Chapter 30

She’s beautiful. A work of art. Simply a masterpiece. I could have stopped her, hell I probably should have. I couldn’t though. I was in a trance, watching her destroy something she thought threatened her claim. Goddamn I love this woman.

“Do you want to start or shall I?”

she asks, the bat still in her grip.

A smart man would probably be nervous, especially after just watching her kill someone, but I never claimed to be smart.

“Why don’t you go ahead Mama.”

I place my hands in my pocket, waiting for her to begin.

“Okay. Why the hell did you tattoo my ass? Especially after that heart to heart we had? Are you fucking crazy?”

“Only for you, baby.” I smirk.

“This isn’t a joke, Blaze. You drive me fucking nuts. A few weeks of knowing you and you have me acting out of my damn mind!”

She’s pacing now. I can see the worry and confusion coating her body.

“I’m not joking

She stops mid-pace, whipping around and coming up to me.

“You had no right to fucking mark my body like I was something to claim! Especially without asking me first.”

I nod, letting her words soak in.

“You’re right. I should’ve asked, but if you think for one damn minute I can’t claim you, then you're wrong. I claimed you the first time I laid eyes on you baby. In fact, I think I’ve made it repeatedly clear on how much you were mine,”

I growl. Not you or any other motherfucker in this world can change that.”

“Blaze this is crazy. This will never work. You hardly know me. You can’t possibly think this could go anywhere. I’m a mess. My life is currently on a downhill spiral, I don’t open up to anyone, which means I never let anyone in.”

She lets out a sigh, her face looking defeated. “I’m hard to love. I’m a bitch. We’ll probably fight every other day, if not every day. I mean look at me?” she says, throwing her arms in an outward motion toward her blood covered body. “I just killed someone for touching you. Touching you Blaze! Let’s just finish this job and call it quits.” Her words end in a whisper, tears forming in her eyes, one already falling over, making its escape down her cheek.

“You think I can’t handle you baby? You think you’re too much for me? You think all of that sass and fiery attitude you throw my way is just gonna push me off course? Maybe I’ll give up on this, get tired of trying to break your walls down and move on?”

She shrugs. “No. That’s not what’s gonna happen. When I want something, I put all of my willpower, heart, and soul into it.”

I walk to her, grabbing her by the back of the neck, pulling her into me. “Know this is true when I tell you…You’re mine Cea. I will knock down that concrete wall you’ve built little by little until it’s all crumbled to dust and the only thing left for you to see is me. I will own you completely and irrevocably. Your body, mind, heart, soul…mine. This pussy…”

I slide my free hand down, cupping her heat, “Mine. Nothing and no one will ever change that. I knew it from the first moment I laid eyes on you, and I’ll be damned if anything stops me from taking what I want.”

Her lips part, multiple tears racing down her face now.

“I love you, Mi Cielo. You might think it’s too soon, but I’ve learned not to waste a second. When you know, you know. You don’t have to say it back today, tomorrow, hell even next month. But you will say it one day Cea and when that day comes, I'm going to show you what it’s really like to be in love and worshipped like the goddamn queen you are.”

I slam my lips onto her, instantly taking control. Our tongues dance together, our passion, desire, lust filled in every ounce. My hand moves back up her body, getting her throat in a chokehold.

“Mine,”

I growl between kisses.

“Yours,”

Cea whispers, her mouth still slightly touching mine.

I tug her in my arms, holding her close.

“I can’t promise to always be perfect, but I can always promise to love you with every part of me, even the deepest, darkest pieces of my soul. I’m yours just as much as you're mine.”

I hear Cea sniffle, feel her nod under my chin. She has her arms wrapped around me as we stand there for a few moments, soaking in the moment we just had.

Cea leans back to look up at me.

“I hate to ruin the moment, but uhh…what are we going to do about the dead body? And what do we tell Aaron?”

she asks, causing me to shift my attention to a dead Ashlyn.

I let out a sigh, “Don’t worry Mama, I’ll have it taken care of. Go in and have Aaron give you a ride home. If he asks about the blood, just don’t say anything. But he probably won’t.”

She falters, breath hitching. “Aaron. What will he say when he finds out. What if he runs.”

Pulling her close again, I rub my hand on her back. “It’s ok Mi Cielo. He knows enough for now, but eventually we will tell him together.”

“But—”

“No. Everything will be all right. Trust me and go have some fun with Aaron.”

Cea gives me a pointed look.

“Please,”

I pout and a smile breaks out on her face.

“Okay, be careful,”

she says, placing a kiss on my lips one last time, putting my keys to the Jeep in my hand.

Cea enters the building and I jog to get my vehicle. Once I bring the Jeep to the back alley, I stand over Ashlyn’s dead body.

“Let's get you buried. I hope your afterlife is a hell of a lot better than how it ended here.”
