836 IT WAS A HARD DECISION

"There is no way the baby can shift," Abby said, her mind was racing with her heart, she couldn’t think clearly and her heart now was pounding against her ears.

"If you have not yet noticed it, I can’t shift too, Abby." Iris pointed this fact out, in which Abby forgot.

Abby shook her head, she tried to compose herself, but failed. "I heard about the golden eyes of the king’s bloodline and I know your babies had golden eyes, how can you pass that?"

"There is no need for everyone to see the baby, once the baby was more than a week old and the golden eyes faded, no one could tell." Iris had the answer for every doubt Abby had for this suggestion.

Cane had talked about this, even though it was only a brief conversation, but he also suggested to raise a child to be an heir and now Abby’s baby would be a great opportunity.

With how similar Iris and her was, no one would question the baby and more importantly, no one would challenge him for not having an heir from his flesh and blood, since this matter could be a huge problem in the future.

Cane himself agreed with this idea when Iris came with this suggestion. He didn’t have any repudiation on it, if this was what Iris wanted, but he warned her about Abby’s rejection.

For Iris, it didn’t matter, the final decision was still on Abby. She only wished they could find a better solution for this.

"You want to take my baby because you lost yours?!" Abby was getting emotional, she didn’t know what the right reaction to respond to Iris’s suggestion and she said the thing that she shouldn’t, in which she immediately apologized, knowing her error. "I am sorry, I didn’t mean to say that."

Iris took a deep breath to calm herself down. She could control her emotion better now. What Abby said was hurt, but she could sympathize with her circumstance.

"I suggested this not with the intention to take a baby away from their mother. That’s a cruel act.

My suggestion stands for giving the baby a chance to live, if it’s possible.

" Iris stood up. She rapped her finger on the little bottle, she showed Abby before, which filled with the abortion potion.

"There is nothing, absolutely nothing, can replace my babies.

" She caressed Abby’s shoulder. "Think about this. "

After saying that, Iris walked out of the room, she felt a little bit suffocated, but after she composed herself, she felt better and all she wanted was to find Cane.

"What happened?" Cedric asked, he glanced at Iris and then at the closed door behind her, where you could hear Abby sobbed softly.

"You can come inside, we have done talking," Iris said and then went to look for Cane. She wanted to be consoled by him.

But, on her way to find Cane, she met with a little boy, she had not yet seen for a while. The young boy was talking to Zale, as Lil Thing was laying lazily on Zale’s feet.

The poor bear lost one its ear and every time Iris saw it, she felt so bad.

"Luna Iris!" the little boy, who was talking with Zale saw Iris and rushed toward her. His face lit up, but Zale was not really happy. "I have been wanting to see you!" he said.

Iris recognized this young boy. Of course, she knew him. Even though she didn’t stay for long in this pack in the past, but this little boy was always on the back of her mind.

"How are you, Nolu?" Iris asked with a beautiful smile.

"You remembered me!" Nolu squealed in delight when the luna remembered his name. He didn’t expect this at all, he then turned around and then looked at Zale. "See? I told you that the luna will remember me!"

Zale scoffed, he didn’t like it, but he said nothing and focused on Lil Thing instead.

"How are you, Nolu?" Iris repeated her question. She stretched out her hand to pick a leaf from his head.

"I am fine, luna!" Nolu replied with excitement. "You are here again! You comeback!"

"Yes, I do." Iris liked to see this little boy smiled and then fished out a candy from her pocket, which she got from Grace and then gave it to him.

"Thank you, luna!" Nolu beamed with happiness.

"I want candy too, luna!" Zale said, he hastily approached Iris and Lil Thing followed, the big bear nuzzled at her hand, asking to be scratched.

Iris gave a candy to Zale and then scratch Lil Thing.

"I have not seen you in the pack house, where have you been?" Iris asked Nolu. The little boy and his mother supposed to live in the pack house, but after a few weeks she was here, she had not yet seen him.

"My mother and I have been living outside of the pack house luna, because after you and all the people left, the Silver Warrior ran rampant and threatened us to leave the pack house.

So, mother took me out of the pack house.

" Nolu then added. "They only left this pack when alpha Derick took over it and used this place as his and his warriors’ base. "

They didn’t meet before when Iris distributed food because when Nolu and his mother arrived, she already left and Aliana was the one, whom they met.

Iris was surprised this little boy, who looked like the age of seven or eight years old, was having this high awareness of his surroundings and knew what was going on.

"Where are you going, luna?" Nolu asked. "I will escort you." He took a step in front of Zale.

"You don’t need to, I will escort her. You can go back." Zale didn’t like it, he pushed Nolu back and stood in front of him instead.

