Chapter 19 Rosalie
ROSALIE
We’d dove in, headfirst, after the picture of Anson and me kissing made it to the papers.
It was the only thing we could do.
“It’s a good thing,” Klaus said for what felt like the hundredth time.
We’d taken to posting pictures of us together on our social media, letting the press have a few freebie photos, like the ones from Vegas. We’d made it look like we’d married in a quickie Vegas wedding. The press ate it up.
Aside from the swarm of media, the one thing that came from it was that I hadn’t heard from the stalker since the news came out.
That alone made my invasion of privacy worth it.
And with that dying down, Evan took Ellis home with Trix, and Klaus hung back for an additional week before returning home to work.
So now it was back to Ani and me, with Ryder and Trent at our sides. Dante had relented and gone home, but swore he’d be back if anything happened.
Anson kissed his and Evan’s rings on my finger as we lay in bed that night.
I smiled at the gesture.
“We’re almost done with the tour,” he said softly. “I was thinking maybe we could plan the wedding.”
“Mm, what do you have in mind?”
“Whatever you want, LeeLee. I’m just grateful to be chosen.”
I went up on my elbow and stared down at him. “I will always choose you.”
He smiled at that. “And I will always choose you.”
He pulled me down for a gentle kiss, and I smiled against his lips as we broke apart.
“Klaus actually talked to me about marrying,” I said.
Anson raised his brows at that. “Yeah? About time.”
I laughed softly
“You know,” he said delicately. “I am not opposed to a double wedding. You know, you taking us both on.”
“Really? You don’t want it to just be us?”
“Rosalie, I have wanted you forever. I honestly don’t care how I have you, as long as I do.
I love Klaus like a brother. We are family.
I will gladly share the day with him because of that love.
I want you. I want us. Everything else is just background noise.
If I could share the day with those I love?
In a bed, deep inside you? Then I am more than willing to share. ”
“I love you, Ani.”
He dragged me back to him. “Oh, baby. You don’t know how fucking far I’d go to keep you. I would burn this world to the ground if it meant you’re safe and at my side.”
I deepened the kiss before straddling him. He groaned softly as I slipped onto his bare cock and slowly rode him.
We were still naked from our shower, so clothes weren’t an issue.
“Fuck, LeeLee,” he groaned. “Baby, you feel so fucking good wrapped around my cock like that.”
“Yeah?” I breathed out, moving faster.
“Yeah,” he grunted, his hands on my hips, his blue eyes filled with awe as he stared up at me. “Fuck, let me put my baby inside you.”
I laughed softly at his words. “Mm, Evan wants it too.”
“I know,” he rasped. “It’ll be fun racing him.”
“I look forward to it,” I leaned in and kissed him. He took the opportunity to hammer into me.
“Ride me, LeeLee. Make me come for you,” he husked out as I pulled away.
I did as he wanted, riding him hard and fast until I was crying out his name, his hands painfully tight on my hips as he groaned, his body tense.
His cock pulsed inside me, filling me.
Breathless, we both slowed to a stop before I collapsed in his arms.
“Baby,” he murmured, holding me tight. “I have never been so happy in my life as I am with you.”
I fluttered my lashes as I rested against him.
“Will everything be OK?” I asked softly.
“Yes. I will make sure it is. I swear I will keep you safe. I won’t let anything happen to you.” He kissed the top of my head fiercely as he continued to hold me.
“I miss Evan and Klaus. My Ellis. I just want to go home,” I murmured.
“Soon,” he murmured. “A few more weeks.”
“Then we have to leave again.”
“I know, but then we have time off. We can marry. We can celebrate our family. We can take time for us, baby. We can stall writing the new album, too. It’s OK to take time off. We have a lot going on. Marriage. Hopefully, more babies. Your cosmetics line, perfume line, and the collab with Jamie.”
I nodded. “It might be nice to take my time on the next album.”
“I think so too. You’ve put out three in such a short time. I think we drop a single here or there and just keep riding the wave. Money isn’t an issue.”
“I can go home and see my dad and… mom. See Kurt. See your family. I-I want the break.”
“Then, a break you will have.” He tilted my chin up and brushed his lips against mine.
“You’re too perfect,” I mused.
He chuckled at that.
“You know, Evan talked to me about you reaching out to E.”
I tensed in his hold.
“For Ellis, baby. To-To reach out to Cole.”
“I don’t know what to do about that. I want to talk to Ethan,” I admitted. “I-I miss him. It’s been years, but I hope he’s OK. Dante says he is, but I don’t know what type of OK he is.”
“I-I’m OK with you reaching out,” Anson murmured.
“Evan is. Klaus…he’s, well, Klaus, but I know he’d understand.
Evan and I talked to him. He said Levin told him that E is doing well for himself.
He didn’t get much information, just that he graduated with a degree in chemistry and that he does a lot of work at Mayfair.
He has been doing a lot of work on research there, and he was offered a job as a professor. ”
“Really?” I blinked at that information.
“That’s what Levin said. Klaus didn’t push it, but that’s the information he got. I don’t think he took the job, but he’s definitely consulting there.”
