Chapter 13 #7

“Not to mention the pressure from the Supernatural Council on this pack to use me as they please, which I’m sure you don’t care about. The attacks that would come… that you should care about. Because technically your entire core family are Warriors.”

Patricia jumped up shouting, “The Supernatural Council would take you away and lock you up! It was better here before you showed up.” I had her by the throat before I had comprehended my own actions. I squeezed so tightly Patricia began to choke from the pressure.

Melanie replied, “Oh my gosh… not only are you wrong… you’re so ridiculously obtuse it’s sad. The Supernatural Council would just be a group of people trying to use me. I fall under the jurisdiction of the Werewolf Council.”

“Since you don’t know things about packs that are basic knowledge… allow to me to educate you on what that means. The Werewolf Council would have to grant permission every time the Supernatural Council wanted to use me, which they would never do.”

“It would be a big point of contention with Werewolves alike…. for many reasons. No one wants to think their mates could be used at someone else’s will and whim.

You start with powerful Wolves… then you start taking those who are most skilled at fighting.

It spirals, you see? Taking me would be an act of war against Werewolves, but that brings two other Kingdoms… and more with it.” And more?

Dylan squealed, “YES! Speak the lore into our lives, MelAshley.” Melanie waved her file seemingly not hearing Dylan because she was so focused. My mate declared, “This isn’t the only time you’ve given them information anyway.”

Melanie handed a file to my mom, dad, Aiden, EJ, and then cleared her throat. I turned towards her to see she had her hand outstretched towards me with a file. I snarled, “Phil or Gage get the damn file because I’m not sure anyone could PRY my hands off this bitch’s throat.”

Phil grabbed it and began to scan through it. Gage linked, “I have whiskey. I feel that’s going to be important.” That did seem likely. I eased back on my grip so Patricia could breathe then dropped her in surprise when my mom’s feelings hit me full force. I guess I could let go.

Mom’s anger slammed into me so hard my eyes blazed brighter as a portals opened. My Grandpa Titus and Uncle Bjourn walked through one. Hastein and Gabe came through another. I turned to my mom with a question in my eyes.

My mom called the wind and threw Patricia across the room, popped, and punched her in the face. Mom shouted, “YOU TOLD THEM EVERYTHING MY CHILDREN CAN DO! YOU SPIED ON MY CHILDREN?!”

I glanced at EJ in shock, but he was still reading. I linked, “Phil, what is my mom talking about?” Phil winced answering, “Patricia reported on all the hybrids, Alexander. All of us.” Gage chugged the whiskey he had and poured more.

My fury fired on all cylinders. It wasn’t a secret that Angela was the Fairy with the most powerful sight. Nor was it a secret we had powers. We did hold some details back from everyone outside our allies about everything we could do, for protection.

It was supposed to be a secret how good Cassie was with her Fairy powers. Some of my siblings had big powers that we’d hidden. Most people just think they can do Fairy basics, but they can do so much more than we thought was known.

Patricia cried, “It was harmless!” Melanie told us, “Patricia has earned twenty million dollars since she joined this pack by feeding the Supernatural Council information. Money that I told Mike and Bradford about yesterday. Bradford, did you decide what you want to do with it?”

Bradford answered, “Give it to charity.” Patricia growled, “You can’t do that!” Melanie snorted, “I have access to your account… so yes, I can. Easily… actually.” Bradford urged, “Spread it around to good charities. I don’t want it or anything from her.”

Patricia cried, “Bradford!” Bradford turned to her saying, “Preston, Julian, and William are my age mom. If I had abilities, would you want to hand me over to someone who wanted to exploit me? You handed information over that was not safe or secure. We have faced enemies because of this. We just didn’t know that’s why they were coming.

I was seriously injured three years ago because of you. ”

Patricia gasped, “That wasn’t my fault!” Melanie disagreed, “It was… quite literally your fault. The attack on William and Preston was orchestrated by a Coven that has Ring ties. Their information came from the details you gave the Supernatural Council.”

My mom blew off Patricia’s finger which made her scream in pain.

That pain called out to me as a Healer, but my Fairy side didn’t even really care.

