Chapter 16 Rayna
Rayna
Koby draws his fingers out of his mouth. It’s obscene how hot that is. It shouldn’t be so hot. All I can think about is his tongue against his fingers, tasting me. And how good his tongue would feel where his fingers just were.
“I’ll let you know, Rookie.” Smashing my lips against his. Pushing my tongue against his lips that open wide for me, tasting myself. Our tongues entwine with each other as Koby snakes his arms around me, and grips me close.
We cool down as quickly as we started up and break apart.
“Can I do anything for you?” I ask as I rub up against his cock. His undeniably hard cock.
“No. I want tonight to be about you. Plus, I enjoyed watching you. So fucking sexy.” He brushes some of the tousled hair out of my face, kissing me chastely.
Smiling, my mind starts to race on all the ways I could draw pleasure from him, only to be spoiled with a massive yawn I try to stifle.
“Okay, time for bed.” He rolls off the bed and extends a hand down to help me up to lying in the bed the right way.
He sits on the bed, taking my hand in his.
“This is not where I thought the night would end when I got up yesterday morning,” he exclaims, bringing my hand up to his and kissing the back of it, my palm, my wrist. “But I wouldn’t change it for the world.
” He leans down and kisses me deeply again, and I struggle to keep my hands from dragging him down to lie on the bed.
“Definitely not what I was expecting too.”
“But…”
“But happy.”
“I’m really glad to hear that.” Grasping my head in his hands, he kisses me again.
“Okay, I’ll let you get to sleep. Good night.”
“Good night.”
He reluctantly stands up, still staring at me. I raise myself up on my elbows. Smiling at him heading out and closing my door, and I silently exhale. What a fucking day!
Checking the time: 1:00 a.m. I laugh and shake my head to myself. Making out for hours like a pair of teens.
Crawling further into bed, I can’t wipe the smile off my face.
Despite being in bed after one a.m., I’m up at seven a.m. and feeling surprisingly refreshed, i.e. not as sweaty overnight as I normally am.
Stepping into the shower, the water feels like bliss against my skin. I feel like I’m feeling things for the first time. The scents in the bathroom from my body wash and scrubs are stronger. Mixing and fighting for dominance.
Oh, calm down, Rayna. You orgasmed six hours ago and you’re probably sleep deprived.
I roll my eyes at myself and finish up in the shower.
Picking up my phone to take downstairs, it buzzes in my hand.
Morning, beautiful. Aria’s just left for a few hours. Breakfast is ready whenever you are. xo
My heart swells, and I stand a little taller at the message. I can’t wipe the smile from my face.
Descending the stairs, I’m greeted by the usual sight. Koby, in my kitchen. Making breakfast and coffee.
But now I’m able to do what I have been wishing I could do for the last few weeks.
He sees me and outstretches his arms, and I fall into them. Enjoy the strong embrace as his arms wrap tightly around me. Lifting my head, he dips his head down to brush his lips against mine.
“Good morning,” I purr.
“It certainly is.”
“How did you sleep?”
“Very well. You?”
“Solidly. Woke up very refreshed and relaxed.”
“I’m glad.” He kisses me again. “My impeccably timed breakfast is ready. As always.”
“Mmmm. I’m kinda enjoying this right now.”
Abruptly, he lifts me up and sets me on the edge of the kitchen island. The movement bumps a plate, and it shimmies on the counter. Threatening to spill its contents. The ceramic whirling sound reverberates through the kitchen. But I don’t care. Let it smash to the floor. My eyes are on Koby.
His eyes darken as his hands dig into my thighs.
Pulling himself into the space between my legs.
My hands gripping his broad shoulders, the angle positions our heads at the same height.
One of his hands trails up from my thighs to my jaw, and he slams his mouth on mine.
My greedy mouth opens, allowing his tongue to invade my mouth.
His unrelenting hold on me, tantalising.
Addictive as I soar higher into the heady feeling.
If this is how he handles me now, I’m looking forward to being manhandled some more later.
Breaking away, he rests his forehead on mine. “Hope you enjoyed that too.”
“Absolutely.”
He lowers me down as easily as he placed me there, and I'm grateful I didn’t have to attempt to ungracefully slide down myself. But wow. I kind of swooned at him just hoisting me up and down.
