopped in.

He finally got the hint, and before I knew it, I felt his hand on my side as he turned me around before his hand went to my neck.

I was never one for that choking shit, but his hands around my neck gave me touch courage.

In a swift movement, I was in his arms, and my legs were wrapped around his back.

No words needed to be spoken because actions were the only things permitted. He wanted to feel me just like I wanted to feel him. The moment I felt him at my opening, the familiarity of his touch seeped into my pores, and I buried my face in his neck.

“Don’t hide, Reg.” He taunted as soon as he pushed himself inside of me.
