MASSIMO

I woke up to soft kisses on my neck. My bare chest. My abdomen.

My fucking cock.

I snapped my eyes open and looked down at Misery servicing me. My breath caught in my chest at the sight. At the feeling I’d had a shit night, and this was exactly what I needed to be put into a better mood.

I’d gotten home last night to find her curled against Sever and Roe in Ren’s bed, him cuddled beside Roe.

Sever had whispered to me she was OK, and the joy I felt was otherworldly. Since there wasn’t enough room for me on the bed and I didn’t want to wake her, I went back to my room, telling myself I’d see her today.

It looked like she planned the same thing because here she was, sucking my cock.

“Fuck, little daffodil. You just made me excited to start the day.”

She sucked me deeper, making me groan and fist her mass of hair. I forced her deeper onto my dick, my heart fluttering at the intense pleasure.

“I don’t want to come in that pretty mouth. I want your pussy, baby,” I growled out, tugging her back to me. I helped her to straddle me, taking in her glorious naked body. She’d lost a lot of weight. I didn’t like that.

In fact, I hated it and almost made her stop so I could feed her. She seemed to sense my hesitation and thoughts because she sank onto my dick and captured my lips with hers.

That was it.

I was lost in everything that was her.

She rode me hard and fast, taking complete control. I was always in control, but I didn’t hate this. In fact, I rather liked watching the show she put on for me with her bouncing tits, soft cries, and wet pussy.

She came within moments, calling out my name, forcing me to follow her. I slammed her down hard on my cock, filling her pussy with my come.

Breathing hard, I brought her mouth back to mine and kissed her deeply.

“You fucked my brothers last night, didn’t you?” I asked, my lips brushing against hers.

“I did. I wished you were with us.”

“Yeah? You want us to all take turns on you?”

“Yes.” She nipped my bottom lip. “But I want to kill your father first.”

I stiffened beneath her and pulled away, hating she had that sort of violence in her mind. I’d already agreed with my brothers he had to go after what he’d had done to her, but I didn’t want her involved. In fact, it was unlikely we’d succeed and at least one of us might even die. Everyone who tried to kill him had died. The man was untouchable.

“Don’t say such ugly words,” I murmured.

“You taught me how to kill. Remember?”

“I did, but not him. We will handle it. OK?”

She studied me for a moment before sighing and giving me a slight nod. I smiled at her compliance before I pulled her down and onto her back. She let out a laugh right before I speared her with my dick again. She arched against my body, my name on her lips.

“I love it when you laugh,” I said, stilling inside her.

She smiled up at me and brushed her fingers lightly against my lips.

“But I love it when you scream.” I pulled out and shoved back in, earning the noise from her I craved.

And I continued to fuck the screams from her body until they finally faded into soft whispers.

I love you.

I’ll save you.

I swear it.

I’ll give you freedom.

And every bit of them was the truth.

“So what’s the plan?” Roe looked at me from his seat on the couch as I stared into the flames in the fireplace.

“He’s never alone,” I murmured.

“Then let’s set his whole fucking place on fire. Shoot anyone who tries to leave,” Sever said fiercely, his blue eyes flashing.

Ren nodded from his spot next to Roe.

“That could work,” Ren said.

I sighed and shook my head. “How would the fire get set? Short of literally just dropping a bomb on it I don’t see it as a possibility.”

I rubbed my eyes. We’d been back and forth on this shit for three weeks now. I’d spent the most incredible day with Misery, and all I wanted to do now was to deliver on the promises I’d made her. Knowing she was upstairs sleeping in my bed only made me want it that much more.

“We need to figure something out,” Roe said, the frustration evident on his face. “I’ll walk in there with a fucking bomb strapped to my chest and die if it means he goes with me and Misery is safe.”

“Arianna,” Sever murmured. “That’s her name.”

“I know what her name is,” Roe muttered. “Asshole.”

“Then we need to call her that,” Sever pressed.

“She’s miserable as long as she has to live this way.” Ren tugged at his hair. “And that’s beside the point. Let’s focus on one thing at a time, OK? Pretty sure killing this prick is first priority.”

I nodded in agreement. “We’re killers by nature. We can figure this out.”

Before the conversation could continue, the doorbell sounded. I frowned and pulled my phone up to look at the security cameras.

“Fuck,” I snarled, getting to my feet.

“What?” Roe and Ren demanded in unison.

“He’s here.” I didn’t need to say more. Sever was on his feet and pounding his way upstairs to my bedroom to remove Misery from there so Father didn’t see her comfortable.

I went to the door after shooting looks at the twins. Exhaling to calm myself, I pulled the door open to find our father standing on the stoop with six of his men.