He hands me a plate and a coffee mug and waves me over to the dining table.
I settle at the table, waiting for him to sit with me.
He brings his plate and mug to assume his regular seat opposite me, and we start eating.
“Didn’t lose anything?”
“Not a thing.”
“Wonderful.”
“I’m thinking of heading to the beach today. Aria had a catch up with a friend planned. If you wanted to come with?”
“Surfing?”
“Nah. Just want to hang with you. Maybe get you in the water again. No almost drowning this time, please.”
“I will do my best.” I remember. “Oh! I have to be back by two. I have the caterer coming around to finalise Christmas lunch.”
“We can do that.”
“Did you give Aria your keys?”
“Yeah, figured I would be glued to you when she wasn’t here.” He pops the last mouthful of food into his mouth and winks at me deviously.
Don’t forget to breathe, Ray.
We finish breakfast, and Koby sends me to my room to get changed and collect my things.
It’s December, so it’s going to be hot. Definitely want to have a dip while we are there.
I’ve bought some swimmers that cover me completely, and I feel so comfortable in them.
One-piece with shorts and sleeves that come down to my elbows.
I make sure to collect my eReader, and head down.
I grab the small pop up tent from the garage so I can read and not have the sun wash out the screen.
Starting the car while I wait for Koby, I press the button to open the garage door. He rounds the corner and jumps into the car.
“It’s early enough. Do you want to go to Bronte, and check into the house on the way home?”
“Not at all. Liam has everything organised. He’s been keeping me updated every other day, and I have a site visit scheduled with him in a week. Let’s just go to Coogee and enjoy it. No agendas to tick off.”
The drive to the beach is divine. Koby’s hand stays on my thigh as we chat comfortably. As he normally does, he carries everything to the sand, but holds my hand as we walk.
I set up the pop up tent on the sand, but it’s a deliciously tight fit as we lie on our backs, arms stacked on each other. Koby’s wide shoulders strain the nylon wall on his side, and my shoulder skims the wall on my side.
My eReader raised overhead as my legs warm in the morning sun, Koby on his phone. After a few chapters, I’m getting up to a spicy part of my book. This is when Koby’s eyes drift to my screen.
“And what are we reading here, Raven?” He wiggles closer to me to get a better angle.
“Just my book.” I’ve finished the page, and of all the pages, he did pick a good spicy scene to lay his eyes on.
It’s the start, and while it’s not a super-dark romance scene, it is a scene that is a little rough.
Hands around necks, dominating, being told what to do and then being called a ‘Good Girl’. Tick, tick, double tick.
“Mmm-hmmm,” He replies. “Do you like to only read it like this or enjoy it in the bedroom?”
I was not expecting him to be so forward and open.
I’m a little taken aback by his directness.
He moves himself to lie on his side facing me and snakes a hand across my waist. I wince a little at his hand touching my body through such thin material. Focus, I want to be as open as possible with him.
“Guess it’s something I have only read about at this point. I haven’t had the opportunity to be in a relationship to explore these. I know they aren’t new concepts, but this level, for me, needs to be with a partner I know and trust. I was probably not as confident to try at this level with Wes.”
My heart rate pummels inside my chest.
“So the other night when I put my hand around your neck was okay? What you would like?” He moves his hand up to my neck and gently runs his fingers across the skin.
Memories of that night flash through my mind. It really was perfect. He didn’t squeeze my neck too much, but the thrill of his hand around my neck, just holding something so delicate in hands so strong, was delicious and exactly what I was hoping it would feel like.
I nod. “It was okay. I did like your hand around my neck.”
He leans down to kiss me. My mouth instantly opens for his tongue. His hand stays loosely on my neck, and even that feels good.
When we break away, and in the spirit of being open, I ask, “What are you into?”
“I like to be dominant. Take care of my partner. But I’m all about communication.
I need to know what’s going on in and out of the bedroom.
If that’s something you’re willing to be a part of.
” He winks at me, and blood rushes to my crotch.
Yeah. I can get on board with this. That playful rider I met all those years ago is still there, after all these decades.
“Sure.”
“I need to cool off. Come with?”
