45. Chapter 45 #2

His mouth left my breast, even as his hand continued twisting and flicking the bud through my dress. Hot breath blazed over my ribs, my stomach, straight to the center of my focus. He exhaled against my skin, and the warmth of his breath, even through the fabric, made me shiver.

I lifted onto my elbows, releasing his hair. I had never been worshipped before.

Never, even on the nights I touched myself, had my body come alive like this.

His hands moved, one sliding up the inside of my thigh, tugging fabric with it until it disappeared under my dress.

My entire body shuddered as the pad of his thumb traced the shape of my body, finding the seam between my legs and lightly running the length of it.

He looked up. “Okay?”

I nodded, biting my lip to keep from begging for more.

I didn’t have to say the words, though. In moments, soft fingers slid inside me, curling and twisting in a slow circle. I gasped, my head tipping back, eyes closing as all my focus zeroed in on his fingers between my legs.

Hot breath through the fabric, then his tongue against the sensitive nerves at the apex of my thighs.

“Elias,” I cried.

His fingers curled, stroking the inside of my walls faster.

A cry erupted from me before I knew why. My knees began to shake.

“Elias.” A ripple of pleasure shot down my middle, and I dug my nails into the blankets, twisting the fabric as something built low in my belly. “Elias!”

I wasn’t sure what I was begging for anymore. “Please.”

A third finger slid inside me, and I cried out, legs falling wide. Cool air touched my belly, but I was far beyond caring about anything but the pleasure mounting like a tidal wave.

A hot tongue licked up my center. No fabric this time. His mouth closed over me, and his fingers worked faster until coherent thought vanished.

I sagged into the bed, my limbs like jelly, but he didn’t stop, and before I had time to catch my breath, pressure was building again.

“Wait,” I breathed.

His mouth left my hypersensitive skin, the strokes slowing, but they didn’t stop.

With some effort, I lifted my head. “What about you?”

His lips were swollen and red, wetness glistening on his mouth. He smiled and climbed up the bed, fingers slowly sliding out of me and running a wet line up my body. I sat up, holding my hands over my head, and he tugged the soaking garment off me and tossed it to the floor.

I watched as he unbuckled his belt, tugging it free.

My eyes widened as his cock sprang free.

I should have been afraid. Two days ago, I would have been. A lot had changed in two days.

His pants dropped to the floor, and he climbed back atop me, his thigh inching my knees apart as he pressed it firmly against my flaming sex. Every nerve buzzed to life as he leaned down, touching his lips to mine in a reverent kiss.

He lifted, eyes meeting mine. “Maryn. I love you, and I want to spend my life with you.”

I swallowed, my mouth suddenly dry. “I want that, too.”

He glanced down, then back up to my face. “Do you know what happens between a man and woman when they choose each other forever?”

I nodded. “I think so.”

He pressed another kiss to my lips. “It will hurt a little. But only once.”

I was suddenly even more grateful for Vera’s vial. Had she known?

Elias lowered himself, his knee sliding down until his erection pressed against my thigh.

A thrill shot through me, my heartbeat speeding.

His hand disappeared between us, a finger caressing my opening, and then he was pressing inside me, stretching me.

I gasped; his mouth found mine, swallowing the sound. I wrapped my arms around his neck, running my fingers through his hair.

He thrust. A sharp pressure, then it gave way, and he was fully inside me. My breath left me completely. His elbows caged me in, one hand cradling my head, and I turned my face into his neck and held on.

Pressure built, higher this time, and I stopped trying to hold anything back. My back arched, his name tearing out of me as the shudder that followed shattered something I hadn’t known I was guarding. I was still shaking when he stilled.

When he pulled out, I curled against his chest before I could think better of it.

His lips pressed into my temple, my cheek, my collarbone. He brushed my tangled hair aside, and we settled onto our sides, facing each other.

“I love you,” he whispered.

I said nothing, pressing my cheek against his so he couldn’t see my face.

I opened my eyes, letting them adjust in the dark. Beside me, Elias breathed deeply, his arm wrapped around me.

Carefully, I lifted his arm, inching out from under him.

Sitting up in his massive bed, I searched the room until I found my bag and slid off the side, my bare toes cold against cement.

Padding to the table, I unwrapped my bag and pulled out the robe Vera had packed for me.

“Where are you going?”

I froze, back to Elias, and blew out a silent breath before turning to face him. “I need to use the restroom.”

He gave me a lazy grin, eyes already sliding closed again.

I spun toward the door.

“Chicago.”

I stopped and looked back. “What?”

“It’s the command word for the dogs. I don’t want them mauling my future wife in the hall.”

My limbs began to tingle, a weight falling away as I nodded, schooling my face into neutrality.

Elias rolled over, breathing heavily again in moments.
