Melanie screamed, “EVERLY, DUCK!” The leader had gone after Everly.
I linked Bradford, “This bastard knows who her family is! Where are their reinforcements?” Bradford answered, “I think we’ve found them.
It seems the old Alpha that ran Alpha Cameron’s territory had a bunker.
Somehow these guys knew about it. We need reinforcements. ”
I linked EJ, “Bradford has their reinforcements and requires back up.” EJ grunted, “On that.” I told Bradford, “Your back up is coming. Good work! Wait until they arrive so you can safely engage and do NOT get hurt. Do you understand me?” Bradford answered, “Loud and clear, Alpha.”
Everly and Melanie were surrounded again. This was highly irritating. I let loose a roar and began ripping through the Bengals. They had one they were keeping in the very back. He couldn't have been that old, and they were clearly protecting him.
I popped and grabbed him. I linked the pack, “I have the one we are keeping alive.” Several hisses of anger surrounded me. I told the young Bengal, “Shift back.” He immediately did and I snapped him clothes.
I asked, “And you are?” He sighed, “My brother is the one fighting your mate.” A brother he seemed to have no love for, but his older brother clearly loved him. His brother had him guarded after all. I threw him at Cory who popped away.
I shifted into Oden and ripped through the Bengal’s. Maverick linked me, “This bad guy’s back up is no more.” Good. Everly was injured. Melanie’s family was pacing as Melanie took on five Bengal’s. Egres has somehow gotten in with her. He engaged one of the Bengals that came at her back. Thank god.
Dalton linked me, “Paige killed their Witch. She said you should be in…” he trailed off then shouted, “Now.” I ran at them, and they were not prepared. Oden agreed, “They are clearly surprised we’ve gotten through.” Oden roared at them.
I jumped on the back of the leader. Melanie took out two more as I took him down. He shifted back. The man taunted, “Do it. I’m hardly the first coming. You are not worthy of the power she has, so more will come.”
“I am the first in line coming for her. Just know, even if I die you won’t keep her. Your kind thought she was a legend. You don’t deserve her, and we all know it. We revere her. We are the ones who were worthy, you never should’ve had her.”
Freya took over and spoke, “You called me a thing when my human and I are a person. All you want is the power I have. That does not make you worthy. My mate has been written in the stars since before you were a thought. I am where I am supposed to be. More than that, I am where I belong. You will never succeed in taking me.”
Freya stalked over and punched him in the face so hard his tooth fell out. My mom picked it up and I snapped his neck. Cory announced, “We’ve killed all of them over here.” Maverick popped in, covered in blood, but an inhale told me it wasn’t his. I snapped it off him all the same.
Maverick announced, “Bradford is damn good as a Tracker. He found secret hideouts all OVER the Daniels territory. There were a lot of them.” Emmett growled. EJ popped in, “Well, thank god you caught one of them alive. They had a death wish.”
Emmett said, “Marvelous. Luna Melanie, what did you give my sister?” Melanie answered, “A serum like Laxenread. I’m still working on the name… but it’s for the Hood to combat Mintor poisoning… which I feel you know…. so asking was… a choice.”
Emmett snorted, “Of course it is. We should talk about that.” Melanie winced saying, “I’m already late for my first meeting of the day. That’s a bad look since I just became the Luna… and it’s with my father in law… but he was here fighting too.”
“So… it’s not like he’s waiting for me and I’m just like late. He’s right there too… still being late seems like a bad way to start off my first official meeting… not being there… and being late… but I’m certain every person coming is here… so… maybe that’s not so bad.”
My dad laughed, “I won’t hold it against you.” My mom snorted, “How the fuck could you hold it against her? You are late too, and she’d beat you back to the house if she took off running. I’m not popping you back if it’s a race. That wouldn’t be fair.”
My dad laughed and kissed mom hard. I grabbed Melanie and did the same.
When we pulled apart, I went to heal Everly, but my mom must have already.
I asked, “Does anyone need to be healed?” My mom answered, “You and Melanie were right, they targeted mates.” I checked bonds with my siblings instantly.
Max was in a state. Mom told me, “Your brother is fine. Micah handled his fucking self but got a scratch. Which your brother is being next level about. I’ll heal it in a second.
Melanie linked all the women they were after them while she was helping my friend Dylan.
There are a few Warriors I’ll heal, but nothing major. Dylan and Emma got the worst of it.”
Dylan said, “Now, now, everyone remain calm. I had to protect my daughter in law. Plus, we all heard LSGAP’s terror when he thought I might die. He cares about little old me and he practically shouted it from the hilltops.”
Dylan turned to his oldest pup, “It will be in the memo Finn Frost, or I will have to send an additional one. LSGAP loves yours truly. He was worried that I would die. It’s like he forgets we are surrounded by people who can help save our furry selves.”
Dylan cooed, “Say MelAshley, what do you say about you and Luna Glenda the Good Witch over there working on a way to make that obnoxious shield not work against the popping, used to being able to get inside everything, all the time Conners pups?”
Melanie sighed, “Paige and I have ideas… we just need to test them.” My dad said, “You can work on them in our facility.” Dylan grumbled, “Because he does have one and his daughter in law is uber smart and will save all our asses. Let’s not forget that MelAshley might be my adopted daughter one day. So, then I’ll have one over LSGAP.”
My dad said, “Angel, please pop Melanie and I to our meeting.” I hugged Melanie. Phil linked me, “Her office is ready and set up. It’s the one next to Elise’s.” I told Melanie, “Your office is ready according to my Beta. My mom knows where it is.”
Melanie smiled asking, “Really?” I nodded. My wife kissed me and I poured all my feelings into that kiss. When we pulled back my mom smiled at me and popped away with Melanie and my dad. Dad linked me, “I’ve got her. Your mom grabbed Egres too.” I replied, “Thanks, dad.”
EJ clapped me on the back, “Are you ok?” I snarled, “I want to know what groups of Supernatural’s believe the white wolf is real while the rest of us said it was a legend.” My brother nodded. I said, “Let’s go talk to the one we have. I have questions.” EJ smirked.
Dylan squealed, “OH ME TOO!!!! I had a trying morning, and I need to be helpful. Lacy is practically glued to me. It’s such a hardship. She’s so voluptuous and sexy.” Lucas growled, “DYLAN!” Dylan gasped, “Really? You can’t even let me say that after I almost DIED!”
Lacy growled, “You were never dying.” Dylan winked, “Right you are. I had tricks up my sleeve. Dylan can’t go out via Tigers.
I shall die the oldest of us all, besides Lacy.
She can’t leave me, I’m going first. It’s already decided.
” Lucas huffed, “Exactly! You get to be the oldest so don’t pull any of that shit. ”
Dylan replied, “My heroic moves were awesome and I know that you know that. Anywho, MMSGAP, I can still help you with Lacy glued to my side because I can speak white wolf language.” I agreed, “Come on then.”
Lacy snorted, “Dylan is right by the way, I’m coming too. You are not getting out of my sight, you crazy, brave man.” Dylan wiggled his eyebrow, “Ohhh I do love it when you take that ‘I won’t be messed with’ Alpha tone. It does things to me.”
Lucas groaned while Cousin Emmaline slapped him on the chest. I grabbed Dylan and popped to our prisoner. This kid was going to answer my questions.
