Chapter 22
Movement beside me alerts me that Zakai is awake. My leg is thrown over his, and his arm that’s around my waist makes circles along my abs.
“Good morning,” Zakai says in a tense from nonuse overnight.
Well, morning I should say, since we went multiple rounds last night, before drifting to sleep around three this morning.
“Morning.” My voice is but a whisper that signals overuse from our rendezvous.
“Any regrets?” is the question that’s been plaguing my mind since I cracked my eyes twenty minutes ago.
“The only thing I regret is letting you withhold that fire ass pussy for so long. I was almost at the point of going back to the days when I realized how many strokes it would take to bust a nut when I was thirteen.”
A hoarse and raw burst of laughter escapes my mouth as I cover it so my morning breath doesn’t kill the vibes.
“You’re laughing, and I’m serious as a heart attack. My dick was ready to leave my body to plead on our behalf.” The smirk on Zakai’s lips colliding with the merriment in his eyes causes a flutter in my stomach.
My laughter doesn’t slow as my hand cups my mouth, and Zakai joins in with a low chuckle.
For the first time in an undetermined amount of time, I feel light and free.
I have spent so much time in a fog of depression and melancholy that I didn’t realize how much I need this.
Before I can stop myself, an embarrassing snort escapes my mouth, and Zakai’s laughter increases.
“Whoa. That’s wild. Let me find out you’re related to Miss Piggy.”
Oh my God!
I close my eyes to somewhat hide from the entertainment Zakai has at my expense. If I could retract that snort, I would in a heartbeat.
“Don’t hide now. Your animal tendencies are already out there now.” Zakai tickles my side, and I pop my eyes open as I laugh again.
Only this time, I try my best to keep from snorting so he doesn’t tease me about it.
“Stop. Stop. Okayyy.” I laugh.
“Let’s go shower again. Then I’ll take you home to change, and we can go pick up Kiki. I’m sure she’ll be happy to see your disappearing ass.” My chest tightens with his words but vanishes when my eyes stare into his unserious ones.
“Where is she?”
“It doesn’t even matter. Come on, Miss Piggy. I want to feed you, and then the three of us can spend the day together.”
“Alright. How about we drive to Columbus and go to the zoo? Has she been there before?”
“We can certainly do that. No, she’s never been before, so it should be interesting to see how she does with all the animals,” Zakai says.
The thought of spending the day with Zakai and Zakiyah while we give her a new experience motivates me to get out of bed.
Thanks to the fact that I didn’t come with an overnight bag and Zakai didn’t give my poor pussy a break, I’m completely naked.
The air doesn’t bother me as I strut toward the ensuite bathroom.
It took Zakai less than a minute to follow me and only a second before my hands were on the shower walls.
Despite the ache in my lower half that felt so good, I threw my ass back against his pelvis as his dick pushed in and out of me deliciously.
By the time Zakai and I left his house to go to my apartment so I could get dressed, it hurt like hell to take even snail steps.
I probably should have left well enough alone because I think Zakai beat my pussy out of the frame.
What’s worse than the pain that shoots from my honeypot is the fact that Zakai and I arrive at what he told me is his parents’ house an hour later.
I’m in no shape to meet his parents for the first time.
Every step I have taken since we left my apartment has a deep frown and wince sliding into place.
My eyes widen and bounce from the house to Zakai, who smirks.
“Come on with your scary ass. This ain’t the experience that’ll haunt you like you think.”
My experience with parents isn’t great, so I’m unsure if I believe Zakai’s statement.
Mothers scare me more than fathers since I have never had an encounter with whoever mine is.
But the thought of Zakai’s parents possibly not liking me or having anything but pleasantries for me causes jitters in my stomach.
I look down at myself to check the attire that I suddenly don’t remember, to see if it will meet their approval.
I'm wearing a multi-color checkered blazer, a white button-down shirt, a pair of classic high-waisted skinny jeans, and pink and white tennis shoes.
My breath hitches when Zakai opens my door and frowns as his forehead wrinkles.
“Come on, Ziya. I promise this ain’t that type of situation. You look beautiful, and even if you didn’t, you’re not here to impress anybody. If you want, I’ll slap fire outta both of my parents if they say anything out of the way.”
A giggle slips from my mouth as Zakai helps me out of the vehicle before he links our hands together.
“You’re laughing, but I’m serious. For you, I’m willing to find out how deep the scars in Big Homie’s sides go.”
“Oh my God.” I laugh as Zakai guides me to the front door, and the jitters within me vanish the minute we climb the porch.
Zakai inserts a key into the lock and enters the house with me slightly behind him until we pass through the threshold.
“Hey. Hey. Hey. Where y’all at?” Zakai shouts.
“Daddy! Daddy!” A small, cute, and squeaky voice screams before the sound of little feet upturns my lips seconds before Zakiyah comes into view. “Pwitty! It’s Pwitty, Daddy!” Zakiyah’s merriment is all in her eyes as her face stretches when she sees me with her dad.
“Hi, cutie patootie.” I grin before I bend down a second before she slams into my legs, almost knocking me over.
“Miss you, Pwitty.” My heart melts, and my chest pulls tight when Zakiyah’s words penetrate my ears.
“Damn, you forgot all about me, Kiki.”
I giggle and release Zakiyah so she can greet her dad, who stands beside me looking butthurt about his daughter’s change in direction.
If Zakai didn’t interrupt our embrace, I would have shed a few tears from the tight hug Zakiyah gave me.
When more feet echo in the foyer, I fight the urge to hide behind Zakai as an older couple comes into view.
My heart races as their eyes bounce from me to Zakai to Zakiyah and back to me.
