Lid's POV

The sun crept into the tiny creek of the window while I lay on the soft king-sized bed, rubbing my tired eyes continuously. I yawned tiredly as I sat up from the bed, looking around. The sleep I felt suddenly left me when I glimpsed a figure staring at me from the corner of the room.

I flinched for a second, my heart beating loudly until I realized it was just Frank. A sigh left my lips and then I frowned at him seated comfortably on a couch, legs crossed and his index finger pressing against his temple.

"What are you doing here?" I asked slowly, pushing the duvet from my body.

"You talk in your sleep" he smiled casually at me, bringing his legs down. My heart skipped for a second as that statement sank in.

"How long have you been watching me sleep?"

A little chuckle escaped his lip as he stood up, walking towards the door. "You will be late for breakfast"

"That doesn't answer my question" There I was, having the most peaceful night of my life, not aware that someone had been watching me sleep.

He humphed, turning to look at me. "What do you think Liv?".

"I don't know, why you were watching?" Did he realize how creepy that was?

"I chose too" The frown on my face made him chuckle. "By the way I just came in 10 minutes ago and met a sight that made me grab a chair. I should have gotten popcorn too"

My cheek flushed in embarrassment, thinking of everything I could have possibly said.

"You need to come down for breakfast," he mumbled one more time, waiting for me to get down from the bed.

The words struck me and I looked up in confusion, "What?" Frank had already done me a favor by saving me from Luna Rebecca. I didn't realize there were other benefits.

"I thought you were just going to hide me here until I leave"

I watched his eyebrow furrow as he dug his hands into his pockets. "Now why would you think that?"

Pressing my lips together I sighed, drawing my eyes from him. "Because I am an Omega, I don't think your parents would want that"

He scoffed. "And what makes you think they would mind?"

"There is no one who wouldn't"

"When you stepped into this pack, what was something you noticed?" he asked, staring at me closely, waiting for me to say it.

I shrugged carelessly. "The walls were massive"

"No" he shook his head "There is something you ought to have noticed, something that has stuck with you for a long time, but it's not the same here"

It took me a while to realize, but then it occurred to me that none of them stared at me with contempt as I have always been looked at all my life.

I turned to Frank in realization and as though he had read my mind he smiled nodding slowly, waiting for me to say the word.

Tears gathered in my eyes. "They don't look at me like I am filthy," I whispered, a small smile breaking out the corner of my lips.

"Exactly" he walked back to me, cupping my chin.

"There is a lot you need to know and staying at the dark moon pack is just going to keep you blinded for a long time," he said slowly, and then he turned to leave.

"Also, there are some clothes in the closet, get changed and come down from breakfast," he said slowly, leaving the room without giving me a second glance.

This is what I had always wanted; to live as freely as others, to not be looked at with contempt. But how could that be? Could they not sense me from afar? I was an omega by blood and it wasn't hard for someone to tell that even without me coming close enough.

I came down from my bed, heading for the bathroom. There were new packs of toothbrushes. Once again, I didn't fail to notice how everything was in place as though he had been waiting for me or someone else to use this room.

I tore the seal from the toothbrush and brushed my teeth and then I went straight to the closet to find out if there was something I could change to. There was no way I was having breakfast with Frank with the dress I was wearing. What if his family walks by and they see me?

Even though Frank had already assured me they wouldn't look at me with disgust, I still needed to be careful.

Whoa!

That was the first thing that eluded my lips the moment I opened the closet. There was no way the clothes were placed out of the blues. Different sets of dresses, pants, and shirts, all arranged in an orderly way.

I looked around in puzzlement as I picked up a dress that was my exact size. Since Frank only knew I was coming over yesterday, how did he have time to prepare this room to my taste? The clothes were my size, everything was just in order.

Something was strange, but I couldn't put my fingers around it. I picked up a plain dress from the numerous collections. I was going to ask Frank about this when I got downstairs.

It was a blue knee-length dress. It was right for breakfast. At least it wasn't such a big event.

After getting dressed and putting my hair in a messy bun, I walked out of my room. The least I expected was an able-bodied man standing outside patiently.

My heart skipped due to the trauma I had for guards from the dark moon pack.

"Sir Frank asked me to bring you over to the dining hall," he said softly, and again, there was no look of contempt in his eyes. Which marveled me

No words left my lips because my head was filled with thought. He gestured his hand in front as he led me. I had a lot of questions in my mind. I was pushed to ask the guard if he didn't realize I was an Omega, but I chose not to.

He led me down the stairs through numerous platforms and doors before we finally got to a door and he opened it for me.

"Thank you_"

Those words left my lips as my mouth suddenly became parched. My heart skipped a beat as I looked at the sight of the hall I had just opened.

