815 LU, NA AND DECRATIC

Abby gathered her courage to come closer to Iris, she disregarded her own pain, because regardless of everything, as the Serafim this was her responsibility to bring peace into this world and what happened with Iris was one of the worst things that could happen.

With Liam’s help, Abby approached Iris, but Cedric came to her and tried to stop her.

"Where do you think you are going?" Cedric asked. He was still dumbfounded of what the luna was capable to do. She looked very dangerous and as the Serafim’s protector, it was his duty to make sure she was out of harm way.

"We need to stop her!" Abby said hastily, she looked scared. "We need to reach her before something really bad happened!"

"What do you mean?" Cedric asked and the other three warriors came to them to hear Abby’s explanation about what was going to happen if they let the situation escalated.

The information that Abby relayed to them was something that only a Serafim knew and once Abby finished with her explanation, all of them got a better understanding of the critical situation they had right now.

At the same time, Lou was still trying to get through the protection spell that prevented them from coming closer to Iris.

"I don’t know that she can do protection spell!" Lou looked at the alpha, asking for clarification, but Cane was staring at Iris and the black wisp that surrounded her, he was in a deep thought. "Hey! Do you have any idea or plan about this?!" Lou was annoyed because he was being ignored.

Still, Cane didn’t pay close attention to him. He raised his hand and touched the transparent shield and closed his eyes, but when he opened them again, it was a pair of red eyes that you could see.

Lou was slightly taken aback to see this, because he knew he was not facing Cane, but the lycan instead. It was the cursed creature!

"Uhm, I don’t think this is a good idea to let him out now, Cane," Lou said with a frown. "The Serafim and her five underlings are coming this way." Lou nodded at the six people that approached them.

However, Lu didn’t listen to him. If there was one similarity between Cane and Lu, it must be their ability to ignore the thing that they didn’t deem important.

Right now, his focus was on his mate and the black wisp. Lu seemed to notice something, as he let out his own black wisp from his body and this made Abby and her five knights stopped in their track.

"Well, whoever you are, I don’t think I can cover you this time by saying the black wisp comes from me." Lou clicked his tongue. That was the excuse they gave to the people from the Holy Kingdom whenever they asked about the black wisp, though all of them knew it was a bullshit.

And yet, Lu didn’t respond to that too.

The black wisp surrounded the protection shield that Iris had created, it crawled on the surface of it, letting them knew the real size of the shield. It was big enough to accommodate three to four tents.

All of the people that watched this gasped. Most of the warriors and the knights didn’t have any idea what was going on, thus they could only look from the distance away and wait.

"Hey!" Lou tried to get attention from Cane or whoever he was right now. "What are you going to do?!"

They widened their eyes when they witnessed the black wisp that covered the entirety of the protection shield and a second later, they felt this strong shockwave that toppled them to the ground and a deafening sound from something was being broken.

Lou closed his eyes and the next thing he saw was only darkness, as if his surrounding was filled with this thick fog and he couldn’t see anything more than a meter away from him.

"What the hell?" Lou called for Cane and Iris, but there was no respond at all.

This murky and thick fog was a result of the broken protection shield that surrounded Iris and it was not a great deal for Lu to be able to find her.

Iris was standing still in the same place, staring at him with emptiness in her dark eyes. She balled her fists to see him and when Lu tried to come closer to her, she used the black wisp to attack him, which he dismissed with a wave of his hand.

"You can’t hurt me with my own power, Na," Lu said. His voice was very tender. "After all, I am the one, who gave you this power."

Iris didn’t say anything, but she kept trying to ward off Lu from coming closer to her, but when she couldn’t stop him, she turned around and was about to leave when Lu hugged her from behind. He hugged her so tightly and buried his face against the crook of her neck.

"Na, I know it’s you..." Lu said. The lycan was not like his usual self, he took things seriously and didn’t try to act recklessly like he used to. "I finally found you."

"I am going to kill them all," Iris said. "I am going to kill Decratic and everyone involved. I am going to kill them all."

"You know that you can’t kill him when you are like this. You feed his power with your anger and rage." Lu kissed her neck and Iris’s body was stiffened.

"I am going to kill him. He killed my babies. He killed you. He made the people burned you."

Hearing that, Lu knew exactly what happened right now. It seemed, Na’s memories and Iris’s memories fused together.

Just like Cane and Lu, Iris also had Na within her.

The only different between them was; Cane and Lu had their own personality and feeling, their emotions and what they thought were separated, it was two different entities within one body, but it didn’t happen with Iris.

