Chapter 10 Hangovers Suck

-Drew-

***

Meg looks worried and keeps checking the clock as we head in the direction of town.

I feel bad—I should have asked her when she needed to be home when I’d asked for the ride.

Trying to lighten the mood, I break the silence, “So, is this a good time to tell you, I have no idea how to get home?” My comment does what I had intended: it gets her to laugh.

She has a nice laugh, and I enjoy that I was able to give her a moment to relax.

I know she is worried about the consequences of staying out late.

“Well, it’s lucky for you that I know where you live,” she responds.

We share a smile and a comfortable silence as music plays in the background for the remaining trip to my house.

She pulls up in front of my house, and I open the door to get out quickly, knowing that she’s already way past her curfew. I’ve had fun with Meg tonight.

She isn’t the girl I had hoped to hang out with, but I’m glad she is the one that I did.

I turn towards her. “Thanks for the ride, I had fun tonight. Any chance I can get your number?” I must have said the right thing because she smiles, holding out her hand.

I unlock my phone and hand it over. She opens the texting app, typing in a number.

She hits the send button, and I can hear the ding from her phone as it lights up.

She does something else on my phone before closing the app and handing it back to me.

“I had a great time, Drew. Now get out of my car, I’m already so late.

” I can’t help but laugh and step out of the car.

I shut the door, and she is already down the road before I make it to the front door.

I head up to my room. Mom and Dad really haven’t enforced curfew, so I’m not worried about the time, but I do try to be quiet as I make it down the hall.

When I get to my room, I flop onto my bed.

I start to scroll through some apps when I remember that I need to save Meg’s number on my phone.

I open the text app and see the message she sent to herself from my phone.

Drew

Hey hottie, this is Drew Davis

That is the message she sent herself from my phone.

I laugh. Meg is just the right amount of confident.

Then I go to edit the number and laugh out loud again.

She has saved her name into my phone as “Meg with the Nice Ass.” I mean, she does have a nice one, I’m not arguing that point at all.

I don’t normally save girls in my phone with the description of their bodies, but in this case, I wasn’t the one to write it, so I figure it’s ok to leave it like it is. Before I leave the app, I text back.

Drew

I hope you made it home safe…

Meg with the nice ass

My phone pings back quickly.

Meg with the Nice Ass

LOL, I did

My Mom gave me a warning for missing curfew

If it makes you feel better, you’re Drew with the abs in my phone

Drew

Yes, it does make me feel better

I work hard for these abs thank you!

Meg with the Nice Ass

I bet you do! Good night Mr. Abs

Drew

Goodnight nice ass

I plug my phone in and pass out. The next thing I know, the sun is coming through my window, and I feel like death. I remember that I drank way too much last night. I spend most of the weekend hanging out around the house and maybe working on my abs.
