Trixie didn’t speak much in the car coming back home, but the smile on her face was beautiful. She said I love you to me, not just in the Pit, but five times in the car. Never going to get bored with her saying it.
Walking into the house, Trixie takes my hand. I turn to her. “You want to get changed? Family BBQ and pool party.” I look out to the garden and see everyone, and I’m surprised to see Cain and Autumn here too.
