Chapter 11 Lu Xiao’s Collapse
Shen Yining has no choice left.
She forces a smile and mumbles softly.
"Miss Su, sorry... My mouth was foul earlier. I apologize to you. You are older than me. Don't lower yourself to my level."
I lift my eyelids slightly and stay silent.
The Director shoots Shen Yining a dissatisfied glance full of warning. Impatience shows on his face.
Shen Yining shudders in fear.
She no longer cares about dignity or pride.
She raises her palm and slaps herself.
"Miss Su, I really know I was wrong. I won't dare anymore. I will punish myself with slaps. Please calm your anger."

The Director smiles with satisfaction and asks me awkwardly.
"Miss Su, what do you think..."
I glance lightly at the two of them.
I turn and walk away.
I don't know how long Shen Yining keeps slapping herself.
I only hear that she stays in the Director's room that night to discuss the script.
She secures an added role. Once the crew realizes I cannot be pushed, expenses never dare cross the line again.
They rush and finally finish filming. The broadcast turns out well.
My boss earns plenty. I gain even more trust from my boss and become the fixed Investor Representative my boss always sends for investments.
In the office.
My boss struggles between two options and seeks my opinion.
"One has high buzz and traffic with Lu Xiao leading. Fans guarantee the ratings."
"The other features a former child star who spent years honing real acting skills. Quality is assured."
"Which to invest in? Such a headache."
When it reaches me, I speak directly without hesitation.
"I prefer the quality one."
My boss grits his teeth and decides.

"By the way, it exposes dark histories of several actresses linked to Lu Xiao. One named Shen Yining who always discusses scripts with the Director late at night is now fully banned too."
