Sierra commented, “Mel, you’ve got your training later today.
” Phil raised an eyebrow at his mate. Melanie straightened, “Right! I need to go prepare for that… you guys can read the file… it’s long…
there’s a highlight sheet… because Si said that my files needed…
a highlighted overview… it’s still long… but shorter than the big file.”
Melanie kissed my cheek and said, “See you later.” My mate took off like a shot with Sierra following her. I asked, “Where is Abigail?” Gage answered, “She is setting up the gym. So, they didn’t need to leave, they just wanted to.” Interesting.
Phil said, “Ok. I think we need to know more of what Melanie knows. Did anyone else get that sense?” EJ replied, “Literally all of us did.” Bradford asked, “Can we go?” I cringed, “Are you two alright?” Mike said, “I feel ten times lighter, but I’m not worried about myself. Son?”
Bradford shrugged, “I’ve been preparing since yesterday. I told myself that if mom just said one word in the form of an apology, I’d be there for her. I know she loves me, I do. I just can’t understand this. I know she preached the mentality of our family comes first, but betraying the pack?”
He hung his head continuing, “That’s just so far out of bounds and crazy.
Mom tried to hurt the family that has kept us safe and tried to hurt the Muffin Luna.
Who agreed to help me even though I was an ass.
Even though she had every right to ask her mate to banish me or have me in the dungeons for my actions. ”
“Luna Melanie simply knocked me on my ass instead. She could’ve left me there to think, but she showed kindness and mercy when I didn’t deserve it. The Muffin Luna just doesn’t abide by anything mom taught me to expect from leadership.”
“I need to grow up and be my own man. I won’t lie and say it doesn’t hurt because it does.
I love mom, but she’s messed up. There’s no saving her from this.
I know she’ll die for what she’s done. I also know it won’t be a long time from now.
I just want time to figure this out and find myself.
I do want to talk to my mom before she dies though. ”
EJ said, “Let us know whenever you wish to speak to her and it will be arranged.” Bradford left with Mike. I couldn’t help but notice that was a different Bradford than I’d seen since he was a pup. My mate really got through to people.
I said, “I assume in this file that my mate handed over it details out that Bradford and Mike didn’t know anything about this.” Gage chimed in, “Dude, I haven’t even seen the file and I know the answer is Melanie knew they didn’t know.”
Phil snorted, “Melanie checked everything and has proof they didn’t know.” Cayden admitted, “Cassie popped in to talk to them this morning with her Guard. That will be the proof because my mate would’ve used her Truth Seeking ability.” I nodded, “Alright.”
I called Cassie’s phone. My sister answered, “Do I get to know what your mate had me ask Bradford about his mom for yet?” I snorted, “You don’t know?
” Cassie said, “All I know is that Melanie asked me to pop to Bradford, with my guard, and ask him and his dad if he had any knowledge of the things his mother did.”
Cassie huffed, “Other than her training schedule, Bradford knows nothing. Which isn’t surprising, the man is self-involved. Mike just doesn’t care, but he knows her schedule. It was a little sad even though Patricia sucks.”
I sighed, “Patricia has been reporting on our powers to the Supernatural Council. On all of the hybrids. She also tried to tell them Melanie is the white wolf, but Melanie stopped that information from getting to them.”
Cassie was quiet then whispered “You mean…” I snorted interrupting, “The Supernatural Council knows everything us and our siblings can do. Our cousins too.” Cassie snarled, “OH THAT FUCKING BITCH!” I heard Cassie pop away.
I told Cayden, “I believe Cassie and her Guard are now in Faerie.” Cayden opened a portal and left.
I looked at EJ declaring, “We need to get our siblings together. Phil, you need to do the same with yours. Shit, we need to talk to Austin and he’s going to lose it.
We’ve kept Arlina’s powers under wraps. I’ll link Cory to gather his siblings.
Cousin Emmaline, you need your pups to be aware as well. ”
Dylan smiled, telling us all, “Finn received his own copy of our pack hybrids Supernatural Council File. Little now a Beta Malachi got one for Yellow Hills and Beta T got one for Red Run. I’m sure you’ll be getting a McAlister freak out phone call in three, two, one.” My phone rang.
Dylan clapped, “GOD, it’s so fun being me.” I answered the phone, “Hang on, Jase.” I linked Cory, “I need you to gather your siblings in the main house here. If they can’t come now that’s ok, you’ll just have to fill them in later.”
