Omegas go into heat once or twice a year depending on the individual. Knotting and bonding only occur within the confines of an omega’s heat. All omegas, regardless of sex or gender, can be impregnated. There is no pregnancy in this book, but there are mentions of potential and future pregnancy.

Alphas only go into a rut (similar to an omega’s heat) if they are in the presence of their bonded omega. If the alpha isn’t bonded, they don’t experience rut. All alphas, regardless of their sex or gender, are able to impregnate.

Bonding is a permanent and irrevocable two-way (usually consensual) connection that involves the individuals biting on the scent gland (throat, wrists, and thighs) of the other hard enough to break the skin. Only one bond per scent gland, so biting over an existing bond mark wouldn’t trigger a bond so long as the original bondmate is alive. Bonding makes the individuals more in tune to the people they are bonded to, and it is functionally the same as a marriage in this omegaverse.

Healthcare and birth control are readily accessible to everyone regardless of dynamic, sex, or gender. Heat leave is provided to omegas and their partners as needed. This world is still learning things about the dynamics, bonds, and other unique things that affect the inhabitants of this omegaverse.

What’s the difference between Sidney amp; Allie vs the First Heat novellas?

Sidney amp; Allie has nearly 60k words of new content, plus significant revisions to help it match the Heats amp; Hearts Series. Samp;A is first person dual POV so you get both Sidney amp; Allie POVs through the entire story compared to the single POV and third person narrative of the novellas.

When I wrote First Heat I had no idea it would become a series or that said series would launch a whole world full of characters that would be getting their own stories. Since all of the other stories in this world thus far are all first person POV novels, I wanted to get the First Heat stories to match the rest of the series.
