802 A BUNCH OF IMBECILE PEOPLE

Iris went to the food storage with Grace and Abby, while Liam and Jace were standing on guard, since they didn’t know what to look for here. This was beyond their comprehension, thus they stood watching from the sideline.

Grace kept aside the food and water that had been poisoned and then let Iris to check on it, while she explained what she knew. She didn’t leave out any detail, while Abby chimed in here and there, giving her point of view from the approach of magic side.

In the beginning, thus who was poisoned would have a high fever and ached joints, for the shifter, some of them would have a hard time to shift into their beast, even when they could, the process would be painful, while for the knights, most of them would be bedridden, they were in so much pain to be able to move.

Ethan happened to get food poisoned as well, but only yesterday he actually collapsed and fell unconscious and this morning, Aliana found the burning scar on his left chest.

Aliana came with the alpha when they went to the Silver River pack, so she knew how Grebis disease looked like. Not to mention they were so close to the pack.

Based on their knowledge, this disease only spread among the lowborn in the Silver River pack, it had never been found out of the pack, even when they were there, none of their member was being infected. Thus, what was different now?

"We don’t know the reason how the disease can be existed in the first place..." Grace ended her explanation, while Iris stared at the water and the food without saying anything.

After that silence stretched out for another ten minutes, until Abby voiced out her opinion.

"If this is a disease, the divine power can’t do much..." Abby said carefully.

Iris brushed off what she was saying, as she stated. "The first Serafim can cure a disease."

"Yes, but the information about that is a little bit mazy..."

"I know she can," Iris cut her off.

Abby wanted to speak again, but then she remembered the first Serafim’s life essence inside of Iris’s body and she swallowed back her words, instead she tried to be supportive. "In that case, do you know how to cure the disease?"

"I only saw she used the lights the way I did," Iris replied. She tried to use the same method, but it was proven didn’t work. There must be something else. What she missed? "Can’t you remember about another information regarding this matter?"

Abby furrowed her brows.

"Serafim," Liam called her, but it was obvious it was a reminder for Abby not to disclose more than necessary and this pissed Iris off.

She hated it when someone hurt the people that close to her.

"If you can’t help with anything, you better scram from here!

" Iris shouted at Liam, which startled Jace and the rest of them.

Her little face filled with rage. "Do you think it is important to keep information at time like this?! Do you really think the disease will only inflict Ethan? All of you will die too if we don’t solve this problem, but what are you trying to do?

Keeping the secret and not helping at all? !"

Abby glared at Liam because he made the situation became even more complicated, despite her warning not to interfere. Abby agreed with Iris, but she knew Liam meant well. He only tried protecting her.

"Liam, please leave," Abby said, she tried to deescalate the situation.

"I want you to leave too." Iris directed her eyes at Abby. Her concern toward Ethan had clouded her mind and she didn’t want to be around these people.

"Talk to me if you have something important to give, aside from that, you can keep your secret to the ground.

You and your people from the Holy Kingdom is a bunch of imbeciles! "

Iris vented out her frustration, she wanted to scream and curse, she hated them all for not taking this matter seriously.

Iris would give her heart and her everything to heal Ethan, but what they were doing? Keeping information? What for?

If Liam had a spirit wolf, Iris would have squeezed it, until he could feel her pain. Fortunately for the knight, he didn’t have it.

Liam wanted to argue, but Abby shut him down and dragged him out of the food storage. "I will let you know if I remembered something important."

Abby knew Iris had every right to be upset with her and her people, but she couldn’t help this bitterness in her heart and jealousy. Why would the first Serafim choose Iris to have her life essence when she only became a miserable Serafim that worth nothing?

"Luna..." Grace wanted to appease Iris, but she didn’t want to be bothered.

"Please, leave, Grace. I want to be alone for a while." Iris shook her head, her eyes still fixed on the water and the food on the table.

Jace gestured for the healer to follow him out of there, leaving Iris alone. She tried to crack this problem. Na had done this in the past. She could do it, but why she couldn’t?

Iris tried to find something important in Na’s memories, but it was so hard, it felt like the memories slipped away from between her fingers. It felt like a long dream that she almost forgot.

On the other hand, Cane found Zale, who was still bickering with Lou.

"Where is Iris?" That was the first question that came out of his lips when he saw Cane was alone. He had been wanting to meet with her, but she slept the whole day and night yesterday and he didn’t want to disturb her after such a long journey.

"She is in the food storage," Cane replied and Lou didn’t say anything anymore, as he dashed toward the food storage.

"Why don’t you stop him, alpha?" Zale protested. "He is going to see the luna!"
