Chapter Thirty-One #2
I found Hunter downstairs, sitting on the couch in the living room as if she hadn’t been spying on us in the shower.
I walked over and sat on the low coffee table in front of her while she stared at her lap, twiddling her thumbs.
It was the most vulnerable I’d ever seen Hunter Parrish, and it was all I could do not to touch her.
I wasn’t sure she would welcome it, so I kept my hands to myself.
“Look at me, Vengeance.”
She sucked in a breath before lifting her head and letting me see the uncertainty in her eyes. I wasted no time putting her out of her misery.
“You did nothing I wouldn’t have done myself,” I told her.
The tension left her shoulders all at once. “So what happens now?”
“I go to war with my father.”
Her surprise was palpable. “Are you serious?” I gave a grave nod. I would be digging a lot of them before the end. “And then?”
I reached for her and took her place on the couch before pulling her into my lap.
“You don’t need to be afraid of me,” I assured her because I felt like I needed to. Hopefully, for the last time.
Hunter surprised me when she snorted and curled against me. “I’m not afraid of you. I’m pretty sure I could take you, pretty boy.”
“Oh, yeah?” I laughed as I toyed with her delicate fingers. Coby had implied something similar. “Maybe I should visit next time you’re training with Abel. We could go a few rounds on the mat. See who takes who.”
Hunter squirmed in my lap, probably at the thought of me taking her in a different way. “You still haven’t answered my question. What happens if you win and become Boss?”
“When I become Boss,” I corrected as I rubbed her thigh, “I change the rules, and I make you my queen. You…and Coby.”
Hunter stuck her nose in the air and looked away so I wouldn’t see how much she liked that idea. “Well, don’t expect me to mourn you if you die.”
“Brat.” I smiled as I slipped a hand under her shirt. My thumb absently swept the small pudge on her lower belly as I watched her. “Not even a little?” Hunter shook her head, and I kissed her arm. “Well, it’s a good thing I have no intention of failing.”
Hunter scoffed while her nostrils flared. “No one ever intends to fail, Ocean.”
“Look at me.” She met my gaze as I brought her hand to my lips and kissed the back of it. “I won’t fail,” I assured her. I knew the real reason she was pouting. “I won’t die.”
Hunter searched my gaze and surprised us both when she leaned down and pecked my lips. “You better not,” she whispered.
The last thread of my control snapped.
“Hunter.” I pleaded against her lips as I kissed her deeply.
I felt her soft hands framing my face as she chased my tongue. “Yes, Ocean?”
“You know I’m not letting you go to sleep without beating that pussy, right?”
Her breathing quickened as she eagerly nodded. “Please do.”
“Lay down.”
Hunter quickly obeyed, shoving her pants down her legs as she went.
I ripped open my jeans with the same urgency, but froze when she gaped her legs open to show me her pussy.
My hand trembled as I shoved aside the one she used to play with her clit and reverently slid a finger through her glistening lower lips.
“You touched yourself while you watched us?” I asked. I wanted to hear her say it.
“Yes.”
“Did you come?”
Hunter’s face was pinched as she circled her hips like she was on the verge of doing it again. “So hard.”
I leaned over to steal a taste of her pussy, kissing and licking her perfect lips until she was writhing and mindless and dripping down her thighs and onto the couch. I brought Hunter to the edge, and she cursed me out when I stopped right before she tumbled over.
Holding her gaze, I shoved my jeans and boxers down just enough to free my dick.
“I have to go. This has to be quick,” I warned as I climbed between her thighs. “I’m sorry, Vengeance.”
“I’m not. Please, please.” Hunter gripped my dark blue hoodie tighter while pulling me closer. “I need you.”
“Fuck, I need you too.”
I swallowed her cry as I granted her wish and slid inside her warmth. I didn’t stop until I was balls deep and felt her walls hugging every inch. Hunter’s heels dug into my ass while I pounded in and out of her, fucking her into the couch cushions without mercy or thought.
They both ran from me today, so I made it my mission to show them why they couldn’t run forever.
I’d chase them to the ends of the earth, and they’d keep coming back.
This invisible pull that held us captive left no room for rationality.
Nothing else made sense but the three of us. Nothing else mattered.
I threw her legs over my shoulders, locking her place as I increased my pace, hitting her spot like a battering ram. Hunter gripped the couch arm above her head with one hand and my hoodie with the other as she tried like hell to hold on.
“Ocean, Ocean… fuuuuuuck meeee!”
I clapped my hand over her mouth to keep her quiet. I didn’t want to wake Coby and start this process of putting them both to sleep all over again. “Come for me, baby,” I demanded quietly. “Squeeze my dick and squirt all over it. Fucking drown me. Please?”
She did just that.
It was only after I was already spilling inside Hunter’s pussy that I realized I’d forgotten to wear a condom again.
Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t stop now, so I lodged my dick deeper, making her cry out behind my hand.
I muffled my groan in her shoulder as I emptied my balls and then collapsed on her, giving her only as much of my weight as she could take.
“Are you on birth control?” I asked after I caught my breath. My heart was still racing, but at least I wasn’t still seeing stars.
“No.” Her gaze widened as sheer panic took over when she realized why I’d asked. “Oh, my God.”
“Good.” With one last searing kiss, I climbed off her and redid my jeans while Hunter gaped at me like I was crazy. I grabbed one of the throw pillows and tucked it under her hips to keep them propped before leaning over and staring into her torn gaze. “Tell me you’re mine, Vengeance.”
“You haven’t earned me yet,” she said before turning her head away. She could pretend to be mad all she wanted, but I didn’t hear her objecting to having my baby.
I placed a kiss on her cheek before standing. “I will.”
Hunter stubbornly didn’t respond, closing her eyes and turning away from me.
I covered her with a blanket and then sat on the table and watched her until her breathing slowed and she fell asleep.
Standing, I quietly stalked for the elevator and rode it down to the lobby, where Abel was waiting.
The last place I wanted to be was in the streets when I could be with Hunter and Coby instead, but my father had forced my hand, which meant I still had moves to make before I could even think about sleep.
Abel was never without his game face, so I didn’t have to ask if he was ready. Still, I could see his concern for Hunter and Coby bleeding through. They were growing on him, especially Hunter, though he’d never let her know. “Are they good?”
I nodded and said a silent prayer to God for Hunter and Coby’s instincts and ferocity when it came to each other.
My pops made his move, and now it was my turn.
I was going to kill the head of the Fola, and after, I’d deliver his head to my queens as a wedding gift.