Na had been using her power, her life essence to keep Iris from being tainted by the darkness.

She meddled with her emotions and mind too deep for so long.

Iris had Na’s life essence ever since she was in her mother’s womb, she carried Na’s life essence in her entire life and Na had been using her power to shield her from all the negative things that happened in her life.

However, what Na could do was limited. She could only block the most horrifying memories Iris had, or made her forgot her traumatizing experience, to keep her heart pure and do not give up to the darkness.

Years of doing so, left Na with nothing, but memories and emotions. That was why, Na couldn’t really resurface like Lu did to Cane.

And now her last effort failed, all the negative emotions and memories returned, including Na’s own rage and resentment.

At this moment, Iris was not only enduring her own negative feeling, sadness, pain, misery, despair, rage, anger and everything in between, but she also had to endure Na’s and Ethan’s worst memories too.

This was too much for one person to endure everything all by herself.

Therefore, right now, the person that Cane held in his arms was nothing but a shell of all the rotten feeling and painful memories, rendered him unable to feel the mate bond between him and Iris, because his mate was hidden at the bottom of all agony that was going through her veins.

He needed to reach her, but more importantly, Iris needed to have the courage to face everything that weighed him down and was willing to come back to Cane.

It was not an easy feat at all, because she needed to face her trauma, Na’s and Ethan’s at the same time. This was why, absorbing dark magic was very fatal for a Serafim, a person with divine power.

And this was what Decratic’s aim since the very beginning. He wanted to break her into pieces.

Decratic wanted Iris to feel all the agony and inflict so much pain, she wouldn’t be able to keep her purity, causing her to lose her divine power, which leading to break the swords on her own.

The swords contained with Na’s divine power, that was why it could purify the next Serafim that came after her from all the negative things.

Thus, for the swords to break and vanish, it was a symbol that the Serafim had been thoroughly tainted with rage and vengeance, as she lost her divine power.

It was the reason why, every time Iris went through bad experience and violence thoughts fleeted in her mind, the swords would dim and crack.

Decratic knew about that and it was in his nature to take things slowly, torture the subject with the most excruciating pain, taking what dear to Iris, to Na in the worst way possible, leaving her to deal with the agony of losing their loved ones.

This was always his method and you could learn that from how he used the people that the Serafim supposed to protect, to kill the one person that she loved the most, Lu.

And Decratic did that to Iris by taking her babies... one by one... letting Iris thought she managed to save at least one of her babies, only for that hope to be shattered completely.

Putting someone in misery and then giving someone hope, only to be shattered them was a game that Decratic loved the most.

After all, a prolonged pain was better than a short one.

"Na..." Lu called for her. "Guide her to comeback..." he said in whispery tone. Lu was having a hard time to contain the power that Iris unleashed. He tried to get his power back, but it was impossible, because his power had fused with Na and by extent with Iris too.

However, when you thought this situation couldn’t be worse than this, the universe proved how wrong you could be.

All of sudden, there was this strong gush of wind that wipeout the thick and murky fogs from everyone’s sight, clearing the area, as a portal appeared not too far from where Iris and Cane were standing.

Vicious growls filled the air, along with the sound of the knights unsheathed their swords. The look of anger on their faces when they saw Alan came through the portal.

The king looked very fine with his black armor and a smirk on the corner of his lips.

Some people might only see him as the king, but more than a handful people knew he was Decratic.

The ancient creature that was the reason why the Serafim and the Holy Kingdom existed, because their sole purpose was to destroy this exact creature completely.

Something that the first Serafim failed to do it.

"ATTACK!" Jace roared and shifted into his beast, followed by all the warriors. The beta led all the warriors to attack Decratic.

He was alone. He came here alone and they couldn’t let this opportunity slid. Taking him down when he was alone, giving them a high chance to kill him.

But, Decratic was not that stupid enough to deal with thousand warriors and knights on his own.

He didn’t look panic at all, as he waved his hands and dozens of portals appeared, spitting out ridiculous amount of monsters to fight the warriors and the knights, keeping them away from Na, Lu and Decratic.

All of these monsters had been inflicted by dark magic. Now, Decratic had enough power, the monsters he summoned, doubled the number of monsters that attacked them the last time.

This was the same old method that he liked.

"Na, we meet again," Decratic said with feeling.

However, Iris used the black wisp to attack him and Lu shifted into his lycan form, he charged toward Decratic, as the ground was shaking and a monstrous creature came from the sky.
