Chapter 35
EM
“Mm.”
I woke up with soft kisses along my collarbone. The kisses moved up my jaw, then over my neck and down my chest. Goose bumps broke out over my skin, and I rocked against the sheets. Warmth flooded me as Noah leaned over me, grazing over my nipples with his teeth.
“Fuck, Em. You’re stunning.” He cupped my breasts, licking and teasing them as he groaned against me. “Every part of you is perfect.”
“This is a way to wake up,” I mumbled, my voice filled with sleep. It turned into a moan though when he took one nipple and sucked it to a beaded point. “Oh, yes, that feels good.”
“I like making you feel good. I want all your moans and orgasms.” Noah flashed me a quick grin as he kissed down my stomach. “Missed you like this.”
“I was gone one night,” I teased, arching my hips up as he stopped between my thighs. I gasped when he spread my legs wide and bent down, blowing on my sensitive skin with that wicked grin. My entire body blushed from the look on his eyes, and I swallowed, hard.
“Did you ever think that I’m punishing you for that? Leaving me for one night?” He ran his tongue over my slit, dragging it lazily back and forth, then stopping. “I’m gonna lick you until you’re dripping all over me, then I might stop.”
“No, you wouldn’t,” I groaned as the pleasure built from his mouth. “I-I, shit, this feels so good. I need more.”
“You’ll get it when I’m ready. I’m enjoying your pussy a little more.”
I shuddered. Dirty-talking Noah was a new favorite and damn. There was something so hot about seeing his broad shoulders and messy brown hair between my legs. “You’re just unreal.”
“If you can speak in full sentences, I’m not doing my job, baby.
Lay back and let me love you with my mouth.
” Then, he stopped teasing me. He sucked my clit hard, applying pressure as he slid two fingers into me.
My body overheated, and my legs thrashed.
The orgasm was right there. Just a little more.
He kept at it, sucking and teasing and thrusting as I moaned loud.
“Noah, yes, please!”
“Now,” he said, pulling back and stroking his cock twice before placing one hand under my hip, and he arched me up before sliding right into me. “Come on my cock. I want to feel you. I need to feel you, baby.”
“Shit, yes, yes, yes.” I squeezed my eyes shut as he thrust and hit me in the right spot, where the orgasm exploded out of me. “Noah!”
“That’s right, ride it out. Come on me. Let me feel you.
” He kissed my neck, bracing his weight on either side of me as he continued his thrusting as I came hard.
My heart raced as sweat pooled over my body, the sound of our legs brushing the sheets barely heard over his breathing.
I barely caught my breath as Noah lifted one of my arms up, intertwining our fingers as he slowed down.
“Hey,” he said, softer.
I opened my eyes, my face flushed and lips parted from the orgasm. I stared up at him, overcome with the emotion on his face. “H-hi.”
“I fucking love your stutter when you’re overwhelmed. I love the color of your eyes in the morning. They’re so blue, like the sky in the middle of a Chicago summer. I love you so much, Em. Every part of you. That’s all I want to do—just love you. Let me love you, okay?’
My eyes prickled as I nodded, heat growing in my gut as he continued his slow, agonizing pace of thrusting into me. “Noah, you’re…I love you too.”
He smiled, bent down, and kissed me slowly.
He tasted like me, musk and pleasure and salt.
He groaned into my mouth, and I nipped his lip, earning a deep grumble from his chest. I ran my hands over his chest, back, needing to feel more of him.
I wrapped my legs around his waist, arching my hips up to take him deeper.
He thrust slower but harder, and we kept like that.
Him kissing me, no space between our skin, sweat dripping down our chests. There was no rush, just enjoyment.
“I love you so much, Noah,” I whispered into his ear, my eyes prickling from the tender way he touched me, from the gentle way he loved me like this. “I’m staying here. With you. And Miles. I’m never leaving, okay?”
He shuddered, just from my words, and I kissed him again.
I had to. And it didn’t take long before a second orgasm built.
It started slow, deeper, achier, then spread through my limbs as I put everything into the kiss.
I moaned, hard, and Noah kissed it right out of my mouth, his own body tightening as he, too, came.