"And she is here," announced Frank with a little smile on his face. He wasn't the problem, but the rest of the people there were.

Frank didn't say it was breakfast with his family. I couldn't understand how I was staring at the man who ran the pack; the alpha himself.

I didn't need anybody to tell me because I could already sense his aura of power from afar and then his wife who was Luna, alongside the three girls I saw at the party previously.

My heart pounded in my chest. There was no way I was fit enough to dine with an alpha and a Luna.

A frown took over Luna's countenance, not out of contempt, but worry.

"Is she alright Frank"

Frank stood up from his seat, walking towards me with furrowed eyebrows. "Are you alright Liv, you look troubled"

"I. I" forced a smile. "I am fine"

"Then come have a seat" My heart almost dropped at how powerful his voice sounded. It was no other person than the Alpha, offering me a seat.

I looked at Frank, with my eyes asking if it was okay. He placed his hand on my back as a gesture for me to move over to my seat.

"I am Jennie," Luna said with the warmest smile, stretched crossed her gradually aging face. Even at her age, she still looked exceptionally beautiful. I could see where Frank and his sister got their looks from.

"This is my husband_"

"Alpha Lucas" I spoke up even before she could further say anything. She smiled at me. I looked at the Alpha who gave a little nod of approval. His eyes were of the same shades as Frank, his hair the same, but there were little bits of grey that disrupted the darkness of it.

I walked like a robot to my seat, staring at everything that had been arranged over the table. Different kinds of food, from the ones I had seen before, to the ones I haven't. Was this what it felt like to dine with people of such high value?

"And I'm Olivia" a hand stretched towards me. It was one of the sisters. Her brunette hair cascaded down my shoulders, brown eyes peering at me as she smiled warmly at me with her thin lips. I took her soft hands shaking it.

It felt surreal. Why were they all nice to me?

"And I am Samantha"

"Janet"

The two other girls spoke out. They all looked alike. There was a triplet. Janet looked younger with dark brown eyes and long partially dark hair.

Samantha looked the oldest with her hair packed in a ponytail and half of her breast revealed from the clothing she wore.

"Have something" Jennie gestured for me to eat.

"You look so pale" she noted, turning to Frank who nodded slowly.

I picked up a fork from one of the trays, grabbed the chicken thigh from the bowl, and then on to the plate I had in front of me. Staring at it, for some reason I couldn't eat it. It was the nervousness, eating deeply inside of me. I didn't even know how to look them in the eye.

I knew for a fact they were boring holes in my body with theirs, asking themselves why I acted so weirdly.

"Liv" Frank called out to me and I looked up at him. "It's fine. You have to eat something" he pointed at my plate.

"If you don't like it, we can tell the maids to prepare something else."

"No I'm fine" I forced a smile. "I don't feel hungry that's all"

"No" Frank pushed further. "You have to eat," he said firmly and that prompted me to pick up the fork from the plate. With the little knife, I sliced a piece of the chicken and brought it to my mouth with my fork. It took forever to take it down.

I chewed and chewed. Frank was making it even harder because he wanted to make sure I ate. He barely even knew me, why did he care about me eating or not?

When I finally brought it down my throat. "Perfect" he nodded staring back at his food.

"You are from the dark moon pack," Alpha Lucas spoke up, more like a statement, rather than a question.

"Yes," I nodded slowly.

Luna Jennie sat up in her chair. "How long?" she asked, staring at me with all seriousness like the continuation of the world depended on my answer.

"All my life"

She nodded slowly. "That's good enough" She turned to the Alpha.

He shrugged. " We can work with that"

I turned to Frank in confusion, staring at him for an answer, but he only looked at me casually, and then he flashed me a smile when my frown deepened. What the hell did the Alpha mean by we could work with that?

I turned back at them. "Is there something wrong?"

The Luna smiled at me ."Not at all darling_"

"What new rules have been implemented at Dark Moon" the Alpha pushed further, cutting off the Luna.

Now I was getting uncomfortable. "I_ don't know"

"How close are you with the Alpha's family?"

"Not that close," I replied truthfully. If I hadn't become the triplet's mate, I would never have been in the picture.

"How powerful do you think the army at Dark Moon is"

I paused to think because it seemed Luna was getting stressed by me not answering anything. I kept thinking even though I didn't know the answer.

"Weaklings. They are relaxed" Frank answered on my behalf.

"Well, we don't know that. They might be putting on a show" His father, said equally not satisfied.

"What is going on" I dared to ask

Frank turned to me. "Nothing, just eat up," he said, but I knew he had a lot of questions to answer later on
