814 THE DARKNESS CONSUMED HER

At first no one noticed what happened to Iris because all of them had their focus on the gamma. Redmond and Jace helped to carry him to the side, where Grace and Abby would look after him to make sure he was out of danger and his life was no longer hanging by a thread.

At this time, Aliana had stopped crying, her beautiful eyes were so red like a rabbit, as she followed behind Redmond and her brother to the sideline. All the onlookers were very curious about what was going on with the gamma.

However, when they noticed the burning scar had disappeared, they erupted into a cheerful celebration, knowing they wouldn’t lose their gamma. Their luna had lifted the curse and once again, their luna had proven to them how powerful she was even the Serafim couldn’t match her power.

Started from the curse on baby Vemion, Joel and now Ethan, not to mention a few instances that not all the people knew.

Meanwhile, this fact alone left all the knights were dumbfounded, they started questioning the Serafim they served. How could a runt in a werewolf continent could manage to beat her in everything?

Abby could feel their gazes on her, but Liam stood tall beside her to shield the woman from all eyes on her.

He could feel how uncomfortable she was, especially when Abby was still affected by the black magic that she managed to absorb, though it was not enough to save Ethan’s life like Iris did, but she got a backlash for her action.

For now, their gazes were not really bothered her, because Abby had to deal with the turmoil inside of her, as the black magic brought the worst moment in her life.

Yet, Abby noticed the salamander in her pocket wriggled its body. She was not sure when the creature had sneaked into her pocket dress. She brought the Salamander with her when they left for the battle with the permission from Iris, thinking Abby would need the creature more than her.

The salamander became very restless, as if this creature felt something and this made Abby looked away from the people, who were overjoyed by the fact the gamma was saved.

She tilted her head and watched Iris was walking to a certain area, while Lou was following her. Cane and a young boy were still kneeling on the ground.

Abby couldn’t hear what Cane was shouting about, because of the commotion around her. More so, they were too far for Abby to see their expression and figure out what was going on there.

The Serafim still had this bitter feeling.

Iris was fine even after she absorbed the black magic from Ethan, she didn’t have any backlash and now even the people from the Holy Kingdom, the knights were questioning her power.

Abby envied her. Iris got her power easily, without even trying.

Why would Na choose her to have her life essence?

Why wouldn’t she choose someone from the Holy Kingdom?

The next Serafim? What the meaning of dozen Serafim that came before her then if the Serafim from the Holy Kingdom couldn’t even be compared to someone with Na’s life essence?

Abby tried to push down her jealousy, but it was hard when her heart had been tainted. It was hard not to envy Iris and hate her.

But, the truth was; Abby didn’t know what kind of hell Iris was going through right at this moment.

The swords were the symbol of the purity of the divine power that Na had left behind.

With the five swords were broken and gone, it meant the Serafim’s heart had been tainted completely and Decratic could devour Iris’s misery and despair, rendered him to grow stronger, because of the unique manacle that they shared.

Currently, Lou was trying to stop Iris and try to talk to her.

The merchant fought back the dreadful feeling that he felt, while Cane was trying to deal with excruciating pain that Iris inflicted on his wolf spirit, so did Zale.

The poor young boy curled his body on the ground, writhed in pain, until Iris was far enough from him and he was no longer could feel the affect of her power.

Cane stood up when the pain was a little bit bearable and chased after his mate, despite the fact, it was a torture to come closer to her.

"Are you insane?! Go back! I will talk to her, are you going to kill yourself?!" Lou frowned when he saw Cane approached him and Iris. He knew what Iris had done to the alpha and Zale and her ability to squeeze the shifter’s spirit.

This kind and timid woman was actually able to kill the shifter without touching them and commanded monsters.

Lou had learned about the ability that Iris held, thus he knew Cane would be in danger if he was being obstinate to approach his mate at time like this.

However, it would be a very scarce moment when Cane listened to Lou and right now, it was not that moment.

His steps were not fast and you could see in his eyes how much pain that he had to endure just to be close with his mate.

"Iris," Cane called her. He grabbed her elbow and turned her body around, but what greeted him was a pair of eyes that was very foreign. He felt like he was talking to a different person. This was not the woman that he marked, this was not the mother of his children...

Iris had never had this so much hatred in her eyes, the rage that she had was mortifying.

Yet, Cane desperately reached to her. "My love... come back to me..." he whispered in small voice. He pulled her back into his arms, pressed her head against his chest, despite the excruciating pain that she inflicted.

Cane had told her months ago. If they happened to be separated, she needed to find a way back to him...

