805 I THINK I GET IT

As if on cue, there were five beasts emerged from behind the rocks. They must have been here since the beginning and noticed there was someone else entered the area.

"Once I told you to shift, run and don’t look back," Cane said when Zale was about to protest, but the young boy immediately realized that was the best plan for them right now and nodded.

"I... I will bring a lot of people, I will bring reinforcement for you, alpha," he said with determination. "D- don’t die."

Cane said nothing and when the five beasts were about to attack him, he told Zale to shift and the young boy dashed away toward the campsite without looking back, just like what the alpha told him to do.

The only thing that he heard was vicious growled and the sickening sound of flesh was being torn. The little wolf tried to move faster and faster. He didn’t care when the sharp edges of the rocks around him cut his flesh, as he tried to reach the campsite as soon as possible.

He prayed there was nothing bad would happen to the alpha and the first thing he did when he reached the campsite was asking for help.

It was Joel and Pax, the first people Zale saw.

=================================

After such a long silence, Iris reached out her hand and grabbed the warrior’s hand again, which made him a little bit flustered to be touched by the luna.

This warrior was only having food poisoning, not Grebis disease. They would be fine after some rest and concoction from Grace, though it would take time for him to really recover.

However, what Iris did next, left them all speechless.

This time, Iris didn’t try to heal the warrior, she simply gave him her a bit of her divine power, but his body rejected it, as if there was something that rejected her power and this made his wolf spirit became restless.

Iris watched how the wolf spirit fidgeted and then narrowed her eyes at the way it responded to her divine power. The wolf spirit kept shaking its head, as if there was an invisible leash that tied around its neck and this made Iris pushed her divine power even more.

"Arrghh!" The warrior growled, as he felt the pain and Iris stopped what she was doing, still staring at the wolf spirit.

"Luna, what happened?" Grace asked carefully, she went to check on the warrior too, but was surprised to realize there was no more trace of poison in his system.

"This..." Grace was flabbergasted.

"What happened?" Jace immediately came closer to the healer and asked with concern in his voice. "Something happened?"

"I can’t sense any poison anymore from his system," Grace replied. "His body is started to heal." Because of the poison, his healing power worked very slow, but now it could be said the warrior would be fine by tomorrow. It was only the exhaustion that was left. He would be fine eventually.

On the other hand, Lou was surprised too when he heard that, he stared at Iris, who murmured something to herself.

She didn’t care about her surroundings, who looked at her with amazement.

"How can you do that?" Lou knelt down in front of her, eager to learn what she had been thinking and how she could do it when Grace and the Serafim couldn’t. Well, to be honest, Lou didn’t have a high hope for that Serafim. She was akin to a mere magic user with a fancy title.

"I think I get it..." Iris muttered to herself.

Iris didn’t explain herself, instead, she stood up and then looked around her. The tent was big enough to accommodate around two hundred people and these people were the people, who had it worse than the other.

There were shifters and knights too.

Iris looked around one more time and started to heal them one by one, as she held their hand and they felt the same pain like the first warrior felt, but then when Grace checked on him, they were fine, the poison had gone.

All of them were surprised, but also elated, especially the warriors, they had this proud look on their faces with the fact it was their luna, who had healed them, not the Serafim.

The knights didn’t make it obvious, but there was this subtle comment here and there that the Holy Kingdom had done more than the shifters because of the Serafim. Since, there was no one could deal with the black magic, but their Serafim.

However, with Iris healed them all, the warriors could brag about this and shut those knights up to keep talking about their Serafim, since she couldn’t heal the poison like their luna did.

During the whole process, a warrior entered the tent and informed Jace about what happened.

"Pax and Dean have led twenty warriors to help the alpha," Eron said. He glanced at the luna. "Should we tell her about this?"

Jace contemplated for a while, but it was Lou, who answered that.

"Nah, don’t disturb her." Lou glanced at Eron. "Do you really think your alpha will die because he is being surrounded by five beasts?" Lou had witnessed how Cane killed two Brinetallon within a few seconds almost at the same time, a mere five beasts were only a fly for him.

Jace and Eron understood what Lou implied, they knew about the lycan and decided not to tell Iris, because it would only make her worried.

"After all, I guessed, he sent the boy away because he wanted to kill all of the attacker without interruption. The boy will only get in the way after all, he will not help with anything, so Cane chased him away."

And it seemed, Lou understood Cane a little better, because that was what happened.

Because the moment the reinforcement arrived, they witnessed at least, a dozen dead bodies littered on the ground, while the alpha didn’t seem to be bothered by it.