Closing my eReader, I wave him out. No way we can both get out of this teeny, tiny tent at the same time.
He smirks and shimmies out very gracefully.
Extending his hand to help me up once I have placed our items in my bag and tucked them onto the tent at the back to avoid it moving too much while we’re not there weighting it down.
We don’t head out too deep and enjoy the cool water against our bodies. A welcome break from the hot December sun beating down on us. It’s humid, but the sea breeze doesn’t allow it to sit around too much. I feel so free. Holding his hand. In his embrace. Kissing between the waves.
Heading back to the house, I see a familiar car parked at the front of my terrace.
Exiting the garage, I embrace the tall, spectacularly gorgeous blonde woman waiting on the footpath.
“Bernie! How are you, lovely?”
“Argh, if people stop changing their entire Christmas orders so I can plan properly, it would be great!”
“Not asking for too much!”
Koby comes up behind me and stands by my side.
“Bernice, this is Koby. Koby, Bernice.”
She takes a pause and looks between the two of us before outstretching her hand to Koby. “Please, call me Bernie.”
“Nice to meet you, Bernie. Your meals are amazing.”
“I’m glad they have been able to be enjoyed. Do I need to double your order? Take into consideration new allergies?” She steals a cheeky glance my way.
I laugh but then realise. “Actually, yeah, that would be a good idea.”
We head in, Koby leading the way to call out, “I’m just going to jump into the shower. Won’t be too long.” And he dashes up the stairs.
Bernie, unable to contain herself before he has even made it up the stairs, laces her arm through mine and whispers closely, “You never mentioned you were seeing someone!”
“This is an old friend.” I palm off. “He needed somewhere to stay while his place was getting fixed up after some water damage.”
She looks at me unconvinced. “Mmmm-hmm. I’ll watch this space.” She beelines to the kitchen bench. “Now, let’s get this Christmas lunch worked out with your changes.”
We settle at the kitchen bench, and Bernie goes through her meal plans.
It’s something that could be done over email, but I like Bernie and insisted she come over when she was free.
Everything sounds perfect, so I give her the go ahead along with a final headcount.
Koby joins us and makes us coffee while she highlights some of her newer meals she is trialling, and we increase the order to accommodate Koby and Aria.
She leaves with her coffee half drunk, and her phone going off for her next client.
“You know we could just make meals here?” I broach after seeing Bernie off at the door and re-entering the lounge room, approaching Koby, who's now taken Bernie’s place at the bench, leaning against the marble to face me.
Standing in front of him, he sweeps some hair out of my face.
“Yeah, but I don’t want you to do anything out of the ordinary.”
“I’m already doing plenty out of the ordinary, Rookie.”
“Well, when you put it that way.” He chuffs with a small eye roll. I playfully bat his shoulder.
The sound of his phone ringing echoes from its spot behind us on the bench. He reaches over to grab his phone. Seeing who it is, he puts it on speaker and places it next to us on the bench.
“Leni! Thanks for returning my call. How are you going?”
“Hey, Kobs. Good, thanks. Just getting Christmas ready with the family. How are you going?”
Koby catches Leni up on Aria handling the enduro business with no hitch, his house hiccup and his change of Christmas plans.
“Rayna to the rescue. What a doll!”
“That she is.” He winks at me. “That brings me to calling you earlier. While I have been here, Rayna has presented me with a problem. She has a team manager over in rally who needs some support. Going through some personal issues and she wants to give him the time he needs to focus on that. Would you be interested in helping her out and stepping into that role in that capacity?”
“Wow, I am floored you thought of me, Koby.”
“You’re a great leader, and I think you’ll be a great fit for the team and role.”
She asks a few more questions before accepting the role.
“Thanks, Leni. I’ll organise things on this end and set up a group call with us all in the next week.”
“Sounds great. Thanks for thinking about me for the opportunity, Kobs.”
Koby hangs up and places his hands around my waist. “Sooooo, that’s more staff you are stealing from me. Whatever will you be able to do to repay the favour?”
He pulls me in even closer, our bodies pressing together, crashing his lips onto mine, and I’ve missed them on me. Consuming me. Drinking me in like I’m water and he is a thirsty, thirsty man. I’ll gladly be his sustenance.
