If my life were a cartoon, my face would have been the color of a ripe tomato.
Callum slowly placed his hands on my thigh and I flinched in response because of the sting.
Cold sweat streamed down my back.
My face must have been burning a 100? Celsius.
"Does it hurt?" His voice was controlled and lower than usual.
He looked me in the eye and it felt very intense.
It took me a while before I was able to reply.
In normal circumstances, I would have pushed him away.
But the fact that he was my mate and that I was strongly attracted to him made me keep my mouth shut.
I nodded my head slowly at him.
I would hate to admit it, but I was enjoying every bit of it.
The way those hands touched my inner thighs, his touch was gentler than I had expected.
He walked up to the table in my room and brought out a first aid kit that I hadn't seen before.
He poured some medicine on a cotton wool and walked up to me. He held my lap again and brought the cotton wool close to my legs. He doused my bruises once, twice, and suddenly stopped.
I thought there was a problem as he froze in place.
He suddenly looked me in the eyes and I recognized the now present lust that lurked within. He scanned my body down to my thighs, and his eyes went back up to my face.
My heart exploded as I looked at his face. He was very handsome up close. My wolf was on a rampage within me, synching with my emotions and turning them into a maelstrom threatening to destroy me from the inside if I didn't let them out.
I was sure my wolf was the reason why I wasn't able to heal up quickly.
Callum started moving closer to me. My heart leaped because I didn't know what to do.
It was the first time I had a one-on-one session with a man in my life.
I slowly moved backwards but he didn't stop moving. I could smell his scent, that intoxicating one that made my wolf rumble with lust within me.
"Mate!" My wolf roared within me.
I clenched my fist, but I was powerless. I found myself looking at his lower lips as he pulled closer to me. I wanted to push him but my body suddenly fell limp. I couldn't blame my body for its malfunction, because I also equally wanted to see where this would lead to.
Callum came close and proceeded to kiss my neck.
I felt something between my legs, a sensation I hadn't felt before. It was very intense, it made me want to burst. I wanted more of it.
He proceeded to my ear as he but softly at it. It was as if he was saving my lips for last. I sat there motionless as he did as he pleased. He kissed my ears and pulled at them with his lips and teeth.
All this time, my heart was threatening to fall out of my chest.
His powerful arms rested on both sides of me as he continued teasing me. He looked at me in the eyes and brought his hand up to my chin, his gaze focused on my lips.
"You beautiful thing," he groaned as he moved towards me. That was the first three words he had said in the forty-five seconds of our intense exchange.
His lips inched towards mine and I closed my eyes. I was about to be kissed by Callum, one of the three devils.
The three devils.
What was I thinking? What was wrong with me? Had I forgotten so soon?
My hands suddenly shot out in front of my chest before we could make contact as I pushed him away from me. I had acted on instinct.
Callum looked back at me in pure surprise. I could sense that it was the first time a girl had rejected him. He came closer to me again and I looked away.
"What's wrong?" He suddenly asked.
I looked at him and I slowly started to remember the embarrassment they had caused me earlier. I remembered the casualness he had carried when the Luna rejected me at the dinner. Out of the three triplets, he was the one that had annoyed me the most.
"Stay away from me," I moved away from him and I wore a nasty scowl on my face to show that I was serious.
Callum scoffed and held his hands together. "Come on, we both know we wanted this. You looked like you wanted this a few seconds ago, why are you suddenly getting mad?"
"I'm not one of your whores that you think you can bed easily. I don't know what the hell is wrong with you people, but leave me the hell alone," I said to him. My voice didn't match my words. I was still scared of Callum in a way, I hadn't forgotten the pain the three devils had caused me all those years.
Callum looked at me and tried to open his mouth but he put his hand to his mouth and looked around. He looked at me and turned to the door to leave. He left the first aid box on the floor with the cotton he had used to treat my bruises.
He closed the door shut behind him and I sank to the bed. Come to think of it, if he had come to the room, I would be expecting the others too.
I stood up and sank my fingers in my head in frustration. I wasn't really angry about Callum and the other brothers. I was angry with my body for allowing itself to be played by them. I was become a slave to my emotions.