“Oh my goodness. My day has been made. I see why my grandbaby adores you. You're gorgeous, Queen,” an unknown female says causing my eyes to land on the newcomer.
She has to be Zakai’s mom from the many attributes she’s given her son. She snaps her fingers in a you’re that bitch manner that removes my anxiety instantly.
“Hello, Ms. Pretty,” Zakai’s older doppelganger says as a smile surfaces.
Their warm welcome catches me off guard but also settles the jitters in my stomach. I stand to my full height as I realize for the first time that I’m still in a crouching position. Then I extend my hand and provide a genuine, warm smile.
“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Caziya.”
“It’s very nice to meet you. I’m Naomi, and this is my husband, Walter. We’re Zakai’s parents.”
Now God, why didn’t you send me parents like these two when you were forming me in my mother’s womb?
“I hate to break up this little introduction, but we have a date and need to get out of here. When time permits, I’ll bring Caziya back,” Zakai says.
“You do that.” Mrs. Naomi winks.
In five minutes, Zakai ushers Zakiyah and me out of his parents’ front door and back in his vehicle.
“I go wif you, Pwitty?” Zakiyah asks, and I turn to look in the back.
“Mhm. We’re going somewhere fun, and I think you’re going to love it,” I tell Zakiyah as she claps with merriment.
“Yay!” Zakiyah shouts.
My smile slides into place as I turn back to the front, and Zakai’s hand lands on my thigh. Tingles surge from my thigh to my lower lips, and I clench my legs as Zakai chuckles.
“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of that itch once Kiki goes down tonight.” Zakai’s voice is a lower and deeper octave that causes me to shift in my seat.
“I d-didn’t know I was staying overnight?” The shakiness in my voice can’t be avoided, thanks to the entrance of my hormones and purring pussy.
“Try to go home after being gone and see if I let you get away. Since your pussy snatched my soul, we’re stuck. Unless you’re ready to explain to your rental office why you need a new door.”
My eyes wrinkle, and my nose twists as I tilt my head before I question him. “What do you mean? There’s nothing wrong with my door.”
“Mhm. But there will be if you’re not in my bed tonight.”
I giggle as I sync my phone to the radio and turn on some kid-friendly music for Zakiyah.
“Kiki, doo-doo, doo-doo,” I sing as she claps when the catchy song plays.
Zakai drives us to Columbus, and we arrive at the zoo nearly two hours later. I yawn before I unbuckle my seat belt and turn to see that Zakiyah is asleep.
“Uh, do you think this was a bad idea?” I ask Zakai.
“Nah, she’ll be good once we get in there. Hold tight. I’m gonna get her out and then open your door.” Zakai exits the vehicle and moves to Zakiyah’s door before he assists to help me out.
Thankfully, Zakiyah’s eyes pop open, and she’s wide awake once our tickets have been bought and we walk through the front gates. Zakai helps her to her feet before he takes one of her hands, and I accept the other.
“Ooh, an-mul.” Zakiyah gushes as she points with wide eyes when she sees a keeper with a baby monkey on their shoulder.
“That’s a monkey.” I smile.
“Muh-kee,” Zakiyah repeats.
A chuckle comes from Zakai as he shakes his head. “I can see now that this is about to be quite overwhelming and educational for Kiki.”
“Don’t forget fun. A time is about to be had.” I grin.
The three of us continue on our journey as my chest expands with every step we take.
This moment feels permanent and like it’s where I’m destined to be in life.
I no longer feel the sting of Rosetta’s inability to mother me.
In fact, my only thought right now is how to make this experience a memorable one for Zakiyah.
“Eww. Tinky, Pwitty.” Zakiyah fans her hand, and I crack up from how tight her face is.
We’re approaching the barn where they keep goats, sheep, chickens, and a few other animals. I totally agree with Zakiyah’s assessment because the smell unapologetically penetrates every nose within a half-mile radius.
“Damn,” Zakai mutters. A cute frown forms, and I fight not to laugh at the dual reaction from the father/daughter duo.
“Let’s go in for a second. They have some adorable baby goats, and I think Zakiyah will like to pet them.”
“Man. I ain’t trying to have that stench seep into my pores, Ziya.” Zakai’s frown deepens.
Unable to prevent it, a laugh escapes my mouth, and Zakiyah turns to look at me. Her eyes are curious and assessing.
“Do you want to go to the barn with me, Zakiyah? We don’t have to stay long. I promise.”
“Otay, Pwitty. I go.” Zakiyah releases Zakai’s hand as we head toward the barn’s entrance, and Zakai stays in place as he watches us intently.
I regret the suggestion the minute we walk through the door, and the smell intensifies; I cover my nose with my free hand.
“Oh no. Tinky. Tinky, Pwitty.” Zakiyah fans her face, and I try to lead her toward the enclosure where two baby goats are. “Oh no. Not go. Tinky, Pwitty.” Zakiyah points, and a father with a child on his chest in a carrier, and one beside him laughs heartily.
“I can’t say that I blame her,” the man says.
“Go, Pwitty. Want Daddy.” Zakiyah squeezes my hand, and I know our time in the barn is over.
Over the next hour or so, I learn two things about Zakai and Zakiyah: They share the same mannerisms, and neither of them enjoys the aroma at the zoo.
I have to bribe both of them with ice cream in order for me to go see my favorite animal before we leave.
The koala. But I don’t know who walks faster to the exit, Zakai or Zakiyah soon after.
Perhaps when Zakiyah is older, I’ll be able to convince her to come back.
In the meantime, the three of us leave the zoo grounds and head toward the first ice cream parlor available.
But I have no complaints because being with Zakai and Zakiyah made my heart burst with joy.
