8. Tomorrow #2
“Okay, I’m putting my AirPods in and turning on music. I do not want to be a part of this conversation.” Tuesday did exactly what she said that she would, to all our amusement.
After all the chuckles died down, all the eyes were on me. Oh, they really want an answer. I didn’t want to answer the question. “Well, we are being careful.”
“That not what she ask,” Mrs. Mi-Kyung said. She mumbled something in Korean that pulled a titter from her daughter.
My middle brows kissed. What the hell was that? I needed to hurry up and start my Korean lessons. My fluency went as far as jenjang (fuck me), salanghaeyo (I love you), and geu bojileul ppal-ajwo (eat that pussy).
Kyro’s mother noticed. She leaned forward on the table and looked me dead in my eyes as she spoke.
“Tomorrow, if you’re not on birth control on top of not using protection, then y’all aren’t being careful.
The pull-out method isn’t effective nor is tracking your ovulation.
Kyro is an ovulation tracked, pull-out baby. ”
My eyelids widened. Kyro and I were not using protection all the time, and I was not on birth control. We used protection 80 percent of the time. That had to count for something. “Well, we use protection a majority of the time, but . . .” My shoulders shrugged. “Things happen.”
Danielle looked at Rachel. “Looks like we’re going to be aunties sooner than later!” When they high fived each other, I was over it.
The ladies must have sensed my angst, so they gave me a reprieve. I said a silent prayer when the subject changed. The subject may have changed, but my mind was still on the conversation left behind.
A Short Time Later . . .
Smack! “Mar, throw that fuckin’ ass back. I gave you your nuts. Pull this fuckin’ nut out of me.” Smack!
Every smack, I took as a challenge. I climaxed four times.
We’d been fucking on each other all day.
Tomorrow was the private art event, so August came and got Tuesday for the weekend.
We were home alone, and that was the perfect time to fuck all over the condo.
Right now, my knees were in his tattoo chair in his loft while he tore my pussy up from behind.
My ass pushed out, and my legs spread a little so that I could get the perfect throwback position. The second I had what I deemed the perfect position, my ass started to do a little circle. I didn’t have much ass, but I had enough to grab and throw in a circle.
I peeked over my shoulder because he was quiet outside of his grunts and moans. “You not talkin’ all that shit now. Why you so quiet now?”
His bottom lip was tucked between his teeth, and he was laser focused. His hiss was loud when I used these pussy muscles that he loved to persuade his nut to come to the party. “Fuck, Mar! Shit!”
The thrust told on him. Moments later, his body stilled behind me. Although it was still, I felt the shiver from it.
As soon as he pulled out of me it was like responsibility entered the room. “Fuck, Kyro! We forgot to use a condom.”
He walked over to his desk and grabbed the wipes that were on top of it. “Um, I didn’t forget anything. To forget to use a condom, I would have had to have a condom.”
My eyes slitted. Why did he have to be so damn difficult? “Mr. Goings, if we don’t do better, we’re going to be parents before we blink.”
He stared at me for a beat, then started to rapidly blink. He didn’t stop until I asked what the hell he was doing. “I wanted to push some blinks along so we could get to it already.”
My mouth fell agape and a gasp released. I didn’t mean to laugh, but I did. It would only encourage him. “Kyro!”
“What! I’m almost thirty. I’m ready for all the things,” he told me.
I cleaned myself up and threw the wipes in the trash. “Kyro, I’m not having children for any man except my husband. Do with that information as you will. I’m about to go start dinner.”
I left the loft to see if the chicken had thawed. I washed my hands, then got started with dinner. Kyro came over with his sketch book and sat at the island where he normally did while I cooked.
About twenty minutes into my cooking process, my phone rang. When I saw who it was, I put it on speakerphone. “Hey, Daddy.”
“Hey, baby girl? How are you doing today?” My father had the deepest voice of any man I’d ever heard. I remember when I was a little girl, my favorite thing to do was to lay on him while he told me a story. His voice would put me to sleep every time.
I checked the pot to see if my water was at a boil before I answered. “I’m good. Cooking dinner for me and Kyro.”
“Hey, Mr. Bennett,” Kyro greeted. “How you doing, man?”
“You know me, youngin. I’m staying dangerous until I walk out of here. You taking care of my babies like we talked about?”