“Fuck, Em, that was…wow.” He kissed my cheek, chest, then rolled off me and lay to my left.
“Yes, wow,” I said, giggling as I curled into him.
“Wait, let me clean you up first.” He quickly got out of bed and brought out a warm towel to clean up the mess between my thighs.
Instead of being shy, I smiled while he was so gentle with me.
He tossed the towel in a hamper and tossed me one of his T-shirts.
“Hey, put this on because Miles will be in here soon, I’m sure. ”
I slid into his shirt, grinning like a fool when he handed me my glasses from the nightstand.
“Why the grin?” He slid on some joggers, running a hand through his hair as he smiled at me too.
“You amaze me.” I stood on my knees and crawled to him, moving to sit on his lap to cup his face. “You truly amaze me. You are the most thoughtful, wonderful, selfless person I’ve ever met, and I’m gonna make sure you know how great you are. I’m gonna tell you all the time. Literally every day.”
“Yeah?” His grin grew, and his eyes danced with amusement. “Every day, huh?”
I nodded and took his hand in mine. I kissed the back of it, loving how it made him blush. “I meant what I said. We’re a team now. As long as you have me. I’m staying.”
He sucked in a breath and nodded, resting his forehead against mine. “I might need you to tell me that every day for a little bit.”
“I will, I promise. I know I hurt you—us—but me leaving was never about my feelings, Noah. It was about—”
“Sassy slept with me! Uncle Miles! Uncle Miles! Sassy slept with me all night again!” Miles burst into the room wearing Batman pajamas and holding an octopus stuffie, his eyes wide with joy. “Em! Em! Can you believe Sassy slept with me? She loves me!”
Miles launched himself at the bed like it was a trampoline, octopus clutched tight in one arm as Sassy skidded in behind him, tail wagging so hard her whole back end wiggled.
“Whoa,” Noah laughed, catching him around the middle before he could faceplant. “Morning, Bat Kid.”
Miles barely acknowledged him. His eyes were locked on me, wide and hopeful and a little bit scared, like he wasn’t totally sure this was real yet. He scrambled out of Noah’s arms and crawled across the mattress until he was right in front of me
“Don’t leave again, Ms. Em,” he said, pressing his hands flat against my knees like he needed proof. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too, kiddo,” I said softly. I reached out and brushed his hair back from his forehead, my fingers gentle and steady. “I’m not going anywhere.”
His lip trembled for half a second before he caught it, trying to be brave in that way kids did when they’d already been hurt once and didn’t want to be again.
Then he leaned forward and wrapped his arms around my neck, squeezing hard.
He cried when I came back last night, and I had too. Then it was all laughter and hugs.
“Your breath smells,” he whispered, then pausing. “Is that okay to tell you?”
Noah and I burst out laughing. I covered my mouth with my hand, jumping out of bed. “Wow, kid. Thanks for that.”
“Where are you going?” Noah asked, his sleepy voice filled with amusement.
“To brush my teeth!”
“It’s okay. I still love you Aunt Em, even if your breath stinks.”
“Miles!” My face heated with embarrassment as I ran to the bathroom and brushed my teeth like crazy.
Kids were too honest sometimes, but damnit.
Miles was the best, and I crawled back into bed, nuzzling him and placing a kiss on his head.
“Thanks for letting me know. Teeth health is very important.”
“I know, Em. I brush my teeth two times a day.”
Noah met my gaze, his warm and soft and adoring, and I smiled back.
Miles wedged himself between me and Noah like it was the most natural place in the world, octopus tucked under his chin, Sassy pressed against his legs. Noah wrapped an arm around both of us, pulling us in without thinking.
For a moment, none of us spoke.
The morning light spilled in through the window, warm and soft, catching on the edges of the room like it was blessing it. Miles yawned dramatically, then rested his head against my arm, already relaxing.
“We’re a team,” he mumbled sleepily.
I looked up at Noah, who was already looking at me, something deep and quiet and certain in his eyes.
“Yeah,” I said softly, pressing a kiss to the top of Miles’s head. “We are.”
