794 I HOPE YOU DIED A MISERABLE DEATH

"You have birthmark," Iris stated when she came closer to see Zale’s birthmark because the shape of it was pretty interesting. She saw this shape before and was curious how he could get the same exact shape of the Holy Knight’s crest.

No, she saw this crest inside that hut too...

The mark was right on the middle of his shoulder blades, so unless you saw it yourself on the mirror or someone told you, you wouldn’t be able to know it was there.

"Am I?" Zale asked, he tried to look over his shoulder, but it didn’t work.

"Yes, you have it." Just like Iris thought, he didn’t have any idea that it was there. "Here." She pointed at his birthmark and it shone.

The birthmark on Zale’s back gleamed with golden light, as if there was fire that emphasized the line of his birthmark, making it even more clear to see. The line of his birthmark became very apparent, as if you just inked the shape of it to make it more precise.

Zale yelped and Iris immediately retracted her hand and crouched down too. "What happened? Are you hurt?"

Iris was confused why Zale suddenly fell to his knees and whimpered. The sound of him drew attention from Eron and Dyne, the two of them came closer to see what happened.

"Luna? Everything is alright? What happened?" Dyne came to check on Iris, while Eron looked around their surroundings to look for a threat. "What happened with you?" Dyne asked Zale, who was kneeling on the ground.

"Zale, what happened? Did I hurt you?" Iris asked again, she was afraid to touch him. Did she hurt him accidentally? She didn’t think she used her power, but then she couldn’t say for sure about that.

Suddenly, Zale stopped whimpering, he blinked his eyes as if he was confused why he was wailing in the first place. "I am fine," he said.

"What is this?" Eron came to see him as well when he was sure there was no danger around them. "Are you trying to joke around?" he flicked his forehead. "You make the luna worried!"

"Aw! I am not!" Zale growled at him.

"Zale, tell me, what happened." Iris dismissed their banter. She saw the gleam on his birthmark, but was not sure what happened.

Zale then told her about the sudden pain when he touched his birthmark, as if he was being stabbed by hot rod, but then the pain suddenly disappeared, as if it was only in his head.

"You have birthmark?" Dyne turned his body around easily and the two of them saw his birthmark. "It doesn’t look like birthmark, it looks like you just got your skin tattooed with red ink."

Iris tilted her head to look at it as well and was sure the shape became even more glaring than before. It’s weird.

However, this incident soon was pushed to the back of her mind, as they needed to rest and had to go on the road early in the morning.

Zale would need to ride with Dyne or Eron, even though he said he didn’t want to be a burden and could simply shifted into his beast and ran following them.

Yet, Iris didn’t agree with the idea, because based on what she learned, maintaining your wolf form required a lot of energy, that was why when you were badly injured and you couldn’t preserve that form, you would shift back into your human form.

Most shifters died in their human form, unless it was a quick death in your other form.

With that, the four of them continued their journey to Cane’s campsite. The weather was no longer cold and the seeds take root and vegetation begins to grow.

The spring was finally here...

"Cane, tell me what is it with my birthmark!" Lou had been hunting Cane down with this whenever they were alone, even now when they were in the middle of the preparation to battle their way to get Bloody Wolf pack, he kept pestering the alpha about this.

He couldn’t ask this when there was other people around, because he didn’t want anyone to learn more about him. What if this was something he didn’t want other to learn? He had suffered a great lost because he had laid his secret in the open about him being a sorcerer.

"Seriously! I don’t know that you are so petty like this!

" Lou scoffed. "What if I died in the battlefield? I will make sure my ghost will hunt you for the rest of your life, so you will have another soul to be worried about aside from the lycan within you." Lou knew this threat was petty and childish and more like Cane wouldn’t fall for this, he didn’t believe, he would stoop this low.

"I will tell you if you survived this battle," Cane said and then walked away to check on the warriors, but the merchant wouldn’t let him leave without giving him a clear explanation.

"Wait!" Lou blocked his path and glared at him. "What if I didn’t survive? Do you want me to die without having a proper rest?"

"What the point of telling you if you died?" Cane challenged him, which made the merchant was tongued tied.

Lou really hated Cane’s guts!

On the other hand, Ethan was currently telling Aliana about what to do with their war prisoners, since she wouldn’t go with them to the battlefield.

"You must already know them," Ethan started.

Aliana raised her brows. "What are you doing with their faces?"

"I don’t like their expression, so I ruined their faces." Ethan nudged the closer man to him. "I ruined this one’s face before. He is ugly, so I didn’t make any different actually." He shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and Aliana was speechless.

There were three people there. Jax, alpha Gallot and his beta, Xo, while the rest of the warriors were put in different area. They didn’t kill them yet, because they still could use them if they agreed to pledge their loyalty to Cane.

For the warriors, they only starved them. It was an efficient method, since they needed to be careful with their ration and there was no need to feed their enemy, while the three main people here, took the brunt of Ethan’s brutality.

After all, the gamma was the one, who had the idea to castrate Mason in the past, so one could tell how cruel this easy going man could be when he put his mind in it.

"I have tortured them and tried to squeeze all the information from their mouth, but they didn’t have anything important." Ethan crossed his arms, contemplating. "Maybe you have different method."

"BITCH! If I have my hand on you, I will fuck... Ah!" Jax didn’t even finish his words when Ethan’s leg made a contact with his mouth.

"It’s a pity I can’t cut his tongue, because we still need him to speak." Ethan clicked his tongue. "But, we can still gauge his eyes and cut his limbs..."

Aliana rolled her eyes. "Leave them to me, I will think a way to get something from them." She patted his arm. "Go. You don’t need to worry about it and comeback safely." Ethan had a battle to fight of.

Ethan nodded, but then he stared at her, his gaze was so deep, as if he wanted to ask about something.

"What is it?" Aliana asked because she could feel his eyes on her lingered a little bit longer.

"Can I have a kiss? For a good luck?" Okay, he was being cheesy here, but he heard Lou grumbled about this when Iris gave Cane a ’good luck’ with a kiss.

Aliana was stunned, but then she gave him a little kick on his shin, so he could return to his sense. "There is no such thing!"

"I hope you died a miserable death!" Jax cursed him. "Let those beasts mauled your body to pieces!"

Ethan didn’t have time to react when Aliana had whacked him with a big rock that she could reach in a very short time. She whacked his head twice before she kicked him as hard as he could.

On the other hand, Ethan was stunned, so did alpha Gallot and his beta. They thought, Aliana would be easy to deal with.

However, after his shock, the gamma was actually happy enough to see Aliana was angry on his behalf.

"I think you killed him," Ethan said with amusement.

"I did this world a great favor then!" Aliana was panting angrily. Her heart beat so fast.

===============================

On their way to the campsite, they received great news about how Cane managed to corner alpha Derick and his warriors to the Silver River pack.

Though they had not yet fully in control over Bloody Wolf pack, but this progress was indeed a breath of fresh air.

Eron and Dyne basked in happiness when they stayed inside a cheap inn in the town.

This place was really in poor state, where you needed to watch your back, since there were many thieves from shifters to magic users.

They were the people, who managed to survive harsh winter with very little food and also the attack of crows.

Iris was also elated. If they managed to make this progress, it meant they didn’t suffer many loses and Cane was safe.

However, now alpha Derick brought his warriors to Silver River pack. That pack was the pack Cane abandoned because it didn’t give them any benefit.

Not to mention the Silver Warrior...
