797 THE LUNA’S GRIEVANCES

Iris mounted her horse when Aliana came to her, she was bringing plates full of meal, but when she saw the luna was about to leave, she handed the tray to the nearby warrior and then rushed toward her.

There was no way she was going to leave very soon like this, did she have a fight with the alpha? Even from afar, Aliana could feel the luna’s anger rolled off her body.

How much Cane had pissed her off to make her like this?

Aliana knew about the letter and this was not the first time Cane did this to Iris, thus it would be a futile attempt to remind the alpha that the luna was really miserable when he didn’t write to her at all.

"Luna! Luna Iris, where are you going?" Aliana quickly approached Iris, she looked around, but she couldn’t see the alpha anywhere.

What? Did the alpha let the luna leave just like this? He didn’t even come out to see her? Little did Aliana knew, Cane was currently struggling when Iris’s rage finally bit him back.

The alpha was still alive, of course, but now he finally felt the pain that he inflicted on her.

"I am leaving," Iris replied in a matter of fact tone. She tried to avoid Aliana, but she stood in front of her and tried to talk to her.

"Luna, I have prepared meal for you, at least, you can eat first before you left. You just arrived." Aliana was scared of her luna now.

"Move aside, Aliana," Iris said sternly, she made the horse to move aside to avoid Aliana, but she was persistence and blocked her way again.

Meanwhile, Eron and Dyne couldn’t do anything, even when Aliana tried to make an eye contact with them to help her persuaded the luna. The two of them didn’t want to taste Iris’s wrath.

The anger of a kind and gentle person was too scary!

"My luna, please, have a rest first, you can leave tomorrow morning. I heard you have not yet slept at all last night..." Aliana tried to persuade Iris even more, she didn’t dare to bring Cane’s name because she could tell the alpha was the problem here.

"Aliana, I told you to move aside." Iris used her luna’s voice when she gave her this order, which made Aliana stunned, she was speechless and was not able to do anything when she watched Iris rode the horse away from the campsite.

But, soon after Aliana could see from the corner of her eyes a black beast dashed away from the tent and chased after Iris’s little group.

Seeing that, Aliana prayed everything would end up well with the alpha and the luna.

"Aliana, you need to check on Ethan." Trion approached her and he looked worried, which made Aliana snapped back and rushed toward the gamma’s tent.

Because of the food poison accident not long ago, Grace had been very busy with the sick warriors and knights and she tried her best to relief the stress, the Serafim also did the same thing, but there were not much she could do since her power was limited.

She had been very exhausted to deal with the crows alone and to heal the sick people, it wouldn’t be recommended, since they didn’t know when their enemy would use dark magic and it would leave only her to deal with it.

Actually, Aliana was happy enough to see Iris was here, since they really needed her, but it would be very selfish if they welcomed her at time like this when they had ignored her for weeks.

On the other hand, the black beast managed to catch up with his angry little mate, not too far from the campsite.

The black beast ran beside the horse, but Iris simply glanced at him and ignored him. Iris tempted to use her power again, but it seemed, she still didn’t have a heart to see him in pain again.

There was this guilty feeling when she saw Cane was in pain, but her anger pushed it back down.

Meanwhile, didn’t get the reaction he wanted, the black beast snarled, which scared the horse and startled it, rendered the horse to stop running and became panic.

"Luna!" Eron and Dyne stopped their horses too, they immediately dismounted their horses and was about to help their luna, just in case, she fell from her horse.

But, they didn’t need to do that, because their alpha was already there. Cane had shifted into his human form and took the reign of Iris’s horse.

"Let it go!" Iris screamed at Cane. She glared at him viciously, but the alpha looked as calm as ever, which upset her even more.

"Get down, okay?" Cane spoke softly.

"No! I want to go!" Iris exclaimed. Tears threatened to fall on her face and she hated it when she had to cry whenever she was overwhelmed and angry.

"Where are you going?" Cane asked again, but his grip on the horse reign was firm. He looked up to see Iris’s little face and her sharp blue eyes. To be honest, he liked the sight of her being angry like this. She looked lovely and full of life.

This sight was better than the one that still engraved in Cane’s heart.

"I am going away from you! I don’t want to be here!"

"I thought you come here to see me," Cane retorted.

"No! I don’t want to see you!" Iris growled. Her curls stuck on her face and her auburn hair made her looked like she was on fire under the sunlight. "Let me go now! Or else..."

"Or else?" Cane raised his brows. Now, his mate was really threatening him. He wanted to know what she would do if he didn’t listen to her. "Or else? What are you going to do?"

"I will... squeezed your wolf spirit!"

By this time, Eron and Dyne had moved away, dragging the horses and Zale with them to give the alpha and luna space they needed to sort their problem.

"Do it," Cane said without even thinking twice about his answer and this pissed her off even more. He knew she wouldn’t do it for the second time, because if she really wanted to do so, she would have done it like what she did to him earlier without any warning.

The fact she didn’t, it meant she wouldn’t do it. Cane knew her this much.

"Do it, or let’s go back to the campsite and talk." Cane stood there like a guard, waiting for a decision that his master would make.

"I don’t want to talk with you!" Iris snapped. She was angry because Cane acted as if there was nothing happened. He didn’t address the matter properly.

Seeing this argumentation would go nowhere, Cane lifted his body and sat on the horse, behind Iris with ease. He did that very swiftly.

A moment ago, Cane was still standing beside the horse, holding the reign to prevent Iris from running away and now he was sitting behind her, trapping her small figure between his strong arms and made the horse went back to the campsite.

"I told you I don’t want to go with you! I don’t want to talk with you!" Iris was throwing a tantrum now, she tried to snatch the reign from Cane, which was a dangerous move to do, but the alpha could stop her by hugging her from behind with one arm and the other still held onto the reign.

"If you don’t want to talk with me, you don’t need to. You still can eat and rest without talking to me." Cane kissed her head, but Iris was not happy with the gesture.

"I don’t want you to be near me!" Iris said again. She felt like she had said the same thing before, but she couldn’t remember when or in what occasion she didn’t want Cane to be near her.

"It’s okay. I will stay in different tent," Cane replied patiently.

"For what? You don’t want to see me anyway, I will do you a favor and leave, so let me go!" Now a single upsetting tear rolled down her cheek.

"I am sorry, Iris if that’s the impression I gave to you." Cane squeezed her small body. He still felt the pain from what Iris did to him, but he was not going to mention about it. He deserved her anger. "I just couldn’t imagine you came here all of sudden and no one told me about this."

Iris was silent for a while. She indeed didn’t tell Redmond to write a letter to Cane, informing him that he was coming, but apparently, Redmond didn’t do that to see how shocked Cane was.

"That’s not even an excuse for the way you treated me."

"I know and I am sorry for that."

"I have been waiting for your letter, I know you are busy, I don’t even ask for you to write to me every day, but I have never received a single letter from you.

I feel like you abandon me. You forgot about me and you know how hurt I am to think that I am only a nuisance for you?

!" Iris let out her grievances, while Cane slowed down the horse and the other three people followed behind them, keeping their distance away from the two.

"And now I came here, but you looked at me very coldly! You don’t want me to be here, I can understand, but what with your coldness? !"