I said nothing, absorbing the information. Hopefully, it meant he was doing great.
“I have to say that I’m impressed with Jamie,” Anson continued. “She’s never told our secrets.”
“She never will,” I said. “That’s why she visits us alone.”
“I feel bad not telling Colten, but then again, we’re not close. He just helped us a lot after… everything.”
“He’d tell Cole. They’re too close for him to keep this sort of thing from him,” I said, my stomach twisting into knots again.
“I know, but we have to consider that we can’t keep doing this forever.” His voice came out thick.
“Evan… I don’t want him to suffer with the guys. I-I don’t want you to deal with things. Or even Klaus. It’s really so complicated. Cole would lose his mind if he knew about Ellis. It honestly terrifies me, but I know it needs to happen.”
“It does need to happen. It’s unavoidable,” he murmured. “One day at a time, baby. OK? We can do that.”
I nodded and relaxed against him.
One day at a time. I’d been doing it for the last few years. At least it wasn’t something new.
“Incredible show!” someone shouted as I came off stage, my band with me.
“My balls are stuck to my thigh,” Cas grunted. “Hey, Cherry, you want to peel them off for me?”
“Cas, I swear,” I said, shaking my head as Bane snickered. “You might not have any left if you let me anywhere near them.”
“Oh, Cherry baby,” he said, waggling his brows at me. “Don’t tease me with a good time.”
“Of course you’d think that’s a good time,” I said with a sigh.
I caught sight of Anson talking to someone from the venue. He looked like it was a deep conversation because he was frowning.
“He looks annoyed,” Vic muttered. “Let’s avoid him. You can find someone to blow me in the bathroom.”
“Dibs,” Cas shouted, rushing after Vic as he headed to the bathroom.
“Double dibs.” Bane took off after them, leaving me with Hex.
I raised my brows at him.
“I’m not into toilet shenanigans,” he said.
“Are they…?” I asked. I had no idea what they did. I’d never seen them do anything with one another, but they talked about it a lot.
He shrugged. “I don’t know and don’t want to know. As long as no one gets crabs, then I don’t give a shit. They likely will find some groupie to blow them all.”
“Don’t you want to?”
He scoffed. “No. I don’t give blow jobs.”
I rolled my eyes at that. “That’s not what I meant. I meant, don’t you want to go with a groupie or whatever too.”
“Oh. No,” he grumbled. “I don’t want the chance to get crabs.”
I snickered at him. “Well, do you want some cookies? They left some in my room.”
He shrugged. “I guess.”
Hex was always so even. It was the only way to describe him. He rarely smiled and always seems annoyed by everything.
I believed deep down he didn’t really hate everything. He seemed passionate and misunderstood, and I liked his quiet side. He was comfortable hanging out with me because I didn’t feel like I needed to make small talk. He was fine to just be silent.
We went to my dressing room, and I saw a basket on the table labeled with my name.
I went to it and stared at the perfect wrapping paper.
“Weird,” I murmured.
“Who’s it from?” Hex asked, stepping up beside me.
“Says the venue.” I set the thank you card aside and tore into it.
And screamed, stumbling back. Hex caught me, but we both landed on the floor in a painful heap.
“Is-Is that a fucking head?” Hex choked out, clinging to me.
I buried my face in his neck as he held me against his body. I didn’t realize I was still screaming until Anson rushed in.
“What the fuck happened?” he shouted, going to his knees next to us.
“H-Head. There’s a fucking head,” Hex managed to say, pointing where the head sat in the basket.
“What the fuck….” He pulled me away from Hex and buried my face in his chest. “LeeLee. Hey. Hey. Look at me.”
He forced me to stare into his eyes. “Hey. Focus. Your voice. Please. Please. Are you OK?”
“Ani… Ani…”
He tugged me back against him as more people poured into the room. I heard gagging. Shouts.
Anson lifted me into his arms, Hex coming with us, as Anson carried me from the room.
“Ryder, we need the police. Get people out of there. Don’t let anyone touch anything,” Anson said.
“What’s going on?” Ryder asked.
“There’s a severed head in the room.”
“What? A head? Whose head?” Trent asked.
“Just get the cops. I’m taking Rosalie out of here.”
We were moving again, and I could hear people shrieking in the distance.
Within moments, we were in the back of the SUV and roaring off to the hotel. Hex had left us to get the guys, so it was just Ani and me.
“I-I can’t breathe,” I choked out. “Ani… I-I can’t. I can’t…”
“Shh, shh, baby,” he coaxed, reaching into his pocket. He pushed a sour candy against my lips, and I accepted it, the blast of sour forcing me to focus on it inside the madness happening around me.
We’d only just overcome the heart being delivered and the news on that. Now this? We’d made a huge donation to the family to help cover funeral costs, and Anson was quick to set up a music scholarship fund in Casey’s name.
“I-I thought this was over. I thought it was over,” I sobbed.
“Come here.” Anson hugged me fiercely as he pulled his phone out. “Klaus, get Evan.”
He was calling home.
This was quickly becoming my new nightmare.