The alpha held her tightly, he could feel how far she was. Iris was out of his reach and fear gripped Cane’s heart like the pain did.

On the side, Lou watched the two of them and said nothing, but he knew the situation right now was way more critical than what he saw. Something was not right with Iris and he could feel it, though he couldn’t put his finger on it.

But a second later when Lou thought Cane managed to get a hold of the situation, suddenly he and Lou were being pushed away, as if there was a shockwave that knocked them down.

Both of them were thrown to the ground a few steps away from Iris, as they watched her stared at them with the emptiness in her dark eyes.

"They killed my daughters. My babies. I am going to kill them all. All of them." Iris said emotionlessly. Her voice and words were very cold, like a frozen river.

Iris turned around and walked slowly toward the area, where they held the war prisoners, but this time, no matter what Lou and Cane did, they couldn’t come close to her, as if there was a very strong protection shield that prevented them from approaching her.

"Cane, what now?! What happened with her?" Lou was panic when he couldn’t break the protection shield and watched Iris approached Gallot and Xo.

The two of them didn’t directly involve with the death of Chrystal and Rora, but obviously they were part of Decratic’s plan.

Decratic and his pawn, they caused her to have an early labor, killed her first baby and destroyed her last resting place. They cursed her second baby and put Rora in so much agony before she passed.

Iris wanted nothing, but blood in her hands!

Gallot and Xo were put in one place and the two of them were confused with the look that Iris gave them. Even though they were put a little bit far from the main camp, but more or less, they knew it was Iris, who had created the white blinding light earlier.

They heard about how she cured the food poisoning and now she let out murderous intention that emanated from her body, which directed toward them.

"Wh- what?" Gallot stuttered. He had seen Iris when she was little when he visited the Blue Moon pack to have the dirties party in his life.

Iris was only a timid little girl at that time, a little girl with bright blue eyes, who instead would apologize when she was being hit, but the woman that stared at him right now, was someone that he believed could take down a monster on her own.

Gallot, Xo and the rest of the war prisoner had been given Rottingbane leaves, which rendered them were unable to shift into their beast, but it didn’t mean they didn’t have their beast... Iris still could see their spirit, laying dormant beside them.

"You cursed my baby... you destroyed my baby’s grave..." Iris spoke emotionlessly.

Even though it was not Gallot, but everyone was the same in her eyes. All of them. Iris wanted them to feel the same pain like she had right now.

"What?! No! That’s lady Cyan’s idea!" Gallot struggled against the silver chain that tied him down against a big pole behind him.

Iris couldn’t care less about what he was blabbering, as she stretched out her hand and touched his forehead.

It was a simple touch, she didn’t even use her strength at all, but the skin that touched the tip of her finger melted, like a steel was being melted by fire.

The sound of Gallot’s scream shattered the cheerful commotion in the distance, as they started to pay close attention to what their luna was up to.

Iris stared into Gallot’s eyes when her finger penetrated his forehead. Blood oozed out from the hole that she created, but Iris didn’t even flinch with the horrendous sight before her eyes.

She might be indeed Gerald’s daughter because she enjoyed the sight so much. The scream soothed her nerves and the warm and sticky blood was not really disgusting, once you got used to it.

At this time, Iris’s forefinger had fully penetrated Gallot’s head, leaving a hole there, while the man was still screaming, without being able to move his body. He couldn’t even struggle, nor he was able to move his finger.

This time, Iris’s hand entered his head and his wail stopped when her whole fist had perched inside his brain.

Once the alpha was dead, Iris pulled her hand away. Blood dropped marred her hand and droplets of it pooled on the ground near her feet, while Gallot died with a big hole on his forehead.

Xo wailed in panic to watch the whole thing unfolded, he begged for forgiveness to the luna, though he didn’t know what he had done wrong, aside from following his alpha’s instruction.

"Please... please! No! Don’t kill me!" Xo tried to get away from Iris, which was proven as a wasteful attempt.

This time, Iris didn’t torture the beta, but black wisp that emanated from her body made a slashing movement and cut Xo’s head very fast, the next second, his head had rolled on the ground.

Meanwhile, all the warriors and knights that were about to approach Iris stopped in their track and watched in horror of what she had done.

"This is not good..." Abby muttered. "The darkness consumed her. We need to stop her..."

Abby remembered the lesson she learned in the Holy Kingdom and the last image, where the Serafim’s lights had turned dark.

On the other hand, miles away from there, in the untouched land, Decratic grinned from ear to ear, as he beckoned Dexter to come out with the creature that had been hiding in the darkness all this time.

"This is the time..." Decratic said, he then proceeded to create a portal.
