Chapter 13 The Last Straw
I blocked Jiang Huai on everything.
Some time later.
Older Brother called.
"Mom sent her homemade beef balls. Come to Jiang Huai's to eat."
I really wanted them.
But the thought of seeing Jiang Huai.
I forced myself to refuse.
"No thanks, Older Brother. I'm pretty busy lately."
After hanging up.
I grabbed random food and headed back to the dorm.
I opened the door.
My breath caught.
Jiang Huai was sitting on my bed.
My roommate said, "A You, your brother came to take you home."
Jiang Huai looked up with a smile. "Let's go. Home to eat the beef balls your mom sent."
"Don't waste her effort."
He stood and grabbed my wrist, pulling me out.
Once we were alone outside.
I yanked free.
"I'm not going to your place!"
He paused. "Why? Do you hate me that much?"
I stayed silent a moment, then exploded. "I just don't want to see you, okay?"
"We're even. You helped me once, I helped you once. It's done. Why won't you leave me alone?"
"I blocked you. You should take the hint and stop bothering me."
He froze completely.
Something unreadable flickered in his dark eyes.
"If you don't want to go, then don't."
He turned and walked away.
