Chapter 46
Caterina
This club was where Harlow spent years being tormented.
I didn’t want it to take nearly as long to destroy it as it did, but now I would put an end to it once and for all.
While I was in New York, I had Roman plan a meeting with all the families since I needed a distraction to do this.
No one would know that this was my plan, and Roman would be safe from any retaliation.
I just took a chance when Vincenzo was gone like he did.
I blew up a shipment on the docks so most of the men were away from the club, but there were still a handful here I had to deal with.
Adjusting the blonde wig, I walked into the club with Malachi on my arm.
We had to pretend to be a high-profile couple wanting to have a girl or two together.
I hated the profile Luca created for us, but we had to make this believable.
Two of my men already infiltrated the club as clients and had women in the back room.
They were already safe. Now, I needed to do the rest of this to make sure all of these girls were safe and Vincenzo’s men were dead.
While Malachi and I stepped into the club, the rest of the men were circling the club waiting for my signal.
From what I could see, there were ten men inside the club, but most of them were distracted with women.
I needed to make sure my men didn’t accidently harm any of these women or lose any of them as collateral.
“Mr. and Mrs. Delgado?” one of the men asked. I believed his name was Sebastian.
“You would be correct,” I said blankly. “Now, where are the women we were promised?” My profile that Luca created was for a madame looking for new women.
They thought this was a business deal and I would be leaving with a handful of women.
Little did they know, I would be taking every single woman out of here while looking for Harlow.
He looked at Malachi, a question burning. “Listen to my wife and bring us the girls. Are you incompetent?”
He mumbled something under his breath, and I think I caught bitch and put her in her place.
I would enjoy killing him. He led us to a viewing room where there were a dozen girls waiting.
They looked mortified and ill. How did men get off on abusing women who looked like they were about to break?
Did they not know how to talk to women or how to read a room?
Even if they wanted to pay for sex, there were various places in the city where there was consensual sex work.
I walked in front of the women, and I hated the way they cowered under my persona. Yeah, I was going to burn this place to the ground. The pain this club had caused everyone including my wife would burn in a fiery inferno, and the sins of Vincenzo would soon paint the streets.
“I want to test the merchandise privately.” I glanced at the man. “What was your name again?”
His jaw clenched. He was the type of man who didn’t want to answer to a woman. Malachi cleared his throat. “You might want to answer my wife before she shoots you in the dick.”
“Why are you listening to this stronza?”
“This bitch is queen, and I will kill you. Now tell me your name, little man.”
“Sebastian,” he growled, his fists clenching at his side.
Sebastian. Harlow told me about him. He was there the night Vincenzo told Harlow she would be his wife.
He also hurt my wife, which meant he had to die.
If I could get him out of here, maybe I would torment him, but my priority was getting these women to safety.
“Well, Sebastian, leave and allow me and my husband to test our new products.” I hated talking about these women like this, but once he was gone, these women would be reassured that they were safe. “Toodaloo, bastardo.”
Malachi made sure the door was locked, and I could see the fear radiating off of the women.
There was one woman in front of the others who looked older, and she was clearly the protector.
She looked like the type of woman that would take the brunt of the trauma and a bullet for the girls cowering behind her.
“Whatever you do, just do it to me,” she hissed. “Just let them go.”
Malachi stayed at the door as I stepped closer to them. Some of the girls flinched in fear, and I was still feet away from them. “I won’t hurt you.” The girl in front scoffed. “I am serious. I am getting you out of here. You look like you’ve been here a while. Do you know Harlow?”
Her body tensed. “Is she alive? Vincenzo was pissed because she escaped.”
That tells me that she isn’t here with them now, being held here. “She didn’t escape. I took her. She is my wife.”
The woman looked at me dumbfounded. “Who are you?”
“My name is Caterina Moretti. I am going to get everyone out of here tonight.”
“Moretti. How do we know you won’t hurt us?”
“Because I am not Vincenzo. You will be safe and you can all go home. What’s your name?”
She narrowed her eyes on me, defiance in her eyes. I could see she wanted to believe me, but she was scared it would be a trap. “My name is Ivy.”
“Ivy, I need to get everyone out of here. Can you trust me enough to help them? If I wanted to hurt you, I would have done it already.”
“Fine. I want them safe first.”
I nodded, looking at Malachi. “This is where the women will go. Ivy can help us get them. Once the men are dead, we can start evacuating them.”
I hit a button on my watch, signaling my men.
They would get out of here and then I would go back to finding my wife.
The women he kidnapped and sold deserved to be free, to have their lives back.
Vincenzo Mancini ruined so many lives; it was time for him to join the fishes and die for his sins.
I wasn’t a religious woman, but Vincenzo would burn for the pain he caused people and I couldn’t wait to be the judge, jury, and executioner.
I stepped out of the room with my sunglasses on my face and my gun tucked into the sleeve of my outlandish outfit. This would be a dress that would limit me, but I knew my men had my back.
My goal was to kill as many of these men as I could without drawing attention, and for men like this, the best way to do that was with one thing. I found two men by the bar and leaned over, making sure my tits showed. I hated the male gaze, but I would kill them shortly.
“Hey there, boys,” I purred. “My husband is busy. What do you say we go to a room and you show me a good time?” They high fived. “Careful now, I’m rowdy in the bedroom.”
They pushed me towards a room, their mouths on my skin that was exposed.
I hated this, but I would cleanse my skin of their filth when I was home and these women were safe.
I pressed my back against the door and one of the men covered me with his body.
My gun pressed into his stomach, and I fired.
He grunted and sagged against me as I held him up.
His buddy laughed, thinking he already finished before even getting me naked.
I pushed his body down and fired at his friend before he could process what happened.
There was commotion and screaming around us, but I would let my men handle everything else.
I walked into the gunfire, ducking low and crawling towards terrified women.
The ones in the main room were huddled together and sobbing into each other.
They jumped when they saw me. I knew they were scared, but I needed them to move.
“Stay low and crawl. I’m getting you out of here.”
They were hesitant at first, but when one woman started to move, they all followed suit.
Three girls stayed, holding their friend who was shot.
“I got her. I need you two to go. I’ll keep her safe and she will get help.
I promise.” Promises were dangerous to make in a warzone, but I needed to give these women something they lost… they needed hope.
I grabbed the girl who was injured and carried her bridal style, keeping her head tucked into my chest as I bolted across the room.
I put the girl in my arms into the room and made sure they kept pressure on her wound.
It didn’t look life threatening, but I didn’t know when I could get her to a doctor.
I ran back into the fire, assisting my men.
We were close to being clear, but I knew we had to swarm the area to make sure no one was hiding.
Men like this were tricky bastards and would find a way to sneak out or do more harm.
I didn’t need any fatalities from my men or the women I promised to save.
Serena was ready with several more psychiatrists to help these women.
And I had Lizzy ready, as well. I would do anything I could to make sure they were taken care of and returned back to their homes.
Cornelius was covering the front while Alexi covered the back while the rest of my men were inside dealing with the trash.
Men were running, firing guns and trying to escape, but they wouldn’t.
These women were safe, but I still didn’t know where my wife was. Rage was growing every moment, and I knew if I didn’t find her soon, it would consume me.
