Chapter 28
We step through the entrance.
I instantly go on the search for my woman.
I notice the guy Daren, I think his name was, working alongside another woman I’ve never seen before.
He sees me giving me a head nod, then I watch as his guys jerk towards the dancefloor.
I follow his gaze and there she is. Her body is moving naturally to the beat, her hands roaming her body, her hips and ass move in perfect rhythm almost drawing me in a trance.
“You go handle that. I’m going to go get a drink,”
Aaron suggests, before making his way to the bar.
I grunt in agreement and begin making my way across the floor.
I’m right behind her in less than a few strides.
I see when she goes to turn her body around, but my body blocks her from turning, forcing her back to my chest. Taking my arm around her waist, I bind her to me, bending my head down to speak in her ear.
“You’ve been a very bad girl, Cea.”
I see the hairs on her neck stand up, her body going rigid. I loosen my arm, allowing her to turn to face me. Her breath hitches, her face turning into a full-on glare.
“What the hell are you doing here?”
she snarls.
I narrow my eyes. “I told you not to leave the house without me.”
“Ha. It’s really funny you think you’re my daddy or something and can tell me what the hell to do. News flash. You are not and you can’t.”
She goes to pass me but I don’t let her get far, snatching her arm in my grip, pulling her back to me.
“Oh Mama, I think we both know I’m your Daddy in all the best ways you can imagine. Why don’t you be a good girl, come home with us, and maybe I won’t punish you too hard when we get back.”
My voice is low. The sign of her eyes darkening and lips parting tells me my words had the effect, but she quickly yanks her arm back, a snarl on her face.
“You really are fucking stupid if you think I’m going anywhere with you. I came to have fun, and that's exactly what I plan to do.”
I nod. “Okay. Have it your way Mi Cielo.”
I head to the bar, leaving Cea standing where she is. If she wants to play dirty, I can play dirtier. I sit next to Aaron talking to Daren.
“Hey bro, how’s it going? What can I get you?”
Daren asks, a friendly smile on his face.
“Hey man, yeah, I’m good. Let me get a double shot of whiskey,”
I say, placing a twenty-dollar bill in front of me.
“Sure thing. Coming right up.”
“We have our hands full,”
Aaron mumbles, looking back over his shoulder at trouble herself.
“Fuck, don’t I know it.”
A small smile graces my lips.
We’ve been sitting here for almost an hour. Cea has danced her ass off, running back and forth for shots of whiskey, downing them one after the other. There’s something hot about a woman that can handle her liquor and shoot it straight. The band comes to a close with their last song, giving a farewell to the bar and loading their equipment up.
The last word hadn’t even left the lead singer's mouth, before Cea was at the jukebox turning on “S.O.S.”
by Tesla. She whips her head back and forth, hey body jumping up and down, dancing with the music.
I give Aaron a kiss, then call Daren over again, for another whiskey. He quickly whips it up, then brings it to me.
“Shit,”
he hisses.
“What’s up?”
I ask, frowning while trying to hand him another bill.
He waves off my money, refusing to take it.
“Ya know what, this ones on me.”
My face scrunches in confusion and I notice his eyes keep darting over my shoulder at something. I turn around to look and immediately my blood boils. All I see is red. My body is a fountain of rage and I’m about to flood everyone in it.
I watch as the lead singer marches up to my woman, talking to her. His teeth are perfectly straight and I’d love nothing more than to go break all of them, make him swallow each and every one.
Cea’s hand squeezes his bicep, laughing loudly at something he said. Nothing that came out of his mouth could have been that damn funny. If she wants to laugh so damn bad, I’ll take her to see a fucking comedian. Fuck! Cea narrows her eyes my way, then focuses back on Jackass’ face, stepping on her tiptoes to whisper in his ear.
I squeeze the glass of whiskey in my hand, the sound of a crack enters my ears.
“Woah babe don’t get worked up. She’s drunk and just trying to piss you off. You acting like a jealous, raging asshole will do more harm than good,”
Aaron argues, his hand on my shoulder gives me a reassuring squeeze,
I bite my bottom lip, then bring the whiskey to my mouth, throwing the whole thing back, sitting the glass back down.
“You know what you’re right,” I agree.
“What? Seriously?”
Aaron asks, astonished.
“Yep. I'm chill.”
I turn back around, stealing his beer. Let her have her fun, because when we get home she’s going to reap what she sews.
I sit at the bar, nursing the rest of Aaron’s drink, before demanding another. Something has got to dull the need for violence before I lose all sense of self control. Rolling my head, trying to pop my neck, I’m startled when I feel a gentle touch rub up my arm. My heart rate picks up, only to fall when I turn to see it’s another woman.
She stands around five foot five, her wavy auburn hair hanging almost to her waist, green eyes staring back at me.
“Can I help you?”
I ask, observing her swaying figure. She’s wearing a black halter top dress that hugs every curve nicely, molding to her breast perfectly, giving an amazing view.
“I’m Ashlyn,”
she says, holding out a hand nearly falling into me.
“I’m Blaze,”
I reply, taking her hand in mine.
My brow quirks, waiting for her to get to the point.
“I just couldn’t help but notice you sitting over here and was wondering if I could come keep you company?”
Any other time I would probably oblige. This woman is drop dead beautiful and would at least curb my appetite for a little while. But after what Aaron and I just went through, the pain I caused him. Cea and him have my heart, and I doubt I could get it up for anybody that isn’t them.
I glance over and see Cea purposefully falling into the jackass, staring straight at me. I’ll fucking kill him and her for doing this in front of Aaron. I mark that on my to-do list for later, giving my attention back to Ashlyn who pushes her way between my legs.
“Blaze, we need to get her some water and a seat? Not piss off Cea,”
Aaron hisses.
“She just wants to keep us company…isn’t that right, beautiful?”
Ashlyn nods her head, resting her hand on my thigh.
Aaron shakes his head, disapproval in his eyes.
“This is going to end in disaster,”
he grumbles, throwing his new drink back.
“Maybe it is, but I don’t give a damn at the moment.”
Let’s see your next move, Mi Cielo.
