Chapter 19 Daisy
Daisy
The guys returned to the cabin a few hours later. We’re going to spend some time together and maybe watch a few movies with takeout.
And I shaved my legs, too. I even scrubbed my skin and put on my cutest PJs. Since I don’t own a single sexy pair, I had to settle for my pink bunny set in the end. With the matching slippers.
I figured it could be some kind of inside joke, referencing the one who couldn’t be with us tonight—Rowan will be with us in spirit.
Still, the moment I open the door to let them inside, they freeze. My heart pounds. Maybe this was a mistake. Perhaps I should have answered the door in a lacy nightie, after all. The shame heats my cheeks.
That’s when Briar snorts. Ash follows suit, and now we’re all chuckling.
It’s odd. It honestly feels as if we have always been this close—that we have had this rich history all along. Even though we only just recently started dating, things come so naturally between us.
Conversation is not stilted or awkward.
Perhaps this is what it would have been like when we were back at school. Kyle and Natalie definitely wouldn’t have treated me with such animosity. They were just so busy hating themselves that they had to take it out on me.
Honestly, those two are the only people I am looking forward to seeing again. When they see me between Ash and Briar Thorn, they’ll be beside themselves with wonder—the former nerd with two of the coolest guys at school…
It all sounds so petty. We’re all adults now, but these kids terrorized me for three years. So, it’s time to get my personal revenge.
I step back, allowing them inside. “Love the PJs,” Briar remarks. “It looks like Rowan will be with us in spirit.”
That was exactly the same thought I had. We’re kind of in tune.
“I’ll order us pizza while you pick the movie, Bumblebee,” Ash says, getting his phone out. “What toppings?”
Would he think I was weird if I wanted pineapple? People tend to judge me when I say I actually like fruit on my pizza.
“Pineapple.”
Both Alphas freeze, looking up at me, confused. I suppose it’s moments like these when our lack of history becomes more pronounced.
If we had dated in school, perhaps they would have learned this about me much sooner.
Ash grins. “Pineapple it is.”
“Yeah, we like pineapple on pizza in this family,” Briar replies, settling down on the couch.
This family… Maybe one day, I can be a part of that family, too. Now we all settle in front of the TV as I pick our movie.
It’s a teen one from the nineties. “I love this one,” Ash gushes.
Briar snorts. “You like all the chick flicks.”
I peer at Ash. I’m learning some new things about these guys each day. “Me too. Especially this one. I… sort of relate to the main character.”
That’s because she’s the archetypal nerd.
Both Alphas turn silent at my declaration, and for all his teasing, it appears Briar is pretty aware of the plot of the movie.
The main character still got with the jock in the end, but the way the other kids treated her, it was rough.
The movie hasn’t even begun yet as Ash burns bright red, bowing his head. “We… never made you feel that way… right?”
I don’t respond. They never did. Not at first. At most, they just pretended I didn’t exist. The only time they hurt me was when they rejected me, but I’m trying to move on from that. We all are.
Briar sighs. “We’re still so sorry about that day, Daisy. We hope you can forgive us.”
I smile at the Alpha. In the end, I place a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it tightly. It looks like this one works out.
Finally, I play the movie.
We’re not even ten minutes in before Briar snorts. “Why does everyone look thirty?”
“Quiet,” Ash and I scold at the same time.
Briar rolls his eyes, keeping his gaze on the screen. He keeps giving opinions on the casting choices. “At least the main character looks like she still has ‘teen’ at the end of her age.”
“That’s because she was a teen. She was eighteen the year this came out, but she was probably still seventeen when it was still being filmed. The main guy was twenty-five.”
He chuckles. “Eighteen and twenty-five? That would not go down well today.”
“We said, quiet!”
Now Ash and I toss pillows at his head. He settles down and finally stops commenting on the cast.
The credits finally roll, yet our pizza still hasn’t arrived.
What is the holdup? We’re starving.
Ash grabs his phone. “I’ll call them. Maybe you could pick our next movie, Daisy.”
“So long as it’s not another ‘teen’ flick filled with twenty-five-year-olds, I’m satisfied,” Briar quips.
I give him a pointed look before I place the remote down. “No. I… would like to try something else.”
Ash is still busy checking up on our pizza. “Ugh, the delivery guy got lost. But… what?”
He peers up at me now. They both do. Like meerkats.
I bite my lip, and twin growls explode in both Alphas’ chests. We only have to kiss. That is all.
I try my luck with Ash. I rise, draping my legs over his lap as he rests back on the couch. His pupils explode. Now I run a finger around his sculpted jaw.
And then, I lean in for a kiss.
His lips are tentative at first. But then he soon melts into the kiss, wrapping his strong arms around my back.
I decided it was time to take charge. Perhaps the movie inspired me to seize my chance, realize my dreams…
Ash grows hard beneath his jeans, and I grind into him, making him groan.
That’s when I peer at Briar. I reach out my hand. He appears at my side. He’s hesitant at first, but when I push my long hair aside, inviting him to kiss my neck, he takes his chance.
Now my body shudders as he kisses the soft spot just behind my ear. When his teeth graze my neck ever so lightly, I melt into putty.
I start unzipping Ash’s jeans. He looks up at me in shock, grabbing my wrist. “Are you sure?”
I nod, biting my lip again. That action seems to make them both come undone. It’s a signal of my consent, after all.
And it’s all the confirmation they need.
Now I unzip him all the way, freeing him at last. He’s big. No surprises there.
And he’s hard…
I take off my PJ pants and then my knickers, positioning myself over him as I slide down. And then we meet each other’s eyes.
His pupils have completely taken over, and I no longer see any green. Just black.
Now, I thrust, rolling my hips as I edge closer to his knot. Briar keeps kissing a pattern up and down the back of my throat, nipping the juncture of my shoulder and neck.
I soon come apart, clenching and shuddering around Ash’s cock. He follows me over the edge, moving in rhythm with me. His knot swells, yet he doesn't lock me. Not today.
Another time…
We stop, pressing our foreheads together as we share breath.
We stay that way for a time before I step away, turning to Briar. Now I climb onto his hips, impaling myself over his hardness as I chase my second release.
Briar lies back on the couch while I ride him, and soon we’re both teetering over the edge of bliss. Like his brother, his knot swells, but he doesn't lock me in place. Again, I decide to wait.
It will make the anticipation all the sweeter.
It takes us a few moments to regain our breath. That’s when a knock comes at the door.
Ash checks his phone. “Pizza has arrived.”
I smile down at Briar. He grins. “Food is the last thing I want now.”
I smirk, leaning down to kiss his lips. Fuck, his tongue ring feels good on my own, and my Omega rears her head again.
He’s right. But we need to eat and regain our strength.
And then, we can return to this.
Movie, sex, and pizza…This night couldn’t get better.