I had to be thinking of a way to move out from here, to be far away from everyone from the pack. The room suddenly felt very cramped, even though the walls were far apart. I grabbed my coat and wore it over my nightgown. At least, no one would stop an Omega from going to have a walk in the night.
Everyone didn't care much about what happened to me anyway.
I got out of my room and I half expected the guards to ask me where I was going. They didn't even breathe at me as I passed, I considered it good luck. One of the benefits of my status, I was invisible to powerful people unless they cared to look at me. I noticed that people only talked to me when I was in their way, and I was rarely in anyone's way.
All the time I had spent in the residence, the other high-ranking wolves in the park I ran errands for didn't even look at me. They relayed their orders to Mrs Yvonne while she barked them at me and I ran off to do it.
It was painful, but I found it very amusing.
I walked out of the mansion with my coat on my nightgown with my boots. The night was very cold as I walked outside, with the guards ignoring me. I headed straight for the tall trees at the far back where it would be quiet and free from the guards.
I rounded a turn and I picked up a faint whiff of cigarette. I continued walking but I suddenly stopped when I caught a glimpse of the Luna's back under the moon. She stood with her back to me with none of her guards in sight, and she was enjoying her solitude just like me.
I started reversing in the direction I came from when Luna, Rebecca, removed the cigar from her mouth and turned her head to the side.
"No need, I smelled you a mile away," she said to me.
My hands suddenly started trembling. Unlike the other wolves, the Luna wasn't like the Alpha, she exuded an aura that made me tremble in fear. I cursed myself for taking that part for a walk.
I stopped and stood rooted in my position. I looked around for guards but it was just the both of us. Cold sweat broke out.
"Come closer, you are too far away," she said without looking at me.
I looked around and pondered about what to do. Should I make a run for it?
My legs obeyed her and I moved five steps towards her. If she wanted to kill me, I was within striking range. A quick swing would do it.
"At ease, if I wanted to have you killed, I would have done it when you were in the mansion," she turned and looked at me for the first time. Her greying hair betrayed the beauty on her face even when I knew she was around middle ages.
What she had said made me very uncomfortable. It was as if she was reading my mind. I'm any case, I kept my wolf ready in case she wanted to attack me. I looked around for an escape route that would get me away from her.
"How much do you want?"
The question took me off guard. My fears had been put aside for that moment. I couldn't comprehend her, what did she mean by what I wanted?
Why was the Luna of this great pack offering me something? I was a lowly Omega with nothing to call my own. A few hours ago, she had rejected me in a way that had killed my morale and now, she was asking me how much I wanted.
Her sons were already insane, she was already behaving in a way I couldn't understand. It made me start wondering if I had a special ability that made royal blood lose their senses.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are saying, Your Majesty—"
"Ha, playing the dumb game," she took a long drag out of the cigarette that it burnt out. She threw the blunt to the floor and looked at me. "Let me come out straight and ask you in a way you will be willing to understand. How much money do you need to be paid if I want you to leave my sons alone?" She asked me and rested her hands on her waist.
I took a step back as my breath was knocked out of my lungs. I rested my hands on one of the tree trunks for support.
"I think there is a misunderstanding here, I don't need money," I started speaking. I felt a little angry at Rebecca because she saw me like a cheapskate, but I wanted to keep my head on my shoulder so I spoke respectfully.
"Your sons are the ones following me. Trust me, I do not want to be with your sons, I want the same thing you want," I explained to her with my hands moving every which way.
Luna Rebecca shook her head and brought out another cigarette.
She brought out a lighter but there was the cigarette and the lighter far away.
"You think you have a choice? Is it because I'm talking to you? Name your fucking price and walk away or you won't like what happens to you Omega," she threatened me.
My anger was slowly being replaced by fear.
This was the Luna being involved here.
If she didn't believe me, I was in deep trouble.
"Believe me when I say they are the ones after me, ask anybody, ask them, and they will tell you themselves," I spoke quickly. My life was in question here.
Rebecca took a step towards me and I jumped backwards. Any more and I was going to break for it.
"You expect me to believe my sons would fall for you just like that. I'm a woman too you know, I know how it works. You seduced them, you had better leave them alone or I will get rid of you myself," she threatened. The entirety of her aura rushed past me and I trembled in fear.
Nothing I would say to her would make her believe me. This was slowly turning into a nightmare.
