A WORLD REBORN
The forest no longer felt like a battlefield.
The smoke had thinned.
The air was calmer.
Quiet… but not empty.
Aria stood in the center of the clearing, her silver eyes slowly scanning everything around her.
The ground still carried marks of destruction—cracked earth, broken trees, traces of fire—but something else had changed.
The air itself felt different.
Balanced.
Alive.
Lucian stepped closer to her.
His gaze didn’t leave her face.
“…You really came back.”
Aria glanced at him.
A soft smile touched her lips.
“I told you I would.”
Rowan walked over, stretching his shoulders.
“Yeah, but you disappeared into a literal nightmare dimension. Forgive us for doubting.”
Aria let out a quiet breath.
“I didn’t disappear.”
She looked toward the distance.
“I went where it all began.”
The Alpha King approached them, his presence calm but still powerful.
His golden eyes rested on Aria.
“And the Void?”
Aria paused.
For a moment, her expression turned thoughtful.
“It’s still there.”
Lucian frowned slightly.
“That doesn’t sound reassuring.”
Aria shook her head.
“But it’s not… what it was before.”
She lifted her hand slightly.
A faint ripple of silver energy moved through the air.
Far ahead—
The space shimmered.
Not a tear.
Not a crack.
A thin, glowing line—like a boundary between two worlds.
Rowan squinted.
“…Okay. That’s new.”
Elias stepped closer, studying it carefully.
“It’s stable.”
The Alpha King’s gaze sharpened.
“You changed the connection.”
Aria nodded.
“I didn’t seal the Void.”
Lucian crossed his arms.
“…You said that before.”
Aria turned to him.
Her voice was steady.
“I bound it to our world.”
Silence followed.
Rowan blinked.
“…I’m gonna need simpler words.”
Lucian sighed.
“She means the gate isn’t broken anymore.”
Aria nodded again.
“It’s no longer something that can be forced open.”
Her eyes softened slightly.
“It’s… controlled.”
Elias looked stunned.
“That means…”
“No more invasions,” Aria said.
The Alpha King let out a slow breath.
Then, for the first time since the war began—
He relaxed.
“You ended it.”
Aria shook her head gently.
“I changed it.”
Lucian studied her carefully.
There was something different about her.
Not just her power.
Her presence.
Quieter.
Stronger in a way that didn’t need to prove itself.
“…You’re different.”
Aria met his gaze.
“I know.”
Rowan folded his arms.
“Well, as long as you’re still you.”
She smirked slightly.
“Unfortunately for you—yes.”
He grinned.
“Good.”
The moment softened.
But only for a second.
Because suddenly—
The air shifted again.
Aria felt it immediately.
Her silver eyes flickered.
Lucian noticed.
“What is it?”
She looked toward the shimmering boundary.
“…Something’s there.”
The others turned instantly.
The thin line between worlds pulsed once.
Then—
A figure stepped through.
Slowly.
Calmly.
Lucian’s hand moved to his sword.
Rowan tensed.
The Alpha King’s golden aura flared faintly again.
The figure fully emerged.
Tall.
Familiar.
The Void Lord.
But this time—
It didn’t radiate hostility.
It didn’t summon darkness.
It simply stood there.
Watching.
Aria stepped forward.
“You came through.”
The Void Lord tilted its head slightly.
“The boundary allows passage.”
Lucian muttered,
“…I don’t like where this is going.”
Rowan nodded quickly.
“Same.”
The Void Lord’s glowing eyes rested on Aria.
“You changed the order.”
Aria didn’t deny it.
“Yes.”
The creature looked around the forest.
The sky.
The world.
Then back at her.
“Two worlds.”
Its voice was calm.
“Now connected.”
The Alpha King stepped forward slightly.
“And controlled.”
The Void Lord didn’t argue.
“For now.”
Lucian narrowed his eyes.
“That doesn’t sound permanent.”
The Void Lord ignored him.
Its gaze stayed on Aria.
“You created balance.”
Aria’s expression didn’t change.
“I created a choice.”
Silence followed.
Then the Void Lord spoke again.
“Then we will see what your world chooses.”
Lucian frowned.
“…What does that mean?”
The Void Lord took a step back toward the boundary.
“It means…”
It paused.
Looking at Aria one last time.
“This is only the beginning.”
Then—
It stepped backward.
And disappeared into the shimmer.
The boundary calmed again.
The forest returned to silence.
Rowan let out a long breath.
“…I miss when our problems were just rogue wolves.”
Lucian rubbed the back of his neck.
“Yeah.”
The Alpha King looked at Aria.
“You opened a new era.”
Aria stared at the place where the Void Lord vanished.
Her silver eyes were calm.
But thoughtful.
“…No.”
She said quietly.
“I gave it a chance.”
Lucian stepped beside her.
“And now?”
Aria looked ahead.
At the world that had nearly been destroyed.
Now changed forever.
“…Now we learn how to live in it.”