My head tilted because, when did they talk about that? To my knowledge, the only time Kyro spoke to my dad, Shawn, was when he was around me or Tuesday when he called. From this conversation, it sounded like they’d had ex parte communication.
Kyro gave me that look that he gave when he silently told me to mind my business. “You know I’m gonna always take care of my woman, bro, and sis. I promised you I had it, and I do.”
“That’s good to hear. I talked to Tuesday and August a little earlier. They’re having the time of their life in Atlanta.” He chortled.
I giggled. “I can only imagine. Daddy, did you hear anything back from Attorney Mastermind?”
A few years ago, August found a lawyer, Attorney Greg Mastermind, to look into our father’s case.
August felt like some things were mishandled, and our father shouldn’t have gotten as much time as he did.
The lawyer said that he agreed with my brother and took the case pro-bono.
Attorney Mastermind told us that it could be a long process, but he felt hopeful.
My relationship with my father looked completely different than my relationship with my mother.
It wasn’t always like this. I held a lot of resentment toward him after he was convicted.
At that time, I didn’t know the full story about my mother’s involvement.
My mother forbade me and my siblings to go to court proceedings.
In hindsight, that was how she was able to keep the fact that she was with him when he was arrested.
The way she told the story was that she was out with her friends when he was caught.
It wasn’t until years later, after my brother poked around the case to find out what really happened that we learned the truth.
When we confronted our mother, she made light of the shit.
That pissed me off because, yes, my father was in the streets, but there was never a doubt that he loved us.
His criminal record made it hard for him to get a job that truly sustained our family. The streets always had open positions.
Once I knew the truth, I opened up to a sit-down conversation with him.
After our first visit, many more followed, and I appreciated it.
Most people thought that people in jail were a burden because they always needed something.
Shawn Darius Bennett was the exception to the rule.
He was a hustler and took care of himself very well.
There were times that he took care of us as well, .
. . a lot of times. He would send me five hundred to one thousand dollars at a time and told me to put it on bills.
Michelle’s trifling ass never did that shit. We were on state assistance up until I took custody of my brother and sister. I was the one that handled the home finances because I was the one that brought in the money outside of the utility checks. I loved my father. Michelle, not so much.
“I have, baby girl. He came to visit me yesterday to tell me that there’s been a break in my case that might be the key.” The excitement in his voice woke the excitem ent in my soul.
“That’s good news, man,” Kyro blurted with his own excitement. I loved that he wanted this for me and my siblings as much as we did. “Did he get you a court date or anything?”
That was a good question. I waited with bated breath for his answer. “He said we would know in the upcoming weeks if I got one.”
“Please let me know if you do, Daddy. I want to come if I’m allowed to. Did you already tell Tuesday and August?” I asked.
“Nah, I didn’t want to get their hopes up and it’s for nothing. You know baby girl gets her hope as high as heaven, and when she’s disappointed, it goes to hell. I don’t want to do that to her,” he said.
I sighed. “You’re right. Well, I hope it’s good news.”
We talked until I finished dinner. He had a contraband cell phone, so he was able to call more than the normal prisoner. I never called him; he always called us. I prayed that it worked out in our favor and our dad was able to come home.
You’re Our Guest . . .
Tonight was the night of the private art showing.
We got the text with the time and date a few days ago like the initial invitation said that we would.
I was excited and anxious. I’d never been to an art exhibit.
Danielle, of course, was invited. We traveled to Atlanta yesterday to shop for a dress.
I absolutely loved the dress that I bought.
It was a black-tie event, so Kyro was wearing a tuxedo.
Kyro went all out and got me, him, and Danielle a car service for tonight. The event started at eight, and the doors opened at seven thirty. We’d just pulled up to the venue.
“Kyro, be a gentleman,” I whispered. He hadn’t been able to keep his hands off me since I came out of the bedroom. We got ready at Danielle’s house, which was gorgeous. There were days that I was still in shock that I was close with Danielle. For all intent and purposes, she was my aunt.
Kyro kissed my neck, then he placed his lips near my ear. “I am being a gentleman, trust me. I haven’t tried to fuck you in this car yet.”
I gasped then giggled. “You are mannish as hell. I love that shit though.” I said the last part in a low voice.