Iris was amused with the way the two of them were fighting for her attention. "I am looking for the alpha, have you seen him?"

"Yes!" Both Zale and Nolu answered at the same time and this made Iris laughed.

"Alright, let’s go together. Lil Thing too." Iris felt her heavy discussion with Abby was not really bothering her anymore. All she needed to do was to wait for what decision she would make.

In the end, the three of them walked together, with a lazy white bear trudged behind them. Sometime, Iris forgot that Zale came from this pack, that was why he knew this place like the back of his hand.

On their way to find Cane, who apparently overlooked the rebuilding of the pack member’s houses, which still continued until now, they met a few group of little children, who played around.

"Luna! Since you are here, we are not hungry anymore!" Nolu said. He then told her about how the Silver Warrior took their money that the alpha left to them and then occupied the pack house, where they couldn’t have an access to food. The winter was so harsh and there were so many people died.

Zale listened to that casually, for him, there was nothing important to listen to because he had gone through the same thing for years.

"When the warrior from the Celestial Moon pack here, they overworked us and only gave us a little to eat." Nolu’s expression turned ashen.

Before, Iris strongly disagreed with Cane’s decision to abandon this pack, but now she was glad, Cane still helped them and treated them equally like the rest of the pack member from the other packs, despite whether or not, he still considered to abandon this pack or not.

Those little children stared at her, they looked scared, but curious at the same time. This must be because her auburn hair, under the sunlight, the color must be very attention- grabbing.

In the distance, Iris saw Cane, he was talking with Lou. She didn’t have any idea what the two of them were talking about, but it seemed, once again, the alpha had frustrated the merchant to the point he balled his fists and glared at him, yet Cane didn’t budge, he stared down at him.

It didn’t take long for Cane to notice Iris’s presence and then shifted his attention from Lou to her and then smiled, which made Lou frowned and followed his line of sight and the sight of Iris made the merchant waved both of his hands frantically and jogged toward her.

"Can you tame your mate? He almost killed me!" Lou complained frustratedly. Behind him, Cane walked toward them.

"I didn’t see you are in any form of danger, Lou," Iris said, she held back her laughter when Lou told her how Cane wanted more food from Karam continent and forced him to use his connection to make it happened.

"Why are you here?" Cane walked past Lou and then kissed Iris on the lips in front of the merchant and the two young boys. His towering figure blocked the sight of Lou.

"That the sign for us to leave," Zale said, he covered Nolu’s eyes and dragged him away. "Let’s go."

"Hey! I am talking with her!" Lou complained, but Cane didn’t give him the opportunity to talk more and take Iris away.

However, when Lou wanted to follow, a warrior came to him to report something about the ship that he requested.

"Hungry?" Cane asked. The two of them walked hand in hand and all the people could only gush of how beautiful the sight of them.

"Hm." Iris nodded and then Cane took her to the outermost of the pack and found a big tree, where Cane took off his cloak and used it for her to sit on it.

Iris didn’t realize, there were two women followed them with food and she couldn’t help, but laugh. "This is like a picnic!"

Cane waved his hand for the two women to leave after they finished to arrange their food. "There is not much food that left. Earlier, I went to hunt with the other warrior." He pointed at the two roasted rabbits.

The food indeed not much, but Iris was willing to eat even only vegetable if it was with him. "This is perfect."

With that, the two of them ate their lunch and talked about trivial thing before they came to the main topic that they needed to discuss.

"Tomorrow, the Holy Knights will arrive. Do you know what the Serafim will decide with her pregnancy?" Cane asked, he put away the plates and the leaned against the three, he pulled Iris closer to rest her back against his chest.

"I don’t know. I can see that she wanted to keep the baby, but it will be very dangerous for herself if she did that." Iris narrowed her eyes, she stared at the blue sky. "But, from what I heard, Liam is very furious with her decision to get an abortion."

Cane nodded. He kissed her head and played with her hair, feeling the wind against their skin.

"What is your plan with alpha Colter and Koda, Cane?" Iris lifted her head to see his face. "I have this feeling that you will not actually let the baby became the king, right?"

Iris believed Cane had his own plan, but he had not yet discussed it with her. "I have a plan for that." Cane lifted her head even more to kiss her lips. "But, for now, let’s focus on destroy Decratic and deal with the Holy Kingdom."

Cane’s hands became restless, as he slipped through her dress and squeezed her breast, which rewarded him with a delicious moan into his mouth.

"Cane... we are in the open... people can see us..." Iris wanted to push him away, but all she did was to pull him closer.

"I will not let anyone to see you like this, Iris...." Cane murmured against her mouth and his other hand caressed her inner thigh
