Every day in our life during our childhood, she never failed to tell us that we were high-borns and that we weren't like the rest of the people around us.

She reminded us that our blood was power and failed terribly in the parenting department. She had failed to look at us like a mother, she was just too focused on the future and well-being of the pack.

I wouldn't blame my brothers if they became sadistic maniacs and chased poor Liv around then. Those boys were looking for entertainment, the same as me.

Although I'm not sadistic like them.

My voice of laughter filled the large hall and my mother looked at me in surprise, I guessed she hadn't expected that too.

Max glared at Mother and looked like he was about to fight her. I was ready, in case he wanted to tear at her. He was quite the hot-blooded one in the three of us.

"No!" Max growled at her. She looked at us in surprise, I could see that she hadn't expected that from us at all.

All our life, we always said yes to what she said.

"I'm done listening to you, nothing you'll say will make me change my mind, Liv is my mate and you are not taking her from me," Max shook with anger as he growled at Mother.

Ryder scoffed at Mother, I guessed he had recovered from the shock.

He folded his hands and stood confidently against Mother.

"You can't do anything, it is the mate bond. You can't interfere," Ryder started.

"I love her mom. Max, Callum, they love her," he came closer to Mom.

"We love her, you can't stop that," he shook his head at Mother defiantly.

Mother blinked several times. She was surprised at our rebellion. She clenched her fist and glared at the three of us.

"You are getting it wrong there boys, it is not a request, it is an order," she threatened us.

Ryder's expression changed, and there was a fire in his eyes. Max was even more dangerous, he looked like he would pounce on her any moment if she said the wrong thing.

I just wanted to leave this hall.

I wished I hadn't come here at all to listen to what Mother had said. I suddenly felt very sick when I looked at her. She was putting her interests in front of our own when it came to us. We were just mere tools to expand power.

"You don't get to choose, you never get to choose. I know what is right and wrong for you, that Omega cunt is nothing. What you feel, is not a mate bond. She has seduced you with some trick. I don't even care if you have a mate bond with her, I don't accept it!"

Mother roared at us.

I just nodded my head at her slowly.

She ignored me and continued.

"You will do as I say, or you'll seize to be my sons, all of you!," she lowered her voice to show she was serious. Her facial expression under the lights was very grim, it was as if she meant to harm us to reach her goals.

This woma—

"Then so fucking be it! Fuck what you say!" Max yelled and started walking away. The two guards at the door proceeded to block his way but a glare from Max scared them off. He went out and slammed the door close.

Ryder just glared at her after what she had said. He clenched and unclenched his fists at her.

Mother's facial expression had softened. She hadn't expected Max to talk to her like that. She blinked several times and I thought she was going to cry because of that.

Well, it was my turn to wound her.

"You never even cared about us," I scoffed. She turned to look at me. "You never cared if we ate, you never cared if we needed something, you never cared about our feelings," I spoke walked up to Mother, and looked her in her eyes.

"So why do you care now if we get married to an Omega? Hunh? Talk to me, why do you care? Father doesn't even care, don't let me get started about that one," I scowled at her.

"Y—you have to marry those daughters," she held her hands in front of her.

She was rubbing her palms in a way that showed she was getting worked up.

Even in this situation, she was standing her ground.

Remarkable.

I shook my head at her in denial.

"No," I refused. I moved away from her and stood at Ryder's side.

"Look, you still have a few more years. You can have three sons again, train them like you trained us, and marry them off to those daughters. They'll do as you command, but as for me, count me out," I shot her a glare.

Her mouth parted into a gasp at what I had said and she moved her mouth, but words didn't come out.

"Because as it stands, you can't order me around. You can't order us around," I turned around and started for the door. "Do have a good evening," I said without looking at her face.

Ryder looked at her and shook his head in pity. He followed after me as we headed for the door. The royal guards didn't even bother stopping us, or else I would have hurt them badly.

I grinned at the corner of my mouth as I stepped into the corridor with Ryder beside me.

I have always wanted to say that to her for a long time.

She can't order me around again, yes she can't.