Patricia deserved it. Uncle Aiden stood and announced, “For your offenses against the royal house of Faerie; on the Princess, Dukes, and Duchesses, you are under arrest. You will await trial in Faerie. After your trial, I assume the King of the Hackura would like you to have your trial there.”

Uncle Bjourn nodded, “I would. I’ll agree that Patricia should go to your realm first because this was about their Fairy powers.

” Uncle Aiden smirked. My mom growled and threw Patricia to Uncle Aiden with her wind.

Mom declared, “If you wish for her to live for that trial, get her OUT of my fucking sight!” Uncle Aiden popped out a second later.

Phil said, “This is an intense file. Also, Cousin Bjourn it was not just those with Fairy powers. It was all Hybrids, me and my siblings included.” Uncle Bjourn’s anger hit in full force now. Phil continued, “Also based on this file, the Supernatural Council will be coming to visit us.”

Melanie reasoned, “They would’ve come eventually even without Patricia.

They are going to use me as an excuse. I’m the perfect reason for them to visit and try to scout the area.

They don’t know about this email Patricia sent naming me as the white wolf; however, they have heard the rumors that the white wolf showed up and fought.

They will come here under the guise of discussing me… and….”

My dad interrupted, “And the paperwork they can’t seem to get to us.” Melanie didn’t respond to that. I growled, “They won’t take you from me.” Gage agreed, “Nope. That’s not happening. Not my Luna. Not in this lifetime or the next.”

Phil snorted, “It’s not going to be a problem, Alexander.

Your mate has a separate file in here laying out their inadequacies.

They either leave or Melanie files a suit about their inept ability to do their job.

” Melanie nodded, “Their time will come for their wrong doings, but for right now we need them to back off and go about business as usual.”

My mom sighed, “Damn it. I really FUCKING HATE that I can see your logic and plan.” I put it together a second later. I turned to Melanie saying, “You want to use the fact that their files are compromised. You want to bait the Ring.”

Mom complained, “It’s fucking brilliant and HIGHLY irritating at this particular moment.” Melanie agreed, “I do want to use that. We can start setting traps with this knowledge… but if the Supernatural Council starts acting differently… the Ring will catch on.”

I growled, “I’m not using you as bait.” Melanie tilted her head humming, “I’m not really bait. They are just going to come here about me anyway. I don’t even have to pretend to be angry with them. It’s not just me either though.”

“Sierra and Addison are going to back me up. Paige has her own path with them on the Coven’s they were supposed to be watching over. They don’t want it to get out. They will excuse their behavior… they will posture… but they will get a call from their boss, and they will leave.”

I snarled, “Then you’re on their radar as a problem.” Melanie shrugged, “I am already a problem for them. It’s not a secret to the Supernatural world Nashville is not a place that the Conners or their allies are friendly with.”

“It’s not a secret that they had the Supernatural Council ‘watching’ over them. There are rumors out there now about how they either are dirty and lining their pockets… or that they can’t do their jobs. If I file a suit, then it’s not just a rumor… it’s public knowledge.”

“It will come out that they are both inept at their jobs and lining their pockets and they don’t want that. They particularly don’t want Haley specifically to know that. Since she could kill them with your uncles… any combination of them… Hackura or Fairy.”

My mom snorted, “But I already fucking know.” Melanie reasoned, “But they don’t know that and they want you on their side.

” I raised an eyebrow questioning, “Why?” Melanie snorted, “She’s powerful and has powerful pups.

If they are on the side of your parents…

you guys are more likely to offer assistance, should they ask. ”

I frowned saying, “They’ve never asked us for anything.” My dad chimed in, “They have. We just didn’t know they knew more than we’d told them about what you all can do. We denied their requests. They have not requested our help since you boys took over.”

Elise snorted, “Which means a big request is coming.” I growled, “Angela and Cassie that has to be who they have requested.” My dad sighed, “They’ve requested all of you at one point or another.

They commonly request your mother. Your Grandpa Titus, Uncle Bjourn, and your Uncle Aiden have harshly denied that request, along with me. ”

I gasped, “Why didn’t we know that?” My dad answered, “Because they haven’t requested help for quite some time now.” EJ linked me, “Something tells me that they have.” I turned to look at him, but he was looking at Melanie. My mate was picking at her shirt. I snorted out loud commenting, “Right.”
