Chapter 1 Let’s Break Up

"Han Zheng, if one day I die, will you cry?"

"Or will you just feel it's a pity to lose someone useful?"

Han Zheng didn't speak. He moved his head and buried his face in my chest.

Right at my heart.

His hot breath rubbed against my skin with each exhale. My breath hitched. I couldn't help lifting his head.

The spot I touched was wet. It was his tears.

My heart itched. I was so happy I got a bit carried away and took his answer as yes. "Okay, okay, I know—"

"Gege, let's break up."

"I have someone I like."

His voice was calm. His expression was indifferent too.

The tears from earlier seemed like my illusion.

I thought I was immune to his pattern of giving a candy then slapping me. I didn't expect my heart would still hurt.

I couldn't shake the feeling that Han Zheng used his tears as a get-out-of-jail-free card.

I got up and tried to keep my voice steady. "What do you like about him?"

He seemed to recall something. His eyes brightened. "Wen Ci is different from you. He's cleaner than you and has dimples when he smiles."

Different from me. Cleaner than me...

I repeated it in a low voice twice.

Suddenly I wanted to laugh, and I did laugh out loud.

People in the gang saw me as the most loyal person by Han Zheng's side. He just had to crook a finger, and I'd handle any dirty or tiring task for him.

But in the end... he said he liked someone clean.

"Han Zheng, you really have no conscience."

I touched his neck and applied some force. "Sometimes I really want to kill you."

Actually, I couldn't bear to.

At most, I'd tie him up and fuck him until he couldn't speak.

Afraid I'd act cheap again, I let go neatly and stood up to put on my pants.

"Will you cry if I die?" He stopped me.

I didn't even turn my head and twisted open the door. "I'll laugh really loud."
