Chapter 15 Building Power
Four years passed quickly.
Wen Yu took over all of Grandpa's businesses and founded his own company.
I built my own forces too. I protected Wen Yu's surroundings airtight.
I didn't want Wen Yu working so hard.
I'd accompany him in business talks. If someone tried to bully him, I'd dig up all their dirty secrets privately and throw them in their face.
I had my own security company to protect his safety.
I had my own underground network to investigate for him, provide conveniences.
But what I loved most was messing with the Wen Family.
They wanted my heart—why should I let them live well?
I had to push them to the brink.
These years, when people mentioned Wen Yu, they praised how he had Grandpa's upright style, acting brightly and honorably.
When they mentioned me, they spat and frowned.
"That's a mad dog, biting anyone he sees."
"Good thing Wen Yu keeps him leashed."
I pulled Wen Yu into my arms.
I was taller, more solid, with healthy wheat-colored skin.
Wen Yu was still very pale, lips faintly pink. Because of his health, he stayed slim.
One hand cupped the back of his head to kiss his lips. The other hugged his waist.
Hormones surged, making my pants feel tight.
I didn't know what our relationship was.
Before ten, no one taught me right from wrong. I just survived.
After ten, I followed Wen Yu to the best schools.
After eighteen, Wen Yu became my teacher in that.
I fell asleep to his heartbeat.
I called this love.
I loved Wen Yu.
We kissed until we fell onto the bed. I left red marks on his snowy white neck and collarbone.
He bit the back of my neck.
His breath sprayed my ear.
"Xun Ye, let's try something else."
I swallowed, holding him close.
"No."
"The doctor said no intense exercise for you."
His pale fingertips hooked my pants. His eyes glistened. His brows carried heat, the tip of his tongue showing between his lips.
"Then..."
I grabbed his hand, fingers interlocking tightly.
"No, it's dirty."
I held him. My whole world was in my arms.
"Sleep."
I touched his forehead.
"We don't need to rush this. Not for a year or two."
Medical care worldwide was advancing. Lately, we'd invested heavily in it.
Wen Yu's condition improved. Last week, we hiked and watched the sunset together.
Wen Yu had asked the doctor when we could be intimate.
Why rush? We were already intimate.
Wen Yu fell asleep. I took a cold shower.
My temperature rose before I got under the covers to hold him as I slept.
