Chapter 7 Phone Mishap

While thinking, suddenly I heard a meow.

My cat jumped from the table into my arms.

It scared me, and I quickly reached to catch it, throwing my phone aside instinctively.

The moment I caught the cat, I sighed in relief.

Until the next second, I heard a clang.

I looked.

The phone fell to the ground, screen down.

"Oh no, my phone!"

I squatted down, quickly picked up the phone to check if it was okay.

Luck was bad, the screen shattered mostly.

I tried pressing the power button, no response.

It was broken.

"..."

Miserable me, I went out to send the phone to the repair shop.

"Miss, this repair is troublesome. The outer and inner screens are badly damaged. We suggest buying a new phone is more cost-effective than replacing the screen."

"You're kidding, I'll choose repair."

"Then miss, you need to pay 1500 yuan here."

"..."

I froze for a few seconds, then asked, "If I buy a new phone, can the old phone's data be transferred?"

The staff looked troubled, "No, the phone won't turn on, unless repaired."

"Then repair it."

I paid painfully. That phone had my writing records, no backup on computer.

The repair time was long, could pick up tomorrow.

I could only wait.

Bored at home without my phone.

Suddenly at midnight, the door was knocked.

"Bestie, open quickly, are you in danger?"

It was my best friend's voice.