I then linked my cousin Austin, “Are you with Arlina?” Austin answered, “I can be.” I urged, “Get her and yourself to the main room in the main house.” Austin growled, “What happened?” I snorted, “We got some not so great news.” I closed the link.
I took a deep breath and said, “Jase, I don’t have a lot of time.” Jason growled, “How the HELL did Patricia of ALL people get around ALL of us?” I snorted, “We don’t monitor our pack's email communication.” Jason sighed, “Yeah, apparently my little sister is big brother.”
I laughed, “Be glad my mom can’t hear you.
We will figure it all out. Patricia can’t have too much information on everyone else.
It’s mostly going to be us.” Jason sighed, “It probably is. Still, it’s obnoxious.
Dalton and Dakota are trying to formulate a plan as to how to catch this in the future. ”
I replied, “Something tells me there is already a plan in motion, we just don’t know it. There will be people in every pack who pass tidbits to the Supernatural Council. That just is what it is. To this scale though, they flipped someone in our pack.”
“They probably tried in yours. If you don’t have a name, then the odds are you don’t have one. Robert was just a betrayer to the Ring. So, there’s that wonderful news. You had that going for you. Robert probably didn’t realize he could double dip.”
Jason admitted, “Malachi got a name.” I groaned, “Great.” EJ said, “We can call him later. Everyone but Cassie is waiting for us. Our sister is going to be brought up to speed by Cayden.” Uncle Bjourn snorted, “Don’t mess with a woman who leans towards her Hackura side during pregnancy.”
My mom added, “Cassie is probably worried about her own children. She won’t want someone reporting what they can do.
She’s probably DAMN glad the pack doesn't know she’s pregnant yet.
Because if Patricia had given information on that, I’d have strung her up by her toenails and left her hanging somewhere.
AFTER I took her wolf, which I will still fucking do. ”
My Uncle Bjourn said, “It takes a long time to die that way.” My mom snorted, “That was NOT going to be how that bitch died, just how she suffered while waiting. I have a whole fucking plan. That you all and your trials fucked up. Now, I have a different fucking plan.” My Uncle Bjourn smiled, “She will suffer, little one.” My mom sighed, “I know.”
I walked out of the office and met my siblings and cousins in the main room.
EJ linked me, “I’ll start the conversation.
” I nodded. EJ told them all, “I wish I had something happier to update you on right now. Mom always taught us that sometimes betrayal comes from a place you don’t expect.
That it stings, but you learn from it and keep going. ”
Calvin asked, “Who betrayed us?” EJ answered, “Patricia has been giving the Supernatural Council information about the hybrids in this pack and the allies closest to us for quite some time. They know most of what all of us can do.” It was dead silent.
Porter cursed, “That mother fucking bitch!” EJ added, “Dad has received requests from the Supernatural Council for us and our abilities over the years. Alexander and I have not received any since we took over, and I have my suspicions as to why that is.”
Cory interjected, “Without a doubt it was stopped by the Muffin Luna. Did she hack the Supernatural Council?” I answered, “Technically she hacked Patricia first, I think. Then continued to hack the Supernatural Council.”
“It’s clear their files are compromised.
We’ve wondered how the Ring has been able to target our family directly.
It’s haunted me particularly with my mate’s situation, but they had inside information.
They have for years. We don’t have the edge on them we thought we did as far as the powers we didn’t think they knew we possessed. ”
Austin growled, “Do they know what my Luna can do?” EJ answered, “They do. The Supernatural Council know what all of the Henderson’s can do.
They have more information than I’d like about all of my cousins in this pack, Hackura included.
Hell, they know more than I wanted anyone to know about my siblings. I’m sorry guys. I failed you.”
Preston disagreed, “You didn’t, Patricia did. Are we going to fight the Supernatural Council? They are coming for Melanie, aren’t they? Patricia knew Melanie was the white wolf. She saw her that day and told a bunch of people before William and I shut her down.”
I answered, “Melanie stopped them from receiving the communication about her being the white wolf. Then dug into what all they knew about us and our allies. My mate believes they will show up here under the guise of checking on her, given everything that’s happened.”
Calvin asked, “What’s the plan then?” EJ explained, “Melanie wants to use the fact that their files were hacked by the Ring to give them false information and bait them into a trap. To do that, the Supernatural Council has to run as it always has. Technically speaking, Ladybug plans to blackmail them.” He wasn't wrong.
