Chapter 17 The Trap
Wen Qi invited me to watch a show.
Wen Yu wanted to reassign the people I placed by his side.
Normally, I wouldn't agree.
But today.
Wen Qi popped champagne, grinning wide.
I said into the phone.
"Do as Wen Yu says."
Wen Yu reassigned my people, drove a car, and took the girl into a highly private hotel.
The hotel belonged to the Wen Group.
I watched as Wen Yu got out, they entered together, took the elevator.
Used the room card to open the door.
I took the glass Wen Qi offered and downed it hard.
Then crushed the glass.
Wen Qi's hand landed on my arm.
"The Wen Family isn't just Wen Yu. Xun Ye, don't you think I'm better looking than him?"
I turned and sized up Wen Qi carefully.
Wen Qi only resembled Wen Yu by five points. Their brows and eyes were totally different.
Wen Yu's face was cold when unsmiling, extraordinarily gentle when smiling.
Wen Qi's looked like the vixen's, full of allure, extra flashy.
Good-looking but tacky.
I gripped his neck, looking at him coldly.
"You're not fit to compare to Wen Yu."
No one matched Wen Yu.
His face reddened from lack of air, tears forming at his eyes.
"I've wanted to beat Wen Yu since we were kids, but I lose at everything."
"Especially brains."
Same surname Wen, but Wen Yu's businesses kept growing.
The Wen Family under Wen Qi.
Womanizing dad, gambling mom, stupid him.
Bankruptcy wasn't far.
I scoffed and shoved him away.
"Boring play's over."
Wen Qi clutched his neck, coughing, crawling up from the floor.
"Xun Ye, the game's just starting."