“Father. I wasn’t expecting you.”

“That’s the point,” he said in a monotone.

I gave him a stiff smile and stepped aside to allow him entry. He stomped inside and went to the living room, his men with him.

I swallowed hard at the large metal container they had with them.

“Father,” Roe greeted him. “What a pleasant surprise.”

He was ignored while our father snapped his fingers at his men. Two disappeared upstairs while two more went into the kitchen only to return with pans of water. They began filling the metal container.

“How is your toy?” Father asked.

“Still alive,” I said, eyeing as they finished filling the container. There was enough water to drown someone. My stomach turned at that thought. I’d played this game before with people I wanted information from.

“For now.” Father looked passed us. I turned to see Misery being dragged into the room between two of his men, Sever following.

“What’s going on?” I demanded as the men threw her to the floor in her in front of the container. She wasn’t wearing the t-shirt. She had on panties and his oversized hoodie. Sever had tried to dress her. If I had to guess, he’d tried to get her to run but hadn’t made it that far.

“A lesson in lies,” was all he said before he tangled his fingers in her hair and tugging her head up. “Hello, pretty girl.”

She visibly shook beneath his stare, but much to her credit, she didn’t cry. I glanced quickly to my brothers who all wore the same worried expressions.

“I have ten men outside. Six in here with me. All have orders to kill anyone in this house who tries to interfere in what’s about to happen,” Father continued, staring down at her. I knew his words were more for our benefit than hers.

But the most important thing was he knew.

He fucking knew we loved her.

Love wasn’t allowed.

If we loved anything, ever, we were punished for it.

It had always been that way.

This time would be no exception.

Sever made to step forward. At the same time I grabbed his arm, Father spoke again.

“I find you the most loathsome of all my children. I would happily kill you first, Severo. Don’t give me the pleasure.”

I winced beneath his ugly words and held Sever’s trembling arm harder to prevent him from certain death.

Quickly, I shot a look to the twins to tell them to keep it together. For now, we had to focus.

“Father, what’s going on?” I called out.

“Don’t play stupid with me, Massimo.” Father glared at me as I stood across from him, the metal container between us. “We both know you’ve fallen for the whore. Tell me, which one did she ensnare first?”

I swallowed thickly, knowing he’d kill Sever on the spot.

“Me,” I said before Sever could speak up. He’d not kill me. I was his heir and probably the closest to him. At least I was the one invited to dine with him. That had to mean something.

Father raised a brow at me. “Massimo…”

“Father.”

He let out a sigh before he slammed Misery’s head against the edge of the metal container. She let out cry of pain as blood bloomed from the cut that appeared on the side of her head.

“Don’t,” I warned him. “Father. Please.”

“Why?” he asked.

“Because I do love her. I want to marry her.”

He let out a loud laugh before smashing her head against the container again. I stepped forward this time, ready to choke him to death, but I was seized from behind and brought to my knees.

“Here’s what’s going to happen. Mark here is going to beat you until the truth comes out. Very standard stuff. You know how it goes. And if you pass out, then I get to beat her. Easy, right?”

I didn’t get to answer because Mark’s fist met my face. And it didn’t stop. I took hit after hit, my ears ringing and my head spinning. I was always a fighter. I’d been raised to fight, training with the best of them. Getting hit was never a big deal to me because I could take a punch and keep on going. This was different. On repeat, I was beginning to struggle.

Blood trickled from my mouth and nose. My vision sparkled and dotted. My ribs screamed as his fist collided with them. Kicks. Punches. More kicks. I sagged forward, but two of the guys holding me forced me back up to take more of the beating. Misery cried for me. I saw my brothers having an internal fight with themselves over it.

I’d die for any of them.

Without question.

“Dunk him.”

I barely heard my father’s words before my head was submerged into the tub of water. I took the punishment, grateful for the short reprieve from being beaten. I’d learned to hold my breath a long time ago just for these moments. One never knew if they were to become a victim to the same torment we delivered.

I was pulled from the water, limp but alive, my lungs burning.

More fists. More kicks.

I wasn’t going to be able to take much more. My brothers knew I was doing this for them and if they spoke up, it would be in vain.

The issue was Misery.

Arianna.

My little daffodil.

What would happen to her in all of this? Punishment was on us, but to hurt us all, there was a common denominator.

Her.

We had nothing. Not one fucking plan. And none of us were armed. We’d taken it all off for the evening, hoping to retreat to my room after making her dinner and bringing it to her. We had plans with her for the evening.

My vision swam as I tried to stay conscious.

My chest burned with the knowledge I’d failed.

“I-I’m sorry. A-Arianna,” I choked out before the final hit connected with my head, knocking me out.
